Had the Ahi Tuna Tower, Dynamite and Rainbow Dragon along with soup and salad. All the rolls are very good and of good size. We were stuffed but very pleased when we left. I ordered two hibachi fried rice sides from this restaurant online. The description on their…read morewebsite says the rice includes egg ("egg only"), and I also requested extra eggs. When I got home, there were no eggs at all in either order, not even the standard amount that's supposed to come with it. I even took photos, and you can clearly see there are no eggs in the rice. I called the next day to explain the issue. Instead of trying to understand or resolve it, the person I spoke with kept arguing with me and focusing on the extra eggs and saying they couldn't add those because I hadn't paid for them online, which is fine. Some places just adjust the amount but they clearly don't. That's not the main issue though. I clarified multiple times that even without the extra eggs, the dish is still supposed to include egg by default and mine DID NOT. He insisted that the chefs made it with eggs and said he believed them over me, which was frustrating as a customer. I was basically told to bring the rice back from the night before and they would remake it. Overall, very disappointing experience. The food was incorrect, and the customer service made it worse.

I love hibachi, but I'm particular about it. My favorite place in Arlington suddenly closed a while…read moreback, and I've been trying to replace it ever since. So many places miss the mark for me, too sweet, too saucy, soggy vegetables, bland fried rice, or disappointing meat. After reading the reviews for Mr. Hibachi, I finally tried it, and I'm so glad I did! Even the soup and salad deserve some attention, and those usually aren't the parts I get excited about. The soup had a rich, slightly smoky onion flavor with just the right amount of salt. It reminded me of the soup I remember from hibachi restaurants years ago. The salad had crisp lettuce, and the dressing had a fresh peanut flavor with a hint of spice. Both were delicious. I ordered the filet and chicken combo, which also came with two appetizer shrimp, fried rice, noodles, and vegetables. The filet was very tender and flavorful, and the shrimp were seasoned beautifully as you could actually see the pepper on them. The chicken had good flavor, too, although it was a little dry and more cooked than I prefer. That was really my only disappointment. The fried rice was exactly what I had been looking for: properly seasoned, with onion, egg, and that classic hibachi flavor. I usually skip the noodles at other places and get extra rice, but I'm glad I tried these because they were really good! The vegetables tasted grilled and weren't swimming in sweet sauce or soggy. That makes such a difference to me. I was initially unsure about the yum yum sauce because it looked like it might be bottled, but whatever they use, it tasted exactly how I expected and paired perfectly with the seasoned meat. This comes extremely close to replacing my old favorite, and in some ways, I liked it even better. My previous spot was an express-style restaurant that didn't include soup and salad, so this felt like a complete hibachi meal. It costs a little more, but with those extras, the quality of the food, and enough left over for another meal, I felt it was worth it. I'm so excited to have finally found hibachi I really enjoy again. I can definitely see myself getting hooked on this place!

I'd give them a 3.5 if I could…read more Hibachi is hibachi and Mr. Hibachi is fairly decent compared to other places. Their portions are really generous and everything was seasoned really well. The noodles were everyone's fave! They fail with the details though. For example, the sugar and sweeteners for tea at our table was very low (like one packet of sugar for the whole table) and all of the condiment holders had obviously not been cleaned from the lunch service. We came at open so that means no one checked to make sure that all items were ready for customers prior to open. Also there was some type of ventilation issue. The smoke from the hibachi lingered and there air in the restaurant was kind of "stale". We also had to ask for little things that should have been standard (ice with our drinks, napkins, etc) and waited a long time to close put out ticket. I think it just depends on the server and chef that you get. The table across from us had great service with no issues from the looks of it. Not sure if I'd call this the best hibachi in DFW. It's a step up from Benihana in terms of quality but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it out.

The restaurant is always well-kept and clean, and I really appreciate that the music isn't overly loud, so you can actually enjoy your meal and conversation. The hibachi experience is always fun! You get a salad and soup before watching them cook your meal right in front of you. Whether you order steak, chicken, salmon, or another option, the chefs keep you entertained and engaged throughout the cooking. It's especially fun when you're celebrating a birthday--they'll sing for you and make it feel special! One thing to keep in mind is that it can sometimes take a while to get seated on the hibachi side, especially on weekends. At times, they also wait to fill the tables before getting started, so be prepared for a little wait during busy hours. Overall, though, we really enjoy coming here. The food, atmosphere, entertainment, and experience make it one of our favorite hibachi spots, and I think the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Definitely a place we'll continue coming back to!

Hesitantly we decided to eat before we stopped off at Lowe's and headed back to finish. Stay with me here. We were a little dirty. Not filthy. Not like we had mud all over us but dressed in work out clothes. Super casual. We entered and asked for a booth, The hostess took us to the back end of the booth where there were tables filled with other patrons. I wanted a bit more privacy and asked her to sit one booth back. She said no. Not to be deterred I sit down at the booth we wanted and felt most Comfortable. We wanted some privacy and not have people all around us. The request was to literally sit one booth back...this hostess wasn't having it. She literally demanded we sit at her booth of choice. Today, it became a "I'm not moving". She "slams" the menus and walks off. That behavior had to be addressed. I'm a reasonable person but expect a certain level of customer service. After all the price of eating out....isn't cheap these days and We eat here all the time. In fact, I became the DUKE again when checking in today.... #1 patron! I take great pride in the title. I discussed my frustration with the manager. When I asked to speak with her the hostess pointed to a manager sitting at the table vs going and getting her. Rude was an understatement. The manager didn't seem overly concerned. All said, the food was wonderful. The Tuna Tower (we ask for no rice) needed more avocado. The Pan Seared dumplings Devine as usual and of course the crab Rangoon are other worldly. The spicy bad girl roll was tasty. We added cream cheese. My sister gets her usual....every time. Hibachi Filet mignon, fried rice and Ginger Salad. It's her absolute favorite and she enjoyed every bite. I don't think one person should drive the overall review but today's experience was stressful...The food 5 Stars. Consistent. That said the hostess has influence and today's 1 star review is for her an her alone. We also ran into Lencho. Lencho is the absolute best waiter. Sundays though he works on the hibachi grill side. Bummer. His smile would have turned the experience around. He's that good and we love him. This is the second time where We've not experience the best customer service. Kyushu ownership should take note.....Some southern hospitality goes a long way. Look no further than to Lencho!

Seems that is done frequently, especially if appetizer or sushi rolls are added on from waiting time or startup at the table. Flavors: several sauces are provided as cooking and as dipping sauce, one garlic tamari(?), and a light ginger dip sauce. There are 2-4 flare up sessions on the grill as start of next portion starts to cook. This removes some of the moisture, gives a surface flavor and texture, as well as burns off the alcohol (brandy?) leaving a bit of caramelized flavor as retained on the grill that is cleared between courses. Thus a flare of fire, and a poof of steam. Though I did appreciate that they use the pieces of krab instead of a krab salad mix. It was fine but nothing to write home about. The nigiri was a bummer. The texture was kind of chewy, like it had been frozen too long. Not that it was bad, it smelled and tasted fine, but I would rate this on par with grocery store quality. The salad was cold and crunchy but pretty flavorless and was half full of liquid on the bottom. The waitress asked me if I wanted anything else while I was still eating and brought the check.
