When we questioned this, the server casually mentioned the cinnamon syrup--something not disclosed on the menu. I had to specifically ask her to take one back rather than her responding promptly. Next, they brought our sushi rolls, but no plates, no soy sauce, and not even dishes for dipping. We had to ask for all those basics. I specifically chose two rolls without cream cheese--because I don't want cream cheese in my sushi--and yet one still had it. The server's response was to chat with a manager but not to offer any solution, compensation, or correction. Overall, if a menu lists certain ingredients, that's what should arrive. Adding things like cinnamon in a drink or cream cheese in a roll--especially when people might have dietary needs--is careless. They need to be more attentive to both the menu and the customer's feedback.

This includes both sushi and others. Our server was frindly and helpful. He couldn't have been better. The menu is awesome; especially when the evening menu is available. It offers a better selection of better, for my taste, sushi. In addition, it is one of few AYCE sushi restaurants that includes sashimi. I should mention that I wasn't as impressed with the sashimi as I was with the sushi. The fish was delicious but it was sliced way too thin. Having said that, I wish I could have given them more than five stars. They stand in the top 0.1% of AYCE sushi restaurants.

Ordering was limited per round, which made it difficult for a larger group. The server actually stopped us mid-order, and my husband and I didn't even get to place our orders until the next round. At one point, my husband stepped away to tend to our baby, and when it was time for the final round, we asked if they could wait for him to return. We were sat, and waited 12 min for drinks while we were assaulted by cigarette smoke coming from the back. Apparently, some of the staff were smoking with the back door open. We almost left, and I wish we would have. The waitress didn't want to be there. It was almost like we were bothering her by being there. I ordered the Mongolian chicken lunch. What I received was the Mongolian beef. I didn't want to wait on them to fix the right entree, so I ate it. It was okay. I ordered water with lemon and I guess they were out of lemons.... We were watching them take forks out of the dishwasher and place them into a pitcher of clear liquid. Not sure what that was about. My wife got the chicken lomein and the chicken was soggy and greasy, she only had a few bites. Brought it home, and my 17yo son wouldn't even eat it. I really liked this place when it opened. Now it is struggling. I will not be back for a while. Only acceptable Asian in that area is Oishi Raman IMHO. I hope Forney gets some decent places with the new Gateway additions.
