I really enjoyed how clean and vibrant the inside and outside is. I love that it has a market inside where I can buy fresh seafood. I enjoyed every bite of my food. I enjoyed the flavor of the Fillet fish and the salad was very fresh. It's a bun. I also enjoy that I can sit down and eat. I would give this place 10 out of 10.

Our most recent visit was for lunch on 4/11/2025, and it was excellent, just like the other visits. I had the fish special: two pieces of cod, fries, and a couple of hush puppies. There are plenty of places where you can get catfish, but not many that serve good cod filets. My fish was delicious. It was hot, crispy, and the two good-sized pieces were all I needed for lunch, especially with fries. Parking can be challenging, so keep that in mind. Other than that, if I am looking for fried fish and chips, Zeke's is the top of my list.

I was once a regular customer and have visited this restaurant many times in the past. Every now and then, I'll give it another try to see if things have improved, but unfortunately, today's experience was much like my previous ones. The food was disappointing as well. The meat was very bland, and some of my favorite items from previous visits were not available. I understand that restaurants can change their menus or run out of certain items, but combined with the lack of flavor, it made the overall meal less enjoyable. What was even more disappointing, however, was the customer service. The woman who appeared to be part of the ownership was once again rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've had this type of interaction with her. I really wanted to be able to say that things had improved, but based on today's visit, I don't feel comfortable recommending this restaurant or returning anytime soon. Good food and welcoming customer service both matter, and unfortunately, neither met my expectations today.

I have loved everything I've gotten from them but the fried pork chops are my favorite. I've never gotten a good picture because I only remember after inhaling the food. On Sunday they have Soulfood Sunday plates which come with an entree, 2 sides, a roll or cornbread and a drink. Like I said the fried pork chop is my favorite but my husband has also loved their hamburger and gravy and meatloaf. I also have tried their baked chicken and fried wings and they were all tasty. The sides...all of them are SO GOOD. You know the saying "they put their foot in it"? Well, they put their foot in it. All of it. Each of their sides are packed with flavor (from the meat, so be warned it is not vegetarian!), their collard greens are my favorite but only because they literally have the best greens I've found here in Texas. But, everything else is delicious! We have tried the collards, the southern fried corn, baked beans, sweet potato, Mac and cheese. Everything was a hit. Friendly staff and you can tell they just take pride in their business. It shows in every aspect.
