Been here 2 times already & never had any issues. They got great service, great price, & get you out of there quick.

Technician was fast, caring and professional. Great attitude, great price, I will only go here from now on. A diamond in the rough.

I called to ask how much was for a smog check and when we agreed on the price I told him that I could come in within 10min. He explained exactly how to get into his establishment, as there are a few others surrounding the area. When I got there he was ready to take my car in and smog check was completed in less than 10min. Very efficient! Highly recommended! read more

My name is Blanca and my husband I have been bringing all my Vehicles to California Smog check for a few years and disagree with it being Female Unfriendly. I am treated with respect and professionalism. When I call for a quote I get exactly what I'm told. At least by Tim I know he tries to keep his clients satisfied and at an affordable price we can pay compared to those other shops who charge outrageous prices. If your vehicle is having a passing problem then you need to pay a repair cost. I just want to thank Tim for his hard and trustworthy work and business. read more

Fast & Easy + Open on Sundays! Super efficient and handled my needs. Easy to work with. Will be back!

Tim was great! He checked me in promptly, performed the inspection, and I was done within 15 minutes or so. Great place!

Honest owner,, helped me pass two cars and took time to explain what needed to be fixed.. would definitely use again.

He (Manual) lied and it was suppose to cost me $39 but he said I would pay the regular price which was $39 not $79 to make it pass. He said I didn't drive my car enough. Then let me go drive my car. And not charge me this is not my first car it's my 8th car . There is some things a woman knows. But I believe because I'm a woman & I had my Bus Uniform on . And that was a rip off. read more

I came to see Tim, who runs a one-man smog shop, right off Palmdale Boulevard. It's a tiny 'hole in the wall sort of place' that's located on the back end of a dirt lot, but this place is a hidden gem. My mother and I needed to get her Nissan Altima a smog check this afternoon and Tim answered the phone, and said he could see us right away. When we went over there, he greeted us with a big smile and friendly service. It was my first time meeting him and I felt like we had known each other for a long time. It just so happens that my mom was thinking about selling her car anyway and we were lucky enough to meet Tim this afternoon: He happened to have a buyer for the car, who showed up within the hour, and bam! A deal was made! We got a good deal on the car and it was quite an emotional experience. My father just passed away of cancer in April and this car was a gift he had purchased for my mother about 15 years ago. The next thing I knew, my mom was crying, I was crying and so was Tim! I really felt comfortable here and I will definitely be back. Thanks, Tim. You're awesome. read more

East or West this place is the Best, good customer service, friendly technicians they know what they doing

Went here by accident because we turned too early going to the smog place next door. We had a coupon for $30 smog next door. When my husband gave him the coupon he said "this isn't for us but I will take care of you" and took the coupon and placed it on his clipboard... then, AFTER the smog we were told it would be $50, giving us a discount of just $10. My husband said fine because he doesn't pay attention to that kind of stuff anyway. The guy told us "the more you bring your cars here, the more discount you get". The next day after the payment processed we were charged the full $60. I could have gotten both of my cars smogged next door for the price of one at this shop. On the brighter side, it was quick. read more

800 miles later, this company is NOT Female Friendly! Or maybe Tim tries to rip off people regardless of their gender. Either way, do not use this place. I'm angrier than a cow living on artificial turf! Tim is a super nice guy, however, he is either incompetent or unethical. I spent a month trying to get my 18 year old car to pass its smog test. My car did not pass because it had 3 monitors not ready. Tim said to just drive it and that the monitors would reset. He was so nice!! He was friendly. He was really patient. Such a good guy. So I drive my car. I drive 100 miles, it cleared 2 monitors, but not the last one. I ask him if it can be tested with just the one not cleared, because a friend said it could be. Tim says, "No, it can't because we already ran a test." He tells me to just drive it and come back, it's no problem. Guess what Tim, it is a problem. It's a problem that you have me driving around when gas is $6.89 a gallon, wasting my time, and wear and tear on my car when in fact you CAN run a smog check on a car with the evaporative monitor not ready. When in my car passed no problem. Avoid this place for sure! I mean, the only other option is that he doesn't know how to do his job. read more

Jesse is the man very knowledgeable and excellent service!! Would definitely recommend

Writing this review in their air conditioned office as my car is getting inspected! I called ahead of time to ask for smog check prices in the area. I didn't get the name of who I spoke to but they gave me a great deal. I came in on a Friday afternoon and Omar was able to help me out. I mentioned the deal from the person I spoke to on the phone and he said he would honor that coupon! I'm already getting good vibes from this shop! Glad I ended up coming to this location! Thanks, Omar! read more

I was about to pay for my smog test as the smog test was getting done, and the owner told me"don't pay me until passes. I called to get a quote and was told it is normally 6999 for a smog check on my 2014 Nissan rogue But there's $30 off. When I showed up everything went well. I got home and I checked my account I was charged 79.99. I called and then Shannon said that he would give me a coupon for $30 to use on my next smog check. In two years really? That is such a rip off I do not recommend this place!! I didn't even get the regular quoted price on the phone let alone the discount offered! read more

I called Tim for a smog check quote and he was very nice and helpful! He actually had the lowest price compared to 6 other local shops in the area. He was the only person working but still managed to have a smile on his face and was extremely professional. We went right before closing and the wait wasn't too bad. We will definitely be returning again. Thank you Tim for being so kind and humble. read more

I called to see if open on Sunday, and an upbeat, professional, courteous gentleman, made great first impression. He even offered a deal. I arrived, and though busy, the same man greeted me with complete gracious customer service. His name was Tim. He seemed grateful to have each and every customer. He worked alone, but swiftly and efficiently, with a smile and a kind word for every customer. My car passed, but had it not, I think he would have actually made it easier to accept. Great place, I will return. read more

Great experience! Used to go to the guy down the street, but after prices went up and wait times as well.. I decided to look around. California Smog & Test Only will work with you to give you the best price. Walk across the street and grab a Starbucks, or sit on the comfy leather couch. Quick, easy, and affordable. The only bad thing about this place is I always question when a place has fake reviews, these review are definitely legitimate! read more

Just ask for Timmy, and he'll know what to do! Came here last month to get my 2009 TOY Yaris smog-checked. All I can say is that Tim was so easy to talk to, was very fast and professional! He even offered me a $20-dollar discount, so the total charge was not much at all! What I loved most about him was his honesty and humility. An absolutely REAL individual who works hard and won't cheat you. I've been to other Smog Check centers and auto shops, and they will say a lot about what's wrong with your car. Tim went straight to business and I was out of there in less than 20 mins! Thank you, Tim! I have already recommended you to people I know, so they won't have to look elsewhere for their next smog check! read more

I just want to really recommend this place, ask for Jerry, he was professional, knowledgeable, this place has good pricing and it was done in 15 min. This is the place to go!!! Fast, friendly, professional! Best price in town! Are how I would describe this place! I called around to find the best price for a smog on a Diesel truck and this was it on top of that he had a special going on! Total price was -$40 less then most smog shops out here! When I showed up I was impressed for how clean and professional it was. Was not expecting that for a cheap smog shop! Tim helped me out and was very friendly. I would be comfortable sending my wife or daughter there alone not questions asked! This place is one of the little gems we have in the AV! I won't be going to any other smog shop this is my place and I'll be sending my friends and family there as well! Thanks again California Smog And thank you Tim! read more

I have been bringing my vehicles here for several years now when I get a DMV smog check notice. Tim is a wonderful man to deal with. He's friendly, cordial and always has a smile. We recently had to take our two year old diesel motorhome in for a smog inspection to re-register our rig. These diesel rigs are temperamental when it comes to all the emissions garbage/onboard smog computers that manufactures are required to put on them. We failed the first test because one of the sensors wouldn't show ready. Tim recommended driving it more, and said that this was a common issue. In my 50 years of driving and subsequent smog checks I never had a gasoline vehicle not pass. We drove it several hundred miles at different speeds as recommended, and took it to the Mercedes Sprinter shop and they said the same thing. We drove it a couple of hundred miles more and the sensor still wouldn't reset, so we drove it several hundred more miles. It still wouldn't pass smog so Mercedes reset the computer and said to drive it some more..... One cycle which is a couple of hundred miles, let it sit overnight to cool and repeat two more times. Over the next three weeks time we took our rig back to Tim three times to re-check it, and he was always happy to do it with a smile and was so nice about it, and he didn't charge us. After 1,200 miles and more cycles, we took it back to Tim to be checked again, and this time it passed smog with all the sensors working. Even when I was at my wits end, Tim was very helpful and friendly and encouraging which gave us hope that it would pass. I would highly recommend taking your vehicles to Tim at California Smog Check Center in Palmdale. Rob & Rey read more
