The food was delicious and the service was great. The ribs were meaty and smoked beautifully.

We always get a bag of rib tips. A big bag is like $7 and we can eat on it for days. Their sauce is amazing!

Wally B’s Seafood & Steakhouse - Alligator bites with fried okra and onion rings. Also served with two hush puppies.

SERVICE: We were greeted right as we entered by Bev who made us feel like we'd known each other our whole lives. She walked us through the menu, gave us suggestions, brought us ice cold beers within 90 seconds of ordering & was just an absolute gem of a hospitality professional. She had great table side banter & once we hit the food coma she got us our check quickly so we could go back to the park & pass out. THE FOOD: We ordered way too much & Bev warned us but we ate Wally B's leftovers cold for 2 days & if that doesn't tell you everything you need to know...everything from the alligator to the St Louis style ribs were DELICIOUS. The ambiance was better before the renovation & I heard that Bev passed away. We'll be back but "Wally B's" before the facelift will always be our favorite culinary memory of Missouri.

Do not let that fool you this place would've bus anywhere the food is so good. The seafood is really the highlight. I can honestly say I've never had anything at Wally's that wasn't delicious. I typically try something new each time, and have never regretted it. Service is slow sometimes, not because of the wait staff but because everything is cooked to order and they will run behind. Despite this, this is a favorite when I'm in the area. Wally's deserves a chance if you are in the area.

McAdoo's - The Rib-eye Dinner

Miss Barbara is a most delightful hostess and owner. Looking for local color? This is the place. The entrance does not face the road so you will have to look for the building that looks like a body shop, but the spacious interior has a big bar and plenty of seating with several pool tables. Clearly this is a neighborhood hangout.

I have, over the years, wanted to go and check the place out, but a combination of not being able to find it and not having enough time has always kept me from a visit. During my last visit to Blytheville, a business colleague and I decided to check this infamous establishment out and have a business dinner, beers, and rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is located in central Blytheville, across from the fire station, and it is in a simple metal shack, which can make it hard to find. There are no signs on the building, just the name written on the entrance door. Inside, you find a fully functioning bar with pool tables and plenty of tables to sit at. Mcadoo's has an old-school vibe as the inside is lit up by old-school red lights. Like bars of old, you can smoke inside; keep this in mind if you are a non-smoker or have allergies to smoke. Mcadoo's has a fully stocked bar, but it's mostly known for its rib-eye steaks. Our server came to our table and informed us that they had no apps and that our only options were rib-eye with salad, baked potato, and toast, or rib-eye with toast, as nothing else was available on the menu. The rib-eyes took about twenty minutes to arrive, and they were massive and cooked to perfection. The salad and the baked potato were fresh and okay, but the focus was on the steak. The steaks were juicy and tender, and they were also very affordable. The allure of Mcadoo's is the experience, the full bar and the affordable rib-eyes. It is also a favourite place for locals to hang out. Overall, a good experience and a great rib-eye dinner.

Lots of great favorites including meatloaf, hamburger steak, wings, fried chicken gizzards and livers, homemade desserts, including cobblers and banana pudding, etc, etc, with all the homemade sides and vegetables that you can imagine. And then there are the "throwed rolls." Hot with butter, honey, gravy, sorghum molasses, and more. Great service and down home country ambiance to spare. The staff were friendly as usual and our server was really good and the place is clean as usual! The salmon patties were really good, I'd order them again. The food, overall, seems to be not well mixed with salt. My husband's chicken and dumplings had an inedible layer of just pure salt. He mixed everything up and it was better but the shock of a mouthful of salt lingered for the rest of the meal. The fried potatoes pass around had the same issue. This is still very much so a tourist destination and a once in a blue moon trip for us when we find ourselves in the area. The allure of the "throwed rolls" and pass arounds is enough to keep this place an option for us, especially since we're learning what not to order.
