    Tilapia. Not good.

I came here again today..... after many years....I can say one thing....I am glad I waited almost 3 years....because the experience was not stellar. At 1:30pm on a weekday, the place was not very busy..... I got some hibachi and it was decent. The hot bar food was hit or mis....the salmon and tilapia were so bad, I had to spit them out. They tasted like they were made from decayed meat...just horrible. The Japanese chicken and the chicken and broccoli were the best dishes. The sushi was not very tasty. I liked their char siu (boneless spare ribs) but they were too drenched in sweet sauce....too sweet. Overall an average to below average buffet in the area.

I tried a bunch of different items, every item was gross, undercooked, and old. I tried the noodles, the chicken tenders, the dumplings, the green beans were all pretty gross. The entire place looks old, rundown. I don't recommend.

This is every other Asian buffet you've ever been to since 1986, faux Asian decor, aqua walls and all. Absolutely standard fare, some of their sushi, namely their tuna seemed a bit tough, but nothing unsettling. If you're nearby it's just as bad or good as every other all you can eat place. The only particular praise I can give it, is that their ribs have an orange glaze to them which is a bit different than most places and enjoyable.

Another good find for some Hibachi and selection of different Japanese foods. Upon entering we weren't really acknowledged by the young man behind one of the counters but once the sweet female server came up we felt more welcomed. We were quickly sat and asked what we would like to drink. Buffet had a great variety we made it in around 3pm so our lunch buffet options were not bad at all...dinner started at 3:30pm for like a $4 up-charge but we were extremely stuffed to even want to try..you could get a wider selection of what seemed like more seafood variety...they would place little white tabs in-front of the dinner buffet items so you would not be confused if you were in for lunch..all the servers seemed very sweet..Hibachi station was kept clean but the cook was not friendly at all..he seemed very distracted and irritated although he did cook our hibachi very well. I didn't eat sushi today but there seemed to be a nice selection of choices. They did have some desserts and ice-cream. Our (2 of us)total bill for lunch with tip was $32 and we got 2 fortune cookies! I would go back and maybe around dinner to try the other stuff. Food had flavor and what I had tasted fresh rare to find in most hibachi buffets. Thumbs up to the ladies that serve and the cooks that work behind the scenes!!

This place is ok. The food overall looked decently fresh, for a buffet of course. I got take out but I observed the entire offerings of the buffet. Next time I may have to dive in on that Egg Foo Young because it looked really good for an AYCE place. They have sushi here but honestly I don't recommend the raw fish part of sushi offerings at buffets. The dessert bar looked decent and basically this is just a quick bite to eat buffet if you're just looking for cheap food to eat and you're not overly concerned with high-quality at the moment. For what it's worth the Sweet & Sour chicken was pretty good and the Shrimp w/ Lobster sauce looked like it wouldn't disappoint.

One of my many guilty pleasures is a good old Chinese buffet. Nothing makes me happier than finding a Chinese buffet that is not only tasty, but also clean. Sometimes it's a difficult task, but when you find it, keep it because it's definitely a gem. Hibachi Buffet in Deerfield could be there. It's close, but in some spots misses the mark. Okay, for I'm not even going to describe the place to you because it looks like every other Chinese joint out there, down to the animal zodiac placemat. I'm "year of the dog" if you're wondering. I had gone on a weekend after 3pm so you know in Chinese buffet language that means dinner, however, the dinner price was $7.99 so big score there. To me the major lacking point is the feeling of cleanliness. To be honest, it may be clean, but it gives the appearance of not being clean if that makes sense? Like when you go in you kind of think, "hm, is this wise?" but you still go in anyway because you are a gluten, and a gluten for punishment. The items on the buffet are of your typical Chinese buffet selection. They've got your rangoon, your ice cream, sweet and sour chicken, and it wouldn't be Hibachi buffet without, well, a hibachi grill! As per most buffets, not everything was hot. Mostly lukewarm items but still tasty, even if I wished there were a microwave nearby. Service was great. Constant refills of my tea and friendly staff. I'd go back for sure. Not my favorite. Been to MUCH worse. Okay in my book and hopefully okay in yours too.

The food is okay, the sushi is awful but my kid loved the ice cream and French fries. Easy inexpensive place to eat on a weeknight.

I got the Sesame Tofu, and it was a good-sized portion of nicely fried tofu and lots of perfectly cooked broccoli. My boyfriend got the Garlic Chicken combo dinner and he was pleasantly surprised with everything, even the wonton soup that came with his meal. The guy working there that day was not expecting us to want to dine in, since it seems like all of their customers order takeout or delivery, but he gladly gave us some disposable plates and plastic utensils after we got our food in takeout containers. He was very nice and seemed both appreciative and amused that I attempted to speak in Cantonese with him (I am very rusty). Again, since it's a takeout spot, there were only two small tables inside and no outdoor seating, but it was extremely clean inside and very bright, unlike most Chinese takeout spots. Would happily come back here and try other tofu dishes!

Here's the update. 2 combo dinners were $49. Mongolian Beef my wife enjoyed. My kung pao chicken was satisfactory but not special. Our two sides were egg rolls which are large and good. Florida thick skin egg rolls. In Chicago there is a thinner skin preferred by us - but wtf do we know using knives and forks for pizza. I digress. My hot n sour soup EXCELLENT. We opted for white rice with both orders. Order ready as promised in 15 minutes. Again - the parking is difficult and high curb along with tree roots make exiting my car a challenge. I recommend parking to the South of the building and getting some exercise with less risk of falling.

The staff was really nice, the restaurant was super clean, and the ingredients were fresh. I had the spicy Taiwanese soup base. My boyfriend had the Coconut Tom Yum. The conveyor belt was super fun because you could watch it as it went by and pick up whatever garnishes you wanted. Green onions, mushrooms, parsley, cilantro, cauliflower ... I could go on and on. This place offers a set price for Hot pot and is buffets style as well as conveyor belt delivery for veggies; you just swipe what you want. You start by picking a soup of choice and then you gather the food you need, cook it yourself in the pot and there are instructions and available on the wall for cooking times. It's relatively straightforward. Be careful with how much you grab as they will charge you for any excessive leftovers. I got the tom kha and my fiance got the tom yum. He found his soup to be a little on the lemony side for his taste but I think that's just a preference not a reflection of the quality of the soup. I loved my coconutty tom kha. Our waiter showed us how to operate the dial and gave us information about cooking time recommendation. We ordered some hot tea and had a wonderful time. The buffet appeared to be clean and the food fresh and well kept. I tried a variety of meat as well as seafood. The shrimp had a little bit of a previously frozen kind of taste but the scallops were excellent. I think in the end I'm not a big fan of the red meat even though it cooks quickly and tastes fine I just think preference wise I more so enjoyed loading up on the vegetables and noodles. The best thing I had there was the gyoza, so freaking good, highly recommend. It is worth noting that my fiance love the meat, so the great thing about this place is the variety and how multiple people can sit down and enjoy what they like, together. Drop by!
