Good experience. Friendly and professional. He takes Apple Pay. I was in and out of there in 15 mins.

Excellent friendly service. 10 out or 10. Would recommend to anyone needing a smog check.

No issues, best services and accurate! Manage to get my smog check done this morning. It was quick and easy. I do appreciate it that this business is open as it says it will be! read more

My first time being at this location, and Albert (the owner) is a knowledgeable and was very attentive. I trusted this service as well as his good humor. read more

This place is the best! I had to come here multiple times because I made the mistake of getting my smog test a few days after taking my car to the dealer to have it serviced that included an engine "cleaning". What I should have realized was that I was supposed to drive my car for an extended period of time at highway speed afterwards before getting it smog tested. Albert explained this to me after failing the test the first time. The place is a bit hard to find on Woodley Ave. because it's tucked into a narrow alley, but it's worth finding if you need a smog test. Albert is kind, fair and explains things clearly. He's a gem. read more

Nothing has changed, over 10 years of coming here and Albert still runs the best smog test shop around. Always friendly, efficient and honest. read more

I drove to this place because the link showed a 29.95 rate. The manager then said that was an old rate and that he would not honor it. I showed him a coupon for someone a mile away and he at 39.95 and he still would not budge from 50. I was willing to meet somewhere in the middle. Update your site details if you are not going to honor your pictured rates. read more

I've been bringing my cars to Albert for about 5 years. He's very friendly and honest. You never get the feeling or impression that he is ripping you off or telling you something that is untrue. His shop is very clean and he gets the job done quickly. I've walked to get a drink and come back to find the test was done. I've also watched Wold Cup games on his computer while waiting. Your passing certificate gets sent directly to the DMV. It's really easy with no hassle. I've never had a car fail the check so I can't speak about retest policy. Definitely bring your car here with no worries. read more

I rolled up for a regular smog test, but then we saw that my car was leaking gas. A lot of gas. It got all over the floor, and I had to leave my car with the garage next-door. The gentleman who runs the smog test place was so kind, gracious, and accommodating. He could not have been kinder to me, and he cleaned up the giant gas leak all over his floor with a smile and reassurance. I could not possibly recommend this place highly enough. read more

Mention the coupon on his website www.smogcheckinvannuys.com BEFORE he starts writing the invoice and you'll get $10 off. I mentioned after the testing was complete. Albert is the most transparent Smog Technician I have met. He communicates very well, but hes a little quiet for my hearing. I will be returning again. read more

Good service, good suggestions from Albert about increasing my smog efficiency (for next time). Immediate service (no wait time). I was pleased with the result. read more

Great service as always. Never a wait. Owner is always polite and really efficient. This will be my third time in...

Refused to honor a coupon. He backed my car out of his garage and left it with the engine running and door open. I took it to the EZ Smog Check next door and got much better service. This was the worst customer service I have ever received. He was rude to my face. I can not recommend enough to never go to this guy. read more

Great service very friendly fast and reliable. Never have any problems when brining in the car. I recommend this place to people who need a smog check. read more

I always have an ominous feeling when I take my car in to get smogged - I have always had crap cars, that needed an extra "push" to pass smog. My newer car has been well cared for, and still, I was worried. I rolled into Hi-Tech, and 15 minutes later, I was out the door with a car that passed smog - no help needed! I then rolled off to get lunch, and THAT process took longer to get accomplished than the smog. Polite, friendly, honest ... as long as I work here, I'll be taking my car, and sending friends. Thanks, Hi-Tech! read more

*DISHONEST* Be careful of this place. Dishonest service. Came here for a normal smog test. Guy told me there were a bunch of things that needed to be fixed and shook his head like the car was about to fall apart (a 10 yr old luxury car that's been babied). Sent me to his mechanic buddy at 6810 Hayvenhurst (RS Auto Service). I'm sure they would have been happy to split whatever they made up to charge me for the "repairs". I know my car and I know there's nothing wrong with it. Went to another place a few blocks down and passed with flying colors. If you're told you need repairs - DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! Doublecheck with someone you trust. Better yet - don't even stop by these scammers. P.S. Yelp - where are the zero or negative stars? read more

The work was fast and efficient, and the shop was unusually clean for an auto shop. Albert was courteous and helpful. I would definitely return. read more

This is a great place to go! I'm new to California and came here for a smog test. The person who does the testing kept me engaged throughout the wait and assisted me with some questions I had about my car and the California car registration process. I received quick car service, polite customer service, and I would highly recommend anyone to come to this place when you need a smog test! read more

I had just spend money buying a commercial truck and besides paying taxes, registration fees for it, DMV also tells you to performed a smog check for the vehicle. I hate the whole idea. Anyways, trying to be as thrifty as possible because of future expenses, I found this place on line by goggling a star station in my area. I arrive early on a Saturday so I wont be an inconvenience to the staff, I mean the automotive industry is not always to friendly to women. A Gentleman "gentle" man was just opening the shop when he saw me and said good morning to me in the sweetest tone. I brought a coupon in but was not valid but he still gave me a great price. He helped me move my big ass truck inside, complimented me on the purchase of the truck and gave me lots of great business advise. Besides my vehicle passing the smog check, he gave me the best Smog check visitation experience. This is my new smog check place. Affordable, fast and wonderful service. read more
