The table wasn't really that comfortable honestly; it was bulky and made the bay too crowded for our party of 6. I would have much preferred a bay with couch seating, as it would have been easier to munch on food while watching each other swing the golf club. Food wise, my group decided to get the Fairway Feast, which included 6 smash burger sliders, 1 pound of crinkle cut fries, and 18 wings with 2 sauce choices (we got the garlic parm and buffalo). Sliders were just okay, they taste like burger king sliders where the patties don't really have much flavor. The wings were solid and crispy, but the true saving grace was the fries: crispy and melty when you bite into them and also very easy to much on. Gameplay wise, golfing is fun when you're with the right people! Of note, I also came back here a second time for my birthday, as TopGolf offers you a $20 play credit. I booked a 1 hour session during off-peak hours and ended up playing for free (we both have accounts, so no need for the one-time $6 sign up fee). I only went with myself and my partner this time, so we got a very comfortable amount of golf swings in. Ironically, we also got a bay with couch seating, which was miles more better than the high-top tables I had gotten before.

The main building was closed but signs indicate there is a marketplace available on the weekends. Otherwise the course looks beautiful, there is a large easy access parking lot and allowing sculpture access brings attention to this business.

Hiked the dirt trail through the woods and was surrounded by nature. An adventure! All we have left to try here is the golf course. Several of my neighbors golf it every week and are fans. The holes have some elevation changes and there are a lot of mature trees. Some of the greens are a mess due to people not fixing ball marks. But most are in good shape. The course gets a lot play. The cart paths could use some maintenance too. There is a ranger on the course to keep people moving and we played our round in under 4 hours! The club house is over a 100 years old and is in great condition. There's a snack bar on the lower level with sandwiches and hot dogs. I will definitely be back.

There is a setting in your profile to increase the power. The default for everyone is five out of ten. I moved my power up to seven and it's relatively close to what my two doppler radar shows. It's about 7 to 8 yards of carry off, but I can deal with that. I could move it up to an eight, but then my half shot wedges may go 140 yards. Uggg. I personally would rather have more distance accurate tee shots than wedge shots so this works for me.

Gross golf will be celebrating 100 years of operation in 2025! Needless to say, it's an old school…read morecourse. The course is very fair and there are no blind shots on the whole course. When you hit a bad shot you can usually get back in play easily. Even with the almost 40,000 rounds played here each year, the greens are in good shape. If the City of Minneapolis would do a little more maintenance, this would be five stars. There is a nice clubhouse with hot dogs and sandwiches. The staff here is friendly and helpful.
