JR is excellent. I request a regular smog check up as my car was due. It was a great vale as I used a coupon from Groupon - it was not expensive. Was a nice first visit. Son's car didnt pass because of smoke out of tailpipe. Fixed some things. Took it back and little smoke was visible. Didnt pass us but said for us to take it to the 'referee'. We did, which was in Bakersfield. He said smoke was fine. Took it back here and said he would not pass it because he doesn't want to mess with his reputation. But if the person higher than him said it was ok, why not pass the car. read more

I've had both my cars smog checked here this year. One was after normal business hours but since I called ahead he stayed open until I got there, which I greatly appreciated. I didn't even ask about the discount for repeat customers that time since I was taking an hour out his free-time, but he gave it to me anyway. I been going here for about 3 to 4 years. I have stop going here because I started seeing a pattern of the guy fails my smog on my cars always I mean always. The last straw was last month again he failed the smog and put it was tampered. Okay I bought the car and smog was passed now all of the sudden it's tampered with him. Which he told bar that it was. Putting it in computer.Except just telling me and me getting it fix. He looks for every little thing to fail your car but he doesn't with his friends and family. I wouldn't recommend this place to nobody anymore. He has a problem with failing people car and get paid so you can come back nope not I. read more

Took my car here to get smogged. Not only has it passed at other places but passed the CHP inspection when transferred over from another state. He failed it due to a visual inspection...scam trying to get more money out of my pocket for something that doesn't need to be fixed. read more

Id like to highly recommend this place, excellent service as well as just down right friendly and works with you on price, his shop is nice and clean very simplistic had a pleasant time waiting for my car to finish its test while lisenting to sone good taste in radio station! He had air one on and thats alwats a good station to listen to! He did make me buy a new gas cap from him je said it wouldnt pass with the current one i had... My 2012 Honda Civic was due for a Smog Check. I waited until the last minute to get it done. I recently moved to Lancaster and was searching the internet for a good place that has a reasonable price. I came across Smog Unlimited and I noticed there were great reviews on their Facebook page and Yelp. I called the number and JR was the one that answered. From the get-go you can tell he had some really great customer service skills. He thanked me for being interested in doing business with them. I arrived at the location and it does look a bit sketchy at first but I did not let that get in the way of any opinion. JR greeted me and was assisting another guest but ensured me that I will be next. I waited for about 15 mins before he took my car. Since I called ahead of time, he gave me a discount and I only paid $40 for EVERYTHING! That's an awesome price! Once my car was taken in, everything else took little time. I was out of the door before I knew it. He gave me his card and said that I never have to pay full price and I could refer people too. He was incredibly nice and helpful. JR sang along to some pop hits on the radio which I thought was kind of funny but showed how open he is. I HIGHLY recommend this place and will be back! read more
