I've been going to this shop for many years and have had several of my vehicles tested here and, on each occasion, they've done a n excellent job ...professional and thorough and honest. And in response to several customer reviews I've noticed below regarding the owners' attitude towards neighboring shops ...I've actually witnessed several confrontations they've had with these neighbors as well as their neighbors' customers. This is a very crowded complex with several automotive shops. The parking is very limited, and ALL the shops are under contract to NOT have overnight parking as they do! This added parking interferes with the access to the smog shop and also takes away their allotted THREE parking spaces and thus they have to constantly ask the other shops AND their customers to NOT take up their spaces. The smog shop is very busy and should not have to constantly break away to make way for their own customers. read more

I didnt have any business with the lady who owns this place I needed to go to the transmission shop in the same lot upon arrival this lady from the Smog shop immediately came across confrontational , Barking orders at me and acting as if she could tell me what to do she tells me move my car from her spots I asked her where she would like me to go since I was already out of my car so I told her I'll go talk to the owner of the transmission shop to see where he wants me to park as I came back I approached the women to apologize for parking in her spots and the man told me I could park in front of some broken down cars as I went to tell her she starts yelling at me asking if I knew how to read and I'm standing the flabbergasted that I came to apologize and this women starts to belittle me and talk down as if she is above me to make matters worst she blocks me with a customers truck from me being able to leave then tells me she'll move my car for me in my head I'm thinking who TF does this lady think she is I had to yell at her literally to F*ck off and ended up having to call the Sheriffs because she wouldn't allow me to leave this lady is a disgusting human being who claims to be Christian but treats people like garbage if you aren't her race or ethnicity even other shop owners came out after the altercation and apologized for her behavior and explained this is a usual for this owner of the smog shop unless your Hispanic she could give a rats ass about you customer or not she is a vile person read more

The service was so good I had to write a review. Dont let the location scare you off, its a little tight in the parking lot due to several auto shops sharing the same space. The guy that did the smog was incredibly helpful. you can tell he was a real car guy at heart and spent time showing me various things, explaining the process and doing a complete job. He went over the Smog report (passed) with me and explained the readings and any areas of concern for the future as well as tips on how to prepare the car for Smog. I will be coming back for other vehicles. read more

Third time being here and its a no hassle kind of place. I used a check and they gladly accepted. But they also take cash, Visa, or MasterCard. I paid $50 flat after tax. Its a small garage so there's not that much space for waiting but ample enough for four customers to be waiting. They offered me a water or soda while I waited which was convenient. They have a nice and friendly staff. Will return in the future. Only gripe is parking because its such a small area but its easily overlooked. read more

Today was my first time at D&V Smog- wow. As soon as I parked my car, Eva walked up to me and I handed her my DMV paperwork. She asked for my keys and showed me their waiting area. Just a short while she returns with my paperwork to sign and add my particulars. I continue to wait and within an hour, she returns and says I'm finished. Wow- I thought I had to wait for the guy in the stall to be finished before they even started with me!!! Nope, I was finished!! Eva had been working on my car elsewhere!!! Done within the hour!!! Praise the Lord!!! All done and have my license renewal!!! A very successful day!!! Thank you D&V Smog!!! read more

I've been taking all my vehicles to Gonzalo at D&V for several years and I have never had a complaint yet, He looks things over before starting the test and lets yo know if you need to do something before starting the test. He does not want the test to fail! He's straight forward, honest, and the price is always the same even if he has to spend extra time to get it to pass. He is quite knowledgeable and willing to share it. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

He also tried to argue that my aftermarket parts were not smog compliant despite having the CARB printout stating everything is CA smog compliant. Very unprofessional service. Extremely rude. I had been going here for years and never had an issue. Whoever I delt with now are completely rude and unprofessional and degrading. Definitely dont go here. There are places that are cheaper and actually have good customer service. Sucks to see what was once a good place go so far down in the gutter with customer service. Id also like to add that the buisness' STAR certification is currently under review because of how often cars are failed at their center..

I was debating whether I should give him two or three stars. I'm sorry, but I have to go with two…read morestars. I took my vehicle there for a small check and part of the smog check. Checklist is a visual anyway my vehicle failed the smoke check because it did not have the right catalytic converter on there. So now I have to come back to this guy again and pay him an extra 40 bucks on top of the 60 bucks that I had already paid them. So I came back because $40 is cheap cheaper than paying somewhere else 60 bucks again. This time my vehicle passed because I changed the catalytic converter to the right one, but I couldn't help it but to ask who seems to be the owner. I asked him when he does the smog check. Does he do the visual at the beginning or at the end and he told me the visual he does it at the end. I don't know why I had a feeling the first time I I was there, he did the visual first so I feel like he already knew that my vehicle was not gonna pass but he decided to proceed with the diagnostic or not the diagnostic but the small check I don't know why I have a feeling that he was maybe being dishonest about that. If he was, that is too bad. Because if he would've seen that, the catalytic converter didn't match the vehicle he could've told me to get that fixed and then come back because the truck wasn't gonna pass. I am co-owner of a company and we have several company vehicles, and I was really looking for a place that we could call home for all our vehicles, but I will not be coming back to this place. I'm sorry.
