My nail tech (one of the men in the salon) didn't talk to me much or necessarily ask me what I wanted (nail shape, cuticles cut, etc) but I'm honestly not picky and will speak up if I have specifications. If you're someone who cares more or would prefer a more proactive approach, this might be a problem. He was gentle yet thorough-- didn't scrub or exfoliate my life away but removed everything that needed to be removed.
