The course is challenging with uphills and downhills, only 1 dogleg left style design. The greens are well maintained and the start up and completion is very simple and without any hassles. There are no marshals who patrol and there was only 1 group of drunk guys who just wanted to ride down the hills and yell like they were on roller coasters and not play golf. At least they didn't interfere with anyone's game. Parking is usually fine but on full days, can be challenging. Overall, its a nice course and you can usually place at a slow pace without having others wait for you to tee off on slow days.

We set up a tee time for 12:50 @ LOGGER'S TRAIL in Stillwater. The web site indicated $65.00 for golf and $19.00 X 2 for a cart. When we checked in at the course they charged us $84.00 plus tax +$19.00 X 2 for a cart. At best I would call this false advertising. Maybe they took advantage of the nice weather that day & just gouged that days players. No Sr. pricing was offered as well. I couldn't just let this go, I felt the golfing public should be aware. LOGGER'S TRAIL will never see our group again! Maybe they don't care. BE AWARE!! P.s.....$38.00 for a cart is also a rip!! Friday - Sunday & Holidays ** $65 $35(After 1pm) This last line is from their posted green fees!

The course is well maintained with not too many bunkers and not much water but I did manage to find some. A good mix of hole lengths. The service in the pro shop was underwhelming - not the most welcoming but not rude. We got a cart for my dad who had knee surgery not too long ago. It had rained that day but there were no carts on cart path only signs except the par 3. It kept telling him to return to cart path even on a par 5 and would become inop and then make him back up. When we circled back to the pro shop they were able to do a special setting given his knee so they did fix that issue.

We went out with some family members some of whom's first time playing golf. Obviously this would mean we would be slow but to combat this we played a scramble format and most the shots were a few whiffs then we'd pick up and move on. The part that frustrated me is there were other groups in front of us and since most the holes are par 3's we consistently had to wait for the greens to clear or else I would be hitting right into them. The ranger came by and not only told us we were playing too slow but also told us newer players should just pick up their balls and move on. I told him we had to wait to tee off every hole so how can we be the problem of pace of play to which he replied he was telling everyone. Why then take a shot at the new players saying they should just pickup? This is an executive course at an apples orchard, where should new people try to play, at Tory Burne or Prestwick? I would completely understand if we were the reason the place of play was slow, but after having to wait on the tee box every hole and then being told by the ranger our newer players should pick it up was really frustrating. If you're a new player do not come here. And if you're an experienced player there are such better full length courses in the immediate area anyway so I'd go somewhere else.

The vibe is part Northwoods cabin, part whimsical putt-putt wonderland--with twinkle lights overhead, fake pine trees, and just enough obstacles to keep it interesting without causing a tiny human meltdown. The highlight? Watching my kiddo in his sunhat take his "pro swing" with a bright orange putter--while Dad provided a hands-on golf lesson that was equal parts adorable and chaotic. (Note: teaching patience on a par-2 hole is an Olympic-level parenting event.) Course is clean, staff was friendly, and the layout made it easy to play without constantly bumping into other families. Bonus points for the fact that it's indoors--so Minnesota weather can't ruin your plans. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Whether you're chasing hole-in-ones or just trying to get a kid to hit the ball in the general direction of the cup, it's a win for all ages. I'll be back for the driving range later. Try them out!
