This Hibachi House deserves no stars at all. If there were an option for zero stars, I would choose that. I placed a DoorDash order on June 3rd at approximately 11:30 PM from their new location at 8327 Gardendale St. in Downey, CA, specifically ordering the Filet Mignon Plate. I received a tray containing a small amount of dry beef, hard and dry white rice (I know my rice, especially as someone from an Asian background), and no vegetables. For $30, this was an unacceptable meal that wasn't fresh, and they didn't bother to call me to let me know if they had run out of vegetables. As a loyal DoorDash member, I received a full refund after raising my complaint. This was only my second order this year, and I can confidently say it will be my last. I attempted to contact the number listed on DoorDash for this food truck, but all my calls went to voicemail. If you are the owner, I urge you to contact me directly to understand how you operate your business. I will not trust or recommend this establishment to anyone--this is not a serious hibachi experience.

They're good WHEN you can get an order through to them. It's especially hard to get an order through them with DoorDash. This is the second time they have canceled an order on me, sent 3 drivers to pick up & no communication from the store itself. I called once and the guy spoke Spanish (which is no problem) but he didn't comprehend what I was trying to communicate with him. They HAVE to do better as a restaurant. I won't be ordering their food anymore.

VEGGIE UDON NOODLES

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I know hibachi spots tend to be pricey, but at least make it worth it. We ordered three plates and one side of noodles, the total came out to around $110 with tax. If I'm paying anything over $70, I expect a decent meal. The steak was HORRIBLY cooked, I asked for well done, but it came out tasting like rubber. The shrimp was overcooked, and the chicken was semi decent. The noodles, though, were the worst part. They tasted like a mix between Play-Doh and paint, absolutely no flavor. It seemed like they were just tossed in oil with nothing else. Fair warning to anyone thinking about trying this spot, skip the noodles. We decided to give this place a shot because my mom saw their truck on TikTok. To be fair, the service was good, the lady who took our order was patient and gave helpful suggestions. The food took about 30-40 minutes, which is understandable since there were a lot of people waiting. But overall, I was completely unsatisfied and won't be returning. My fault for trusting TikTok reviews, but this was definitely not worth it.

Ordered medium rare got super well done was extremely dry. Placed a phone order worker said it would take 10 minutes to be ready, i arrived after 20. Order was not done. She then said it'd be another 10 minutes. Guess she forgot to give the order to the cook.

Took a chance on this one, their reviews were a little low and after eating there I honestly don't know why?! Their food was really tasty and seasoned perfectly. I would've given the 5 stars except for the meat, although the flavor was definitely there, it was pretty fatty (especially for a New York) and many bites were very gristly. This would NOT keep me from coming back though, the meat was good and the flavor was there just maybe a bad cut? I'd definitely try a filet or shrimp next time. The service was great, quick and very friendly! Will definitely be going back!

This is after some damage.

This place is my go to hibachi spot around cpt Lynwood area. Chicken and shrimp combo was bomb. The shrimp was soft and good consistency and the fried rice is a lil greasy but I mean it's hibachi it's not meant to be healthy I guess. Overall very good taste with good veggies too!

First time at Mariscos El Güicho and it did not disappoint…read more I ordered the Botana Sirenita with the salsa negra and a shrimp ceviche taco. The Sirenita was absolutely delicious and super bountiful, perfect for sharing but honestly I did not want to. The shrimp ceviche taco was crunchy and flavorful with a great balance of veggies and shrimp. I also loved that they did not skimp on the drink. It was generous and refreshing. My boyfriend got the aguachile verde and ceviche. He said the aguachile was definitely spicy but had amazing flavor. He also really enjoyed the ceviche. Everything tasted fresh and well made. We will definitely be back.

I tried the Botana Culichi which had cooked shrimp, raw shrimp, scallop, and octopus, under a bed of cucumber and red onion. It was drenched in a black sauce and grinded chiltepin, delicious! You can taste the fresh ingredients, the raw shrimp melts in your mouth and the cooked shrimp is cooked perfectly. The octopus is tender and the callo they use is definitely fresh scallop. And that black sauce is killer, so perfect! It has a little kick but not overwhelming. I was trying so hard to eat it slowly because I didn't want this taste to leave my pallet. Going to "try" to explore other items but it's going to be tough to top this one. This plate was $32 and very reasonable for the amount of seafood. Also, came with a packet Los Pericos tostadas.

This review is for the Paramount location. I got a few items: Dino rib, pork ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and corn bread. I'll start with the positives. The mac and cheese and corn bread were decent. Also they took 15 minutes to give me all the varied food I ordered which should have been my red flag to run, but I decided to live dangerously and was punished severely for it. Now on to the travesty, the meat. The theme for today was dry, old and shameless. The pork was somehow undercooked and dry. Which if you can endure the cruelty, is actually kind of impressive. The brisket resembled beef jerky. I'm including pictures of the brisket since those speak much more eloquently than I can. I love to cook and I infamously over season my dishes. But all these meats were at a whole another level. Not salty but aggressively peppery and just ham handed. The rub was flavorful but it blew out my palette instantly. Please take this to heart: less is more. In terms of meat quality? Cheap. My Dad is a butcher, I can tell. Everything being reheated did the meat quality no favors either. The seasoning was further exacerbated because the ribs, both dino and pork, were almost entirely bone. So you have a ton of seasoning on a lick of meat. It was a recipe for disaster. And price? Expensive, especially for what I received. Insulting for what I received. I'll end it here. I don't want to waste your time like this place wasted mine.

I usually get their chirashi (which they also have a lunch chirashi special), and the fish is always fresh and good quality. The also have lunch specials and often have other great specials. The last time I went, they had a "buy 2 rolls, get 1 free" deal, and they have Sapporo beer on draft for $1.99! If you have friends who don't like raw fish, they also have a good selection of cooked items - tempura, chicken teriyaki, udon noodles, etc. There's really something for everyone. They have a bunch of TVs and will usually have the game on if there is one. There's also a lot of street parking and free parking lots around since it's Downtown Bellflower. The specials and drinks were great at one point but its a little harder to try other things on the menu for their price points here. The same value here would get me about 30-50% more or so somewhere else, even Cerritos or Long Beach.
