Truly a hidden gem in the West Valley. We attended the Smoke on the Water (BBQ, Beer, and Bourbon) event, and had so much fun! The event was well attended, with great local country bands, a kids zone, full bar, a cigar area (separated from the crowds) and tons of food. Bathrooms were plentiful and very clean. We camped on the shore of the lake, which was beautiful (especially at sunset). Camping is all dry camping, and spots were mostly packed gravel (though they are adding firepits and site grass areas soon). The view from our RV was awesome! As a bonus there was also boat races that weekend, which were fun to watch. The costs were reasonable. There are two wedding venues we saw (one had a wedding going) with lake views - very nice. What stood out most was how clean and well kept the entire place was. The staff was 100% customer service oriented and very hard working. They all were courteous, helpful, and fun. Nick was especially great and full of information for us first timers. This was our first time, not our last! read more

This is a cool spot. I would definitely recommend going to an event here. We went to Smoke on the Water where they had bands, food trucks and vendors. There was a BBQ competition that we had tickets for that but never got BBQ (as they ran out) Parking was a bit spendy, $15.00 per car. The bathrooms are awesome as crazy as this sounds. It wasn't a porta potty which I was for grateful for. It was clean, it was full of TP, hand soap and towels. For as many people who used it, I was happy Cool little spot in the middle of nowhere. I believe you can rent some water toys as well. read more

If you haven't been to HIDDEN LAKE you are missing out. Great entertainment, food trucks, great outdoor seating, dance floor, bar and vendors. It is a great place to just relax and chill out. And it is dog friendly, which is great for us!!!!!! Not to mention the most beautiful sunsets over the lake, and then the MOON. Fantastic. Can't wait to go back. Hidden Lakes??? You mean old ready mix mining operation. First let's start with the way over priced fees. To park, to enter, and then of course for anything else. Walk around the property. See the area where concrete slopes into lake! That's were the mixer washout was. Now yes that may have been years ago but it makes you wonder how that lake appeared. The venues are ok sometimes. Been out there twice and won't be back. This was a hidden gem in buckeye that locals would have tailgate parties at. Without a fee! Lol. Then a family from Cali bought the land and charged rip off prices ( according to buckeye) Save a trip and your money. Go to a local REAL lake, pack a cooler and enjoy. If you do go DONT eat the fish! read more

Awesome place to hang with friends and family. We did fish for a little bit but mostly just hung out, met new people, had drinks at the bar and let our kids run free. This would be a great place for a private event. Staff was friendly and the bathrooms were nice and clean. read more

Visited for their Kidzona event. I paid $88 for a family 4 pack. It was $23 per adult. It was nice. They did have some vendors there. There were kids games that were for free and the kids won a small prize. They had jumpers for free. There were about 5 food trucks there as well. For $1 the kids were able to visit a small petting zoo. I felt the adult tickets to get in were a bit pricy for the event however. Maybe eat before visiting this type of event, especially for families. read more

Absolutely great venue! It's very beautiful and fun for the whole family. They have fishing, boating, camping, bbq area and a bar. That have Sunday fun day w bottomless mimosas and lots more events. I can't begin to say how amazing this location is. the wedding I just attended was so beautiful and perfect. From the set up to the entertainment, it was amazing. If I could get married again, I would definitely use this location. They do weddings, proms, and evening music events as well as farmer's markets. Place is worth checking out for your next event. I don't usually write reviews because I don't generally see the point. However, the Medieval Fair was extremely lack luster. We were ridiculously excited for this because we hoped that there would be some semblance of safety with the whole pandemic stuff going on. There was scarce mask wearing, no social distancing whatsoever and really nothing "free" to do given you pay to enter. You paid for a ticket...to pay for things and food. Nothing else. Truthfully, it was a glorified, themed flea market. Prices are ridiculous and we left after only 40 minutes. Sorry to be so negative, but this was really disappointing for my whole family. read more

We were going for an outdoorsy, open and beautiful view for our wedding day. Hidden Lake did not disappoint! it was gorgeous and the staff was incredible from day 1! We worked closely with both Jennifer and Sara - both were friendly, professional and so accommodating! Sara was a blessing on the day of our wedding as she took care of everything! I showed her my vision and she made it happen! I was not approached once on my day to problem solve anything and she handled every little thing! If you want a gorgeous view, a beautiful sunset, endless possibilities for your wedding feel and an amazing staff to handle all the day of details, Hidden Lake is the only way to go! Hidden lake is a nice hidden gem out in Buckeye. I'd like to see more selection of Bands come out here. It is always the same bands playing when there's soooo many local bands that could play out here. There's so much potential for a great outdoor music venue. read more

This place is nice because it's closer then most of the lakes if you live in the Goodyear or Buckeye area. It makes for a fun day kayaking with the family. It's a bit pricey for admission in my opinion for a old gravel pit. The lake is supposed to be stocked with trophy bass but the first time we went fishing came out empty handed. Went a second and third time and same thing unlike all the other lakes around. Took the bass boat out with the fish finders and still nothing. It would be an awesome place if they would just stock it on a regular basis opened at an earlier time and hosted Bass tournaments. read more

Apparently it's $10 per person now and not $10 per car. So we paid only to have a day filled with employees screaming at paying customers from the bar because they were to lazy to set the obstacle course up properly (which you have to pay extra for). Wanna be cowboy was screaming at a bunch of 10 year olds to get them to flip some platform over for 3 or 4 minutes straight before he took his lazy butt out to fix the problem. Also had an issue where we were forced to move from our spot after 2 hours because apparently that table was reserved - which would be fine if they actually marked the table because then we had to go sit in the Sun since all the all the other shaded spots where gone No food truck this time and the nicer restroom trailer was locked. - So I'm total I paid 4x more than last month only to get a quarter of the amenities. Bottom line: Go elsewhere - almost anything else is a better bargain read more

Kind of a cool, hidden spot. They had clean bathrooms, we were greeted right away and the check in process was so easy. We opted to set up elsewhere on the other side to do some fishing, we caught a few tiny things, nothing big. The only things I would negatively comment on, was there were not enough adult sized life vests for everyone, so I would have brought my own, if you go early, you dont have a problem, towards the afternoon & early evening time, there were no more larger sized adult vests for all of the people. Also, I do know they are constantly improving and building, but it was kind of hard to find shade on other parts of the park (bring a canopy and remember the weights in case of wind). Otherwise, if you chose to be up at the tables and the areas they have set up, you should not have a problem. The inflatable area they have set up was fun for the kids. read more

Native here! Born and raised! How did I not know this lake was here? Totally Worth the drive from north Phoenix. Went to watch my best friends husband's band play at the venue on the lake. Plenty of parking, rv parking right up to the lake! Very clean, beautiful sunsets, lots of great action and fun going on, Definitely bringing the dog and kids for some fun next time! read more

Went for an open fishing day and I was highly disappointed. After driving for about an hour from North Phoenix we arrived at 8am to find the entrance gates were closed. We waited for 30 minutes then decided to call Hidden Lake's "customer service" line. After an additional 25 minutes someone responded with a text saying they would not be open till 11am because someone called out sick. I understand that happens with a small business so we decided to get breakfast and come back. When an employee finally arrived, at 10:30 am, he seemed irritated that we were waiting to be let in. He cut me off in the middle of a question, didn't offer to rent us kayaks (which my sons wanted to use) and was unapologetic. They have a parking fee of $10 on top of the fishing fee. The water was the color of tea and the banks were soggy. We didn't get a single nibble despite switching bait/lures several times. I guess that what we get for putting our lines in the water at 10:30am. read more
