Egg drop soup

First things first... This restaurant is smack dab in the middle of Town & Country and for some odd reason it has a decorative helicopter on top of the building. Why? I have no clue. I went right before the "lunch rush" and had the General Tso's chicken. Honestly, it was not too bad but if you pour enough sauce on anything it will be tolerable. The actual meat were all perfectly round pieces of "chicken" that were FAR from high quality. The sweet and sour chicken was much the same way. This was just pretty far off from good American Chinese and nothing like authentic Chinese. I will say their friends rice was actually pretty tasty.

Definitely disappointed. Order wasn't right, food that we did get wasn't very good. Will go elsewhere for Chinese.

This was the worst food I've ever eaten. A waste of time and money. Get your Chinese food somewhere else...

Best thing I had. Tasted like family food, felt like what mom would make. 10/10 would always come back.

Here for a quick getaway. Looked up potential places for dinner one night and came upon Jesus…read more(pronounced hey-soos) Latin Grill in Mishawaka. Reviews were great. Looked like an interesting place. Goodness, it was NOT disappointing! Vibe inside was eclectic, colorful, and fun. Our server was fabulous! Friendly but not obtrusive. Knew the menu well. Did everything with a smile! We started with their fresh made guac and the best freshly made tortilla chips we've ever had in a restaurant. We shared the verde salad...spinach, arugula, chocio corn, white beans, grilled avocado slices, jicama, pepitas, honey garlic dressing. Kinda exciting to get a salad unlike any other! So good! Hubby had the Chochinita Pibil...yucatan slow-roasted pork with all the fixings (look at the menu for details) and accompanied by their freshly made, banana leaf wrapped corn tortillas. I had the Peruvian Street Chicken, stacked high on the plate with, among other things, olive tapenade and the most delicious charred lightly smashed potatoes. It was HUGE and easily could have served 2-3 people (needless to say, we doggie-bagged mire than half of it!). Again, unique and taste-bud exploding flavors! Hubby tried, and enjoyed, their hose brewed Mexican lager which he says was crisp and malty. I cannot fail to mention the beverage I tried (on server's recommendation), the Mole Dream Mezcalita. Spicy. Cold. Good to the last savored sip! Will we go again? YES! Might even bring some friends for a quick road trip!

I had the short ribs and wife had the chicken puff pastry. The dessert was next level. Wife had the cheesecake which was a basque... but very much like NY style. I had the brûlée and that was one of the best I've had. Ambiance was nice. Casual but nice.

Onion Soup Gratinee - $11 - Needed salt and wasn't very flavorful. 2/5 stars. Chorizo and Shrimp - $22 - This was easily the best dish. Cooked well, good flavor, and a decent portion (probably because the price is so high). 4/5 stars. Chicken and Leek Puff Pastry - $26 - The pastry was lacking. It was soggy, weird taste to it, and just not pleasant. The filling was also mediocre. Don't get this. 0/5 stars. L'Entrecote de Paris (Steak Frites) - $45 - The steak was chewy, the fries were over salted. For $45, this was not enough steak, whatsoever. Not like it was a good cut either. It's a rip off. 0/5 stars. Pan Roasted Duck Breast - $36 - My mom and I both ordered this, and we could combine both of our dishes to make ONE duck breast. Portion was horribly small. Never have I ever been given HALF a duck breast. The sauce wasn't good either and it was broken. 2/5 stars cause the rest of it was cooked fine. The birthday dessert was a scoop of ice cream and some stale cinnamon pastry thing. This was wildly bad. If the flavors were on point, the prices would be understandable. But the flavors were bad, the prices are expensive, and we waited a very long time to get our food. We couldn't get into a different restaurant that night (it was a Saturday night on move in weekend), but this one we could get into, and now we know why. Don't go here.
