Parking is limited since they're on the corner of the building and in a shopping center, so may have to walk across but no big deal. Restaurant was clean and the lady who helped me was very nice. We ordered Steak and Shrimp Hibachi, Shrimp Hibachi and Steak, Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi. Chicken skewers and a steak egg roll. You can customize what veggies you want online which was nice especially for my son. You get 2 white sauce packets and 1 ginger packet with each hibachi platter. If you like white sauce on the sweet side and more runny you'll enjoy this one. They come in actual packets which was new for me! Flavor overall all, everything was great. Steak wasn't overcooked, it was tender and seasoned. Shrimp wasn't overcooked and seasoned well even had some of those crispy bits on the side. The chicken was moist and not dry. Everything was seasoned. The rice was flavored from whatever sauce they put on the proteins. Veggies were good. The steak cheese egg roll was interesting, it was in a spring roll wrapper I think but it was good overall. I drove an hour away and the egg roll was still warm and crispy not soggy so that was nice. The chicken skewers were good, they were moist and seasoned. My husband said it was the best ones he's ever had. My son had noodles instead of rice and those were good. For the convenience, price and quality of food this place hit all the marks. I did see previous reviews that mentioned it wasn't the greatest but my experience was the complete opposite. Decent food quality - Good, but missing that extra flavor or pizzazz to really stand out. The Not-So-Good: No free water option - Only bottled water for sale. Skimpy on veggies - My rice and chicken came with exactly four broccoli florets. Four. Come on now. To-go style dining - Even though they have tables and booths, all orders come in takeout containers, making it feel like they expect most people to just grab and go. Overall, Hibachi88 is fine--decent food, reasonable prices, and a nice space. But a few small changes (like offering tap water and adding more veggies) could make it even better. Would I go back? I absolutely loved this place. I was in the mood for hibachi and looked up some spots, and this place came up. There is one in Durham, but I felt like driving out to Cary. It was in an easy to find area, and very nice. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the nicest woman ever. We had a great conversation about our love for NSYNC lol. I picked up my order, and ate it as soon as I got home. Cary is a good 15 to 20 minute drive from where I live, and the food was super hot still! The miso soup was average, but for just 2.28 I can't knock it much. The noodles had an excellent flavor. The zucchini was cooked all the way through, but retaining a slight crunch almost like a slightly meatier pickle. the quantity was large enough for just about anybody's hunger. It's not fancy but it is a good fast casual healthier option for this part of West Cary. This is the standard order at the counter & they cook to order. The only issue I had was that we had to repeat our order 3-4 times to the young girl behind the counter & she still had the order wrong. Entrees were all served in disposable to-go containers with plenty of white and ginger sauces. They all came with fried rice and sautéed veggies. Was so excited when I saw a hibachi place opening in Cary and this did not disappoint! The service was fast and the employees were very nice. We got our food pretty quick and decided to eat in the restaurant as it seemed nice inside. I got the hibachi steak (ask for extra teriyaki sauce on the side) and it came with veggies and fried rice. I also got the clear soup. All of these things tasted so good. The soup was hot and very flavorful. The steak and rice tasted great with the extra sauce and the veggies were perfect since they weren't doused in sauce like some other places. Will be recommending to neighbors!
