Order at the counter and fix your iwn drinks. Sit at any ioen table or booth. My wife & I split the 'Three-Meat Combo Plate;' with Briscuit, Ribs, and Turkey. It came with 2 sides, so we chose Potato Salad & Fried Okra - then added a Baked Potato for a few more $. With tea, our total was under $30 and we took a bit of meat home to our dog! The Ribs & Briscuit were excellent (super flavor even without the sauce), and my wife enjoyed the Turkey. Fried Okra was heavily breaded but dry and crispy! . Potato Salad was yellow (mustard - not mayo) just like we prefer! I piled beef inside and ate the entire Baked Potato - skin and all! Yumm! The Sweet Tea was cold & fresh; it tasted like fresh air on a warm summer day! Friendly staff diligently cleaned tables for the next wave. Well done, Dexter!

Turkey dry. Ribs dry. Both house sauces are not good. Service was the only thing positive.

Great tasting bbq on Texas toast. The slaw was crisp and creamy and complemented the sandwich.

Road tripping from St. Louis to Memphis and Sikeston is about the halfway point so we stopped for…read morelunch here. Figured a place close to both BBQ cities would have good BBQ and we were definitely right with Bo's! You order at the counter. They have a overhead board menu with half breakfast menu and half BBQ and both sides are served all day. My sister-in-law ordered the chicken breast plate with green beans and potato salad. Chicken was decent, potato salad quite good, but the green beans were bland. My husband ordered the pork steak initially but they were sold out so he switched to the ribeye steak. The steak was fantastic and actually prepared to medium rare. The side of mashed potatoes and gravy were basic and out of the box, but the quality of the steak more than made up for that. I ordered the smoked chicken drummy plate with german fries and baked beans. The smoked chicken was hands down the best smoked chicken I have had in my life! Smoked all the way through with great seasoning rub. I could have eaten it all day long. The baked beans also on point, a good sweet with a touch of heat flavor. The german fries were essentially home made potato chips, I would skip those next time.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, food was served perfectly and the dining area had plenty of seating. You order at the counter, pour your own coffee from the coffee station and seat yourself. Food is brought promptly and served warm! Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon had an amazing crisp to it and the biscuits were soft! A lovely gentleman walked around refilling coffee at the perfect time as well.

I can't believe it's…read moretaken me so long to get to this destination restaurant that's famous for its tossed rolls that are thrown to the patrons when brought out by waitstaff to feed the diners. They sure do feed you well too. The dishes they serve are hardy southern food and very filling. They will also bring out more items to feed you as you dine as well and you won't leave hungry. I thought the side dishes stole the show for me especially the rolls, fried okra and black eyed peas were some of the best I've ever had. Now I'll want to go back whenever I'm passing through that part of southeast Missouri. It's a really cool looking restaurant inside and out with lots of memorabilia on the walls especially all the license plate plates. I had the chicken fried steak that came with mashed potatoes right on top and white gravy and it was savory and very good. For the two sides with my main dish I ordered green beans and white beans. It was a heavy meal, but I managed to put away almost all of it along with scoops of extra okra, fried potatoes, tomatoes and pasta in a side dish, and black eyed peas. I could only manage to eat two of the famous big rolls and had one with a helping of sorghum syrup they put on it which I rarely ever see anymore. I grew up on this very kind of food with my southern parents cooking so this place really hit the spot and I felt nostalgic to me.
