$69 to play this?!

AVOID THIS COURSE. Can't play the black tees unless you're better than scratch or able to tolerate constant harassment from Mike, the starter with an ego. If you aren't BETTER than scratch, you need to "play the white tees where you belong." At 6600 yards, it's a bit too short to be so elitist and yet have such terrible conditions. $69 for two executive courses is a joke. This isn't even the first bad experience--I gave them a second chance to give them the benefit of the doubt. Didn't even play the second hole before getting my hard earned money back. Pace of play is slow due to their ridiculous 8 minute tee times and enforcement that's more focused on so-called etiquette than function. Even went here with a bogey golfer, and he would've shredded the black tees if the course weren't so terrible that it's unbearable for anyone good at the game. The greens and practice green have dirt patches over nearly half the surface. $22 for walking at twilight is a scam with this bad of customer service--no way to get your money's worth here. It's apparently fine if you duff your tee shot, take two mulligans, then take 5 minutes to get halfway to the green with a cart. Because that's etiquette at this course.

My ball in the ground

If there were zero starts I would do that. I played 9 holes today and 2 holes on the front nine were not even a green. The hole was in the fairway because of under repair greens. The course over all way so bad. Fairway were like stepping on a grass water bubble. The course was so wet that It My ball multiple times stuck under the ground. WATCH OUT FOR THE BIG POT HOLE ON HOLE 3. Worst course I have EVER played. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Cuts/gouges from driving range mats
Adam P.

Update: It turns out that those "gouges" that the mats left on my clubs were just lose fibers from their new mats! All I had to do is brush them off and they were gone. I did email the course with those pictures. They called me and asked me to go to the course so the superintendent could look at the clubs. They showed a lot of concern which I greatly appreciated! - Original Post - I love the place. But the mats on the driving range recked havoc on my clubs. Practice area is awesome. 3 practice greens, 4 practice approach "greens" including one with a sand trap. Haven't played the course yet this year. So disappointed that the mats did this to my clubs which I've only used a handful of times so far.

Best way to finish up a Friday.

I got charged $68 for the worst greens I've ever seen. Sand greens would've been better. Not coming back

A good course for the price. The location makes it a routine destination when I am in Minneapolis.

Also not too busy on the driving range as well, we were able to head down to the end and each get a spot next to one another.

I initially had some frustrations when contacting this place, because when you call the number on…read moregoogle you are sent to a national booking support center. However, once I was able to connect with local staff, I can't speak highly enough of our experience. We booked two bays for my boyfriend's surprise birthday party. The event planner, Hope, truly went above and beyond to help me coordinate. She assisted me in making the booking a littler earlier than what it allows online, offered to bring in any type of beer he would like (in the event they didn't carry what he wanted), make a "Happy Birthday" sign, and escort guests to our reservation space. The instructors and service staff were all phenomenal as well, even with a large group. We had bay 4 and 5; bay 4 has games other than just golf. They felt private but connected to allow for everyone to mingle. There is plenty of seating available; we had a group of 16 and did not feel cramped. Parking is a breeze if you park in the Nordic ramp, and they even validate. Drink prices were very reasonable for a Friday night in North Loop. Would definitely recommend!

They also have drink specials and a few other items. We both ordered wings. I got the FI dry rub and my mom got the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ wings. They came with a small side of seasoned fries. The first round came out with 12 wings each. The dry rub was good. The next round I got buffalo just to try it - I'm very anti buffalo wings due to lack of seasoning or flavor. They definitely weren't good to me, my mom said the same about the bbq wings - lacked flavor, literally just sauce tossed on a wing after it's cooked. I ordered the Tito's Transfusion for a drink, which was decent. Our waiter was nice and attentive. Wasn't busy at all. We did browse around to see the golf simulator bays, which looked cool. They have a lot of private rooms which is nice for hosting events. Overall a nice establishment.

The holes have some elevation changes and there are a lot of mature trees. Some of the greens are a mess due to people not fixing ball marks. But most are in good shape. The course gets a lot play. The cart paths could use some maintenance too. There is a ranger on the course to keep people moving and we played our round in under 4 hours! The club house is over a 100 years old and is in great condition. There's a snack bar on the lower level with sandwiches and hot dogs. I will definitely be back.

The potential is there for sure but holy buckets is this place in rough shape. Certainly the worst I've ever seen it. What's weird is the amount of staff we saw too. I think someone was mowing or cutting a tree on every hole. The greens themselves were in okay condition but man oh man everything else was rough. We also found it weird that they were having people start at all different holes. Either that or they have a serious problem with people just walking onto the course. Honestly hope my buddies don't want to return for a while.
