While replacing the alternator in my car they crushed the oil filter and charged me $5 for the crappy filter they used as a replacement, and also $3.99 for the oil to fill up the filter. (I just had the oil changed and a Purolator PureOne filter installed the day before.) The Haynes manual and every Ford mechanic will tell you that the oil filter has nothing to do with the process, especially since the alternator is supposed to be lifted up and out, not down. I took my car here a couple days ago because I didnt want to take my car to my usual mechanic in the valley. I told them that my car had a oil leakage and I would want it fix, they say to leave it because it was busy and it would be a $50 cost for checking it, they said if they find where the problem is they wont charge me the $50. So I get a call a couple hours later to tell me my car had a oil spill all over the motor and couldnt determined where the leaked was, so they couldn't fix it, that I had to take it to get motor wash which was $130 and to bring it back when that was done. After we called our usual mechanic he said it seems they dont want their hands and fingernails dirty lol, he said bring it and I'll do it, my mechanic charged me $135 and finished the job in a couple hours, what a joke this place is,they charge me $50 to tell me what I already knew. HiTech auto in Palmdale completely raped me dry on my Jeep And my wallet. Took it in for an alternator problem...they lied to me and said my trani needed to be rebuilt, carberater needed complete repair and a new clutch was needed, and I fell for it....ALL lies! 2 days upon getting ny vehicle back and kess than50 mikes of driving it my car seized, smoked and I lost All of my electrical! ALL!!! This was due to hitech installing a quick disconnect on my battery- total electrical loss after what they did. My vehicle is no longer driveable. For this they charged me over 4600$!!!!! This place will indeed scam you. I brought my truck in for a smog check. The check engine light was on and they ran it anyway. It was in the garage for all of 5 minutes and I was informed that it didn't pass. That will be $60 dollars. For what? Well you can have a diagnostic run on it for $99 dollars and then we can repair it for you at an additional cost. If you repair it here, we will retest for free. I declined and took my truck right next door to Palmdale Automotive Inc and Mark checked my check engine light and said it's your coolant sensor. He opened my hood and looked and the sensor and said "It's not connected" and pushed it in. Problem solved! For free!! I told they guy at Hi-Tech and he said well we can't retest for free because the didn't get it repaired here. What? Yes, its still $29.95 for us to run it again. I took it somewhere else. The thing that really bothers me is that they have signs everywhere that indicate they are Christian. This is not how Christians act. If you own a japanese import. Just take it to Palmdale Automotive Inc. and avoid this place at all costs. read more

I stopped in to get a smog check, which they jumped right on and had done in 30 minutes. They also diagnosed a noise from my front end as worn brakes. They machined the rotors and replaced the pads on all four wheels while I went down to the DMV to register. They worked all of this without an appointment. I chose the in-place rotor machining, but they offered two cheaper options. These guys are fair, honest, and work fast. read more

Solid repair shop. My brother owns a shop in Illinois so I know a little about what goes on at these places. Did a good job diagnosing my clutch problem (hydraulic line leak), and offered me a local ride home. While there was a delay in getting the parts (one full day), they replaced what was needed and had the car ready as promised. After driving it though it felt like the clutch was spongy so I brought it back. While they pushed back a bit, they did put it back up on the rack for a line bleed and fixed the problem (I did watch that and it was done right). A full twelve month / 12K warranty on their work is better than average in the industry. Reasonable rates too. Highly recommend. read more

Several months ago, Hi-Tech auto repaired my water pump and there was an oil leak that they went in and repaired at the same time. Today, I went in for an oil change, and the on-site manager there came to me and VOLUNTARILY told me that there was a coolant leak at the place where the work was done and that parts and labor are still under warranty. I am blown away by this. I would not have known until something went very wrong. Honesty and integrity. They have my business as long as I live in the AV. read more

Totally bad experience. Was referred by AAA. I paid for a diagnostic for my range rover be cause it's running lean from bank 1 and 2. That much I knew, I went to then so they could tell me why. They couldn't tell me why and totally were guessing the problem. At the end of the day I sat there for 5 hours for nothing and lost almost 200 dollars. read more

This is a great place to get service on trailer brakes! They were able to help us the day I called and I got the car and trailer back the same day!! Unheard of in the RV services world! Manny researched what we needed and though he had trouble locating the wires needed for the brake system that were supposed to be there, he was persistent. He found them and had the vehicle done by. 6 pm. This also included testing the brakes with the trailer and inspecting the trailer's brakes for wear and maintainance! He offered me the option of switching to a more expensive brake if I didn't care for how this one worked. I decided to change it out and they had me in and out the very next day.
