My experience at Hi-Tek Nails was notably serene, and the staff demonstrated exceptional accommodating behavior. The salon was immaculately maintained. I requested an ombre fill with nail extensions, which the technician skillfully accommodated. The shape and length were precisely as desired; I was highly satisfied with the overall appearance. However, within four hours of leaving the salon, I noticed bubbles forming in the top coat, along with the chipping of the milky white ombre on several nails on both hands. I contacted the salon to report that my nails were chipping so soon after the appointment. The owner kindly invited me to return to the salon, where all the nails were repainted, and I left satisfied with their appearance. The following day, my middle finger nail fractured and required superglue. The day after, my thumb nail also snapped off. I contacted the salon again, and the owner advised me to come in for a complimentary reapplication. I traveled to Edgewood for the third time, which is approximately a 20-minute drive from my residence in Bel Air North, depending on traffic. Upon arrival, I was informed that because I had received a fill rather than a full set, I would be responsible for the two broken nails. This was concerning, given that I had paid $80 just three days prior. I explained that the nails had fractured due to the extension applied by the technician to increase their length. Unfortunately, the issue was not resolved, and I subsequently wasted hours, gas, and money without resolution. I have decided not to return to this salon in the future. read more

Location of the place is not ideal. Parking is cramped. The store cleanliness- Didn't look like it was thoroughly cleaned for awhile. Plus had a very strong peculiar and strange smell. But the staff is very nice. Pedicure chair- I was vibrating so hard, things started to fall out of my pockets, but the sfaff is very nice. The wait- Well i waited around 10 mins before i could get in the Pedicure chair. They only have three people and all three were working on someone,,but they were very nice. The pedicure- Repeatedly asked for hotter water, as the water was very cool..almost cold...again took another 20 mins for my pedicure to begin as my feet sat in the cool water...but the staff is very nice Manicure- The tech was very aggressive with my hands, jerking and pulling it, slamming it down on the table, again, the water to soak my hands in was cold. Didn't even ask me if it was ok. But again, the staff was very friendly. Bottom line. I'd go back there, if i wanted to gain future friends, but not for servicing. read more

Really impressed with this salon. Vincent (the owner) is determined to make every customer happy. It is also important to him to maintain a clean and healthy store so they vacuum the acrylic dust from the stations as they go. They offer HUNDREDS of gel polish colors so you have plenty of options. They did a horrible job I just moved from Baltimore so I figured I would try this nail place because it's close to my house my nails are real I go every two weeks have the polish removed and re-done when you get the gel polish they're supposed to put two coats of the clear gel base coat which makes my nails hard so they don't break she only put one coat and then the polish plus she charged me just to put super glue On a crack on my nail instead of fixing it and the glue cracked the next day the next day it's been three days since I got my nails done and five of my nails are already broke I am going back there today and she better fix all of them I want them completely redone and I will never go here again and if she doesn't I'm going to raise hell read more

First off, the staff is really friendly but I rated it 3 stars because I didn't feel it was very sanitary. I got fills for my acrylic nails. The supplies they used were dusty. The nail file was well worn (gross). And they used a dirty vacuum extension hose (instead of the brush) to get the dust off my hands! That was the strangest thing I've ever had happen to me at a nail salon (and I've been getting my nails done for 10 years!). It looked like they had the black light sanitizing oven for the pedicure supplies although I didn't get a pedicure to be able to say if they used sanitized supplies or not. The pedicure area was very nice though, I loved the decor. I wonder if they're in the middle of remodeling? There was a lot of clutter near the front of the salon, an ironing board, a sewing machine and a pile of stuff on the checkout desk. Sanitation and cleanliness is very important to me so I will not go back. read more

Well, since there seems to be a lack of nail salon reviews in the area, I decided to trust the one review for this place. I'm glad I did. I walked in and they were very friendly. They took their time, so don't go if you are in a hurry. However, they are very clear to let you know that they want to know exactly how you want your service done. They listen, and most importantly don't try to sell you on "extras." I had a mani and pedi and I am very impressed. It's not a fancy place, but if you want a decent mani/pedi for a decent price (I had a pedi regular and shellac done for 57.00), this is the place. read more

Not from around the area but needed a gel manicure. Was very pleased. The girl spent quite some time and thoroughly cleaned up my cuticles. She took her time with each coat of polish and my nails came out very nice. I couldn't give 5 stars because I felt the gel polish was a cheap brand rather than any of the top line gel (CND, shellac). Also, it didn't appear the cleanest place. read more
