First and foremost This review isn't meant to deter anyone from buying a car here, but to advise caution when visiting Doral HGreg location. The car I purchased was good, but aside from the car I'm still have an extremely disappointing experience with HGreg Doral. Despite assurances from Alex, the sales manager, advising me that everything would be taken care of the day I bought the car, I've been waiting over three weeks for a check related to a car I traded in. Their customer service has been unresponsive, likely due to a caller ID screening system. After signing all documents and transferring all my belonging to the new car, I went up to the front desk to collect my trade in check as instructed and this happened. Tyrone surprised me with new information and told me it would take 3-5 business days to have it ready. Then when I visited the dealership on the 5th day since no one called or followed up with me, Tyrone called me a liar and told me that he said 7-10 days. On the 10th day I visited them again and, Alan, the finance manager I dealt with, said he didn't know what was going on with my check and hasn't followed up since. Miguel my sales rep has taken time out of schedule and tried to help, but overall it's been a frustrating experience & a 3 week hold time with no updates on my trade in check. New potential Buyer Beware, Use Caution with HGreg Doral.

The mandatory protection plan of bullshit for $1,598.

I went in for a car priced at $12,198. The sales person immediately started out with an "elite protection plan" that costed $1,598. This was not in their website by the way. But anyways, we test drove the car and talked numbers. At the end, the total amount for the car came out to be $17,363.58. The jump from the original car price to this number was insane. The protection plan was apparently "mandatory" and it was already on the car. Everything else I understood but the doc fee was $899 and the pre delivery service fee was $1,299. Between these prices, the price of the car went up so high that I preferred to look at other dealerships. If you're looking for a used car, I would say to look at other places where you can actually negotiate price and have lower doc fees and service fees. I went to west Kendall Toyota and came out with a newer model of a Mazda Cx-5 in super good conditions for under $15,000 with NO BULLSHIT fees.

The "customer first" image is pushed hard, but as an employee, it often felt like numbers and quotas came first--by a mile. Cars were rushed through inspections to meet deadlines, and there was always pressure to move inventory, even when it clearly needed more attention. That famous "125-point inspection"? Let's just say it's more about checking boxes than actually checking the car. Management varied wildly--some tried their best, others were more interested in micromanaging or playing favorites. Advancement felt more political than performance-based, and good employees were often overlooked while others coasted by doing the bare minimum. If you're thinking of buying a car here, double-check everything and don't rely too heavily on the CarMax "stamp of approval." If you're considering working here, just know that the culture isn't nearly as polished as the commercials make it seem. Disappointed to leave with such a bitter taste, but I can't say I'm surprised. May god look over this company and renew its workforce and maybe they can stay true to there words .

When we arrived, Simon was ready to show us the car. We took a quick test drive and then returned to the dealership to engage in the usual song and dance. Simon returned from the manager's office with the typical BS stuff tacked on, and we had other cars to look at, so we departed. After looking at all of our options, we thought the CRV here was the best. I texted with Simon the following day and asked for the add ons to be removed and negotiated the dealer fee down a little. Much to my surprise, we were able to quickly agree and come to a deal. The only catch was that I needed to finance the car to get the advertised low price, but they said I could pay it off before the first payment. Juan, the finance manager, was great - no BS, no games. I ran all of the documents through Claude AI and confirmed that there were no tricks, no secrets, no "gotchas". We were able to e-sign the documents from home. I ubered to the dealership and arrived at 12:30. I was in the car exiting the lot at 12:54! It seriously could not have been easier. Please be advised that they keep the dealership refrigerated to arctic levels, so if you need to spend anytime there for negotiation or credit approval, bring a sweater! And a coat! And maybe some gloves! Kudos to Simon and Juan for not being the stereotypical vultures! This was a really relaxed and stress free process.

Had I known it would be this long, I would've arranged my own Uber home and actually gotten some work done instead of wasting a huge chunk of my day just waiting around. Communication and customer care definitely fell short this time. Not once did my service consultant Sebastyan come communicate with me give me an update. Tell me sorry it's taking longer or sorry they're still working on it. I had to keep finding out the status and progress of my car by asking myself at the checkout desk . I called to see if they could fix them, and that's when the problems started. They made me bring the car in, kept it for a week, called me back, and said they didn't have the part. I had to take it back, and when they told me they had the part, they kept it for another week. In the end, they only fixed the smallest problem. They told me the person in charge (a guy named Ricardo) didn't approve the repair. When I tried to talk to him, he never showed up... he didn't even answer the phone. Please, people, be careful with this dealership. Thank God I have all the messages saved, and I plan to take legal action because I don't want other innocent people to be scammed like my wife was.
