went to QED Laundry in Milwaukee last night and had a surprisingly good experience. We showed up with three black plastic contractor bags stuffed with clothes and honestly expected a long, expensive evening. Instead, we were in and out in about an hour, and it cost barely over $25 to wash and dry everything. That alone was a win. There was a slight learning curve at first. The machines use a reloadable card that you purchase from a kiosk, so figuring out how to load money onto it and operate the controls took a few minutes. Once we got the hang of it, everything ran smoothly. The larger capacity washers and dryers handled our massive loads without any issues. The only downside is that the facility is unmanned. There's no attendant on site, and the phone number listed on Google rang to a voicemail unrelated to the laundromat. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if you run into a problem. Overall, it was clean, efficient, affordable, and got the job done. I'd definitely come back. read more

Great place to do laundry. They have an after hours key for people who work odd hours. Machines work great all the time. Sometimes they don't but they're always labeled and because I'm at night it doesn't affect me. The prices are really competitive. If you're there during normal hours the staff is great. They're always working hard and they're lovely people. I miss living on that side of town. Only con: Once upon a time I went to do laundry and this tweaker couple kept trying to get into the establishment. I was there alone at night and management had to call the cops twice. The people left and came back. They tore up the flowers outside. Would be nice if they had more security. I don't know how they would do that without hiring a night person. It would be nice if they didn't have to do that to keep costs down. Overall I love this place. The couple wasn't enough to scare me off. Your laundry machine locked up with my towels stuck in the washing machine stopped in the middle of a cycle and states out of order I cannot retrieve my belongings. You do not have a phone number to contact in the building and the phone number that is attached to all your sites on yelp and everywhere else talks about some mental illness health number. read more

QED laundry is clean and bright with plenty of folding tables. There are many high efficiency washer machines and dryers. The washers can use liquid or powder bleach and fabric softener. Cards are welcome. There is also a change machine. I was able to wash a mountain of laundry in a short period of time. I will definitely will go back. QED will soon be remodeled. read more

Saw the owners kicking out a young kid who was bothering no one and simply wanting a safe place to stay to be quietly on his phone. He was autistic and said the cameras made him more comfortable and safe there. they called the police on him, treating him like a criminal. I heard him say he does his laundry there when he can and that he doesn't want to be hanging out at the local park with all the drugs on the street and that the kids his age are just wanting to party and that he just wanted to be left alone and allowed to use his phone someplace safe and dry. The two brothers who own this laundry should be ashamed. When a little old lady stood up to defend the young man for minding his own business and not bothering anyone one of the owners told her she was banned from using the laundry forever and was not welcome to return or she would be arrested for trespassing. Shame on you QED laundromat. Learn some decency and stop pretending to care about our community. Treating folks like that just isn't right. Especially an obviously disabled minor and an elderly woman who had no relation to him. I don't think it was a good use of our taxpayers money calling the police on someone like that. And if they act like that to a disabled youth and an elderly woman then they are doing much more harm at other times. Also, many of the dryers don't work right. Half of them won't dry properly and when it's brought to the attention of the owners they never seems to do anything to correct it. Letting LoveOne use the facility to do free laundry twice a month (as a tax write-off) doesn't make up for the rest of the horrible wrongs they commit and the way they talk to others. I love coming to this laundromat when i have more than my usual small load and lots of towels, sheets. The equipment is great, Electrolux washers are my fav. It's always clean, plenty of nice seating and tables for work or a snack while waiting. The one time i had trouble with a dryer I texted the number that is posted clearly for issues or concerns. Shortly after, I received a text back saying he would give me a refund on my credit card! Nice! What is not clear is the hours, which is why i am posting the hours notice at the front. It is 24 hrs but you have to sign up and get entry code. Can you imagine a place open 24 hours? Would be full of overnight sleepers, vandalism. So this is next best thing. read more

Even after repeated requests to address the issue after my vehicle was damaged nothing was resolved. I ended up with thousands of dollars lost to repair, time that will never be timed again and energy wasted all because I followed rules and procedures for the facility and got retaliation for it. read more

The only reason for the 1 star is because I too, just like a different reviewer (that I didn't notice until posting this, which is my fault) drove a ways out to this location for 24 hour laundry. It's actually one of the earliest to close in the region: 8pm weekdays. 7pm weekends. I did send in a report to Apple Maps with the updated info and they do tend to fix stuff within less than a month so I'm sure it won't be an issue much longer, but honestly...if I was able to do this, and someone also posted about majorly wrong hours....it would be the same for the business owners to do if they actually cared about reviews and patrons when it comes to logistics. I'm not trying to be mean. Just straight forward and hopefully effective. I don't know anything about the business functions inside so couldn't make it a better review. read more

So here's a fun little tidbit that isn't mentioned ANYWHERE......this is NOT a 24hr facility to everyone. General public is allowed until 7pm and then you have to be a registered customer. Ok so become a registered customer, maybe I would if there was someone here like they promise in the description. I'm not an aficionado of laundromats but this is a very nice facility. You can get all your laundry done in about 1.5 hours or less. All machines take credit cards plus they have fluff and fold service and that is very nice as well. Oh yeah and plus it's open 24 hours, you just need to talk to them to get an access card or something and I believe it cost a one time fee for 9.75. We have had no problems with using our credit cards so not really sure what that previous review is all about. Even if we did it sounds like the owner would take steps to make it right. I will make the 10min drive to use this facility over our apartment complex washer and dryers. Only minor suggestion that I would give the credit card users a heads up, that if a hold is put on funds how much and when it will be released. Your doing laundry so I'm sure it's gonna be more than 5. The previous complaint about that was just silly, but could understand her frustration if you don't have a lot of money in account. I am in love with this business. I'm fortunate enough to have them pickup & drop off my laundry from my home. They do a great job. The attitudes of the staff there are positive & upbeat. Where Robert the owner found them, I don't know but I'm very very VERY happy. My clothes smell good and are folded the way I want them & I am very meticulous about that. Have been here three times on different occasions with months between my visits. Every time I have issues with the dryers. This time is no exception. Set dryers for 16mins. Came back with 6 mins left on my phone timer and the dryers were shut off and cloths still wet. Put more money in twice and still wet. Moved to another dryer hoping they will dry. Its a super clean New laundromat. All machines are new, big and very clean they take atm which is awesome ! and range from $2.50 , $5.25 and 9.00 with a 25¢ dry for 6 mins. They offer free liquid detergent (non fragrant) and free wifi. Its 7pm and I'm the only one here other than the attendant gal who is very helpful and friendly. I will come back again ! read more

This place is awesome. The machines can handle large loads, the dryers have adjustable heat, and it's all very affordable. The staff is pretty cool too. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. Today I broke the cap off my laundry detergent and the staff was able to replace my cap with one of their empties after watching me try to MacGyver one out of a plastic bag and a rubber band in futility. Awesome Place. I had never been to a laundromat before but the washer at home was not cooperating. So, yelped the closest laundromat and voila. Alright, I was definitely lost when I walked in. But, the staff was super helpful and showed me how to do the whole thing. What surprised me was free wifi and free detergent (good quality non-fragrant kind). This is one of the cleanest laundry facilities in the area, and one of the only places I'm comfortable doing my laundry! They have a great laundry service as well. Being a busy mom, it's so convenient to just drop your laundry off and pick it up later. The prices are fair and they've been able to get the craziest stains out of our clothes. Their detergents are hypoallergenic which is great for my baby's sensitive skin. Committed customer and a happy one! :) read more

Clean and well-lit, this place is a downright decent place to come do your laundry. The wifi is indeed free, but contrary to previous review, the soap is no longer free (although you can purchase a one-load amount for $1). Dorothy, the manager, was there vacuuming the entrance carpet and opened the door for me when she saw me hefting my bag of laundry up the sidewalk. Overall, recommended. read more

I like this laundromat. However when I used my card to purchase a 2.75 wash it charged my card $5. That's fraud and not what I swiped for. I'm lowering my 5 stars to 3 because fraud is never ok. Location is still good after a year or two being in service. Shame on you qed laundry. read more

As far as laundromats go... this one is awesome. I mean no one likes to do laundry but when you have to- might as well be comfy. The store and the machines are very clean. The machines are well maintained and do their job. They have options to pay with credit/debit card which is nice. I've only been once but it says you can get 24 hour access which would be nice for work schedules. They have free wifi, a cute deli next door (beer or glass of wine between loads... sure!). I have been to the ECO laundry on Belmont. It's great! However, I happened to be in the area today, and needed to do laundry. Of course I chose this place! The machines are just like the ones on Belmont; the place is clean, etc. The thing that will keep me from coming to this site again is because there is NO BATHROOM for customers! Update: Another visit to QED; a different attendant directed me to the restroom down the back hall. So, there is an available restroom. I have no idea why the former attendant told me there was none. read more

I am thankful to have a washer and dryer at home, but regularly come here when I need to launder my comforters, duvet covers, etc. The facility is clean, the machines are wiped down between customers, and the floor is clean, the counters spotless. They have free wifi while you wait. There are plenty of wheeled baskets to move your laundry from washer to dryer or to hold laundry while you fold. The people who work here are very friendly, you get excellent customer service. I live about 8 miles away from this location, but wouldn't go anywhere else. This place is the best! read more

QED is the BEST laundromat I've ever used. It is spotlessly clean, they have very nice, plentiful new machines that actually take credit cards. How nice not to worry about having 5 pounds of quarters with you! It's a little spendy but I'm not sure how their prices compare with other laundromats. When I need a laundromat for bedding and large items, this is the only place I'll go. I stumbled on this laundromat by accident about 8 months ago, it is by far the nicest laundromat I have ever been to. It is clean with complimentary soap, open 24 hours with a security card you sign up for. The attendants are very helpful if you have a question or need help. They've have free WiFi and the machines all take credit cards so you don't have to bring in a bag of quarters (very convenient). The only downside to it is the fact that if you don't have the security card the doors lock around 9pm but the attendant leaves earlier, so if you go outside you will get locked out, so that's a bummer if you are alone and no one to let you back in. I go in when the pregnant attendant is working or the new lady, they are the more friendlier attendants, the one with dark hair always seems to be in a bad mood and negative towards the customers. Other than that, I will be doing my laundry here for a very long time. read more

I've had a bag of experiences here since I've started going here. Unfortunately, the clientele of this place is a deal breaker. No matter what time of day I go in there's always some odd level of undesirable, always different, making me drastically uncomfortable. The machines are nice, if you can find one. The place is tiny and has about ten washers, and half of those are large. If you come in on a monday morning, the facility will be doing the laundry service for payment and there wont be any machines. That being said, it's clean and the machines are nice. The last time I went it was the last straw though. Dogs are apparently allowed inside this facility? Not just one, either. I'm not really a dog person. Their hair is a disaster to get rid of and they aren't clean animals. Not what I want with my clean clothes though otherwise they're perfectly fine. Overall, if you need a place in a hurry it's a great joint. If you have to go there regularly, I'd start feeling unsettled. read more
