I was charged 10 dollars extra for "disposing of used engine oil in California" ... Seemed shady since AutoZone across the street takes it for free. The manual labor for an oil change was 65 plus the 10. Only in an emergency I would recommend. But avoid the silly charge. read more

i took my own parts good parts at that and still mess up my car.i purchase some spark good quality that he did say and had them put on.they did gads them they just put them on like it needed not to be done.so i go back and question them,victor say oh we don't do that we just make sure they are not broken,now my car feels like it wants to cut off, i said it needs to be fix he said well that's 165.00 plus labor not included the diagnostic,i just walk out.what a joke. when i first went there the owner said i don't usually do other people parts but you have new parts and they are the ones we use.so it was not a probably. now it was a probably because they didn't gads them just to make sure they were not broken. if this was a professional mechanic place they would have done it with no problem. walk out the door paying almost 400.00 cash, with no warranty because i purchased my own parts.be carful how you treat people,especially women.. read more

Got in an accident late in the afternoon and AAA recommended this shop for me. Since it was late and had no where to leave my car due to the accident i towed it and left it parked outside there shop. The next day they gave me a call and told me my car was broken into. Now; i know that's not a reason to give this place 2 stars but as they started working on my car and charged me over 100 for a simple estimate, they gave me an outrageous price. I took it to a different shop down the street and got a free estimate and half the original price they were going to charge me. The only good thing about this place is the workers being nice, but the area and price they charge are not worth going here. read more

Strongly don't recommend going here they're literally just there to pay their shop bills they charged me 420$ to simply install a fuse box and didn't even have it screwed on right my truck cut of on me several times when I was driving home had to figure out the problem my self !! Bought a car from Manny on May 11th, drive tested and Manny told us what he had fix on and what needed to fix in the future. Manny had fix many things on the car. This car was used and was not perfect but in far conditon for the price $1850. I bought the car and driv it back to LA and on the 14th of May the coolant leak and the car broke and engine overheated and now the car is not working or driving anymore. Basically I was sold a lemon and bought a car for 2 days and pay registrations and fee too! I callend Manny few time and my husband called many few time and my friend called too and never were able to get hold of him. Today I called and he just say I sold it to you as is! I called them and asked them if they work on Prius. They said yes. I figured with a name like "Hi-Tech Auto" that they should. I told them i had a bad inverter and gave him the codes. They called me in the afternoon and said they couldn't fix it just yet and needed to do more diagnostics before determining the exact part failed. They quoted me $4000 in possible charges. I told them to stop what they were doing and i picked up my car after $167.00 in charges for "diagnostics". They only told me what i told them was wrong with my car. I went online and contacted hybrid2go and they drove to my house and changed the inverter for $1000 with lifetime warranty. Car runs great now. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would ! Do not go here, they are unprofessional, rude & liars. They told me they fixed my thermostat and I was ok to drive my car. 1 day later my car started over heating again . I brought it back and they completely lied saying I was told not to drive the car and my head gaskets are damaged now because I drove the car anyways. I explained there's no way my car should be over heating the very next day if it was supposedly fixed . They continued to lie, took my money, did not fix my car and left me with an even more messed up car then when it first came in. Did not acknowledge the fact they they messed up instead blamed my car problems all on me. The worse place I've ever been to. Still on premises. I was told that my car would be 542.00 total. And it was told to me twice that the total amount would be 542.00. total. However, when I went to pick up the car, they told me the price was $780. They said because that 5:42 did not include the diagnostic. Well, if someone tells you that the total amount is $542, that's what you're expecting to pay when you go pick up your car. Not $542 plus the diagnostic amount. air conditioning tech gave me a bad diagnostic about my air on a 2014 Honda Civic , he charged me $200 dollars to check my air said that was the ac condenser will cost me $2000 to get it fix. I went to a different ac Shop. they charged me $45 to check it said that was some valves and other thing they charged me only $1045 dollars and fixed it so this ppl don't know what they're doing.. read more

Seriously? $277 for a car battery? So my car did not crank. I put the charger and it stated "Fully Charged". So maybe the alternator, sensor, or starter. Called AAA and got a tow to Hi tech which was recommended. I was told there is a $99 diagnostic fee. The car was left at 08:30. At 10:00, they discovered the issue. It was a defective battery. Charged $129 for a battery + $30 labor to install. THE DIAGNOSTIC CHARGE was NOT even applied to the repair as done in many other shops. I am a such a stupid sucker. Never again to High Tech Auto. Oh... I did get a AAA discount which dropped down to $244. Lol read more

I would not recommend this place at all! I would have given 0 stars if it was an option. We took our 2014 Chevy Malibu to this shop for repairs and was charged over $2000. Since picking the car up we've returned at least 4 times for the same issues that were "repaired." The a/c has not worked properly since being repaired and I was charged over $200 for that service alone. Today we took the car back for issues with the stabilitrak system and a/c. They insisted that we pay $149 for a diagnostic on the a/c and stated they never completed one during initial repairs which is completely unprofessional. They stated they serviced it without doing a diagnostic and now I'm left to deal with their inefficiencies. In addition, they refused to refund for that service. Furthermore the stabilitrack continues to have issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GOING TO THIS SHOP!!! read more

Hi Tech is an honest auto repair shop. I have taken my cars there for 20+ years. They have had several opportunities to upsell me when I came in expecting the worse only to find the repair to be something minor. This is the ONLY place I would go for a smog check, my vehicles have passed EVERY time. Every place I had used previously sold me some (probably) unneeded repair. The place does not look like much and it is not convenient to my house on the other side of town, but I make the drive every time my car is in need of service. read more

October, 2016 I took my car in because iit would not start. Per the $99 diagnostic the A/C compressor went bad. Replacement was recommended along with dryer and flush zyztem, a new belt and recharge a/c. $1150+ tax. 20% discount because they are AAA certified. I paid $1126.02. Long story short, the air blew cool, not cold for a short while. Now it blows hot air only. I took it back, where $99 diagnostic fee was required. After paying $1126.02 I did think I should be required to pay it. I have zero to little car repair knowledge, so although they may be right it does not feel right. In fairness, possible electrical issues were mentioned. However, the a/c is blowing hot air. Apparently, people have good experiences with them. I did not. I gave them two stars because my car was running when I left there. read more

They don't service hybrid or hybrid maintenance.. website as of 11/8/19 claims hybrid car maintenance . I asked about cleaning the Hybird battery Cooling fan, such is part of hybrid maintenance.. I'm pretty sure its never been cleaned in 93k miles since the inlet was caked with dirt and dust .. they just wanted 275$ to do a diagnostic Really? I can get free diagnostic elsewhere and they will give me the codes as well.. They did excellent work on my vehicle. They gave me specific diagnoses on the issues with my Honda Passport, and did the work needed to pass smog. They also saved me from having to spend an additional $650 to replace a catalytic converter unnecessarily, unlike the previous shop where I tried to get it smogged. They gave me advice on how to document all the repairs needed to pass smog so I had the evidence to take legal action against the seller. Highly recommend them, and will definitely be using them again. They are the best deal in town. read more

I had my car towed to this establishment in good faith that they would be fair. I called to get an estimate Of cost and what was wrong with my vehicle and was informed that a diagnostic would cost me $150.00 and that my battery was completely lost and that for them to check my engine it would cost an additional $250 for a battery and terminal connectors, so in total $400.00 before even checking the original reason I had car towed there. Needless to say I was upset and informed the owner I would be having my car towed to a different location and was rudely told I had to pay his "billable hours" before I could get my car, and he told me that his diagnosis of my car was done in the parking lot not in the garage. Long story short and $75.00 later I picked up my car in the exact same condition as when it was towed there. I do NOT recommend This establishment unless you are wanting to spend outrageous cost for a very unprofessional experience. read more

With regret, I must say that I will never use this repair shop again. I took my 2008 BMW for a smog and it passed all diagnostics... but since there was visual smoke coming out of tail pipe, they failed it. Written estimate says that PC, oil gasket, etc needed replacement to stop oil leak and smoking. After 1500.00 in repairs and now it passed smog, I drove home and it was smoking worse than ever! Sounds dishonest to me... how did you fail smog due to smoke and now passed????? With it still smoking!! read more

I took my car here a couple days ago because I didnt want to take my car to my usual mechanic in the valley. I told them that my car had a oil leakage and I would want it fix, they say to leave it because it was busy and it would be a $50 cost for checking it, they said if they find where the problem is they wont charge me the $50. So I get a call a couple hours later to tell me my car had a oil spill all over the motor and couldnt determined where the leaked was, so they couldn't fix it, that I had to take it to get motor wash which was $130 and to bring it back when that was done. After we called our usual mechanic he said it seems they dont want their hands and fingernails dirty lol, he said bring it and I'll do it, my mechanic charged me $135 and finished the job in a couple hours, what a joke this place is,they charge me $50 to tell me what I already knew.
