Saw mixed reviews and wanted to give them a shot as my son saw a car he was interested in. Started off good as online rep called to confirm the vehicle we were interested in and confirmed appointments to come see it. Arrived at the time of appointment and greeted with a sales reps that didn't know the meaning of a smile. Then only to find out the car we came to see wasn't available at the dealer and it was at the west palm beach location going through an inspection! Why??? Why confirm appointments and why post the vehicle being available at Doral when it wasn't. False advertisement and bait and switch tactic likely. However, luckily my son was also interested in other vehicles at the location so it kinda worked out. Another issue as well was their key management system as they seem to have a hard time finding keys for the car we where interested in and when found and ready for a test drive, they had trouble finding keys for cars that were blocking us in. Advice to call the dealer directly to confirm availability compared to dealing with the online customer service. And be prepared to wait! Everything else is also true about other reviews with the high dealer fees of $1299 and a mandatory protection plan that's $1699 which along with sales tax and title and tag fees will likely add $4000-$5000 extra for your out the door price. I was interested in a s550 and since I was paying cash I asked if a discount could be applied, instead of just simply saying no my apologies I can't negotiate the price on this vehicle. She then began talking over me, as if I was a child. They are very greedy. I went to the Orlando location! This is the worst experience I've had purchasing a vehicle. They told us they do a thorough inspection on every vehicle before they list it, however when I got my car it immediately had coolant issues. They took the car back and fixed the obvious problem (a broken hose). I got the car and within 2 days we noticed the coolant fluid was boiling. They took the car back again, ran diagnostics and found 3 other issues. It took ONE month for me to get my vehicle fixed, while paying for rentals out of my pocket. Yes, they reimbursed it, but it was over $900 coming out of my card right in the middle of the holiday season. They kept pushing back the return date with no consideration. I wrote an email to their GM and he never responded. They did absolutely nothing outside of what they had to do to try and make up for all the headache. They will lure you in with their computers and show you how "good" of a deal you're getting but it's all a scam. Service managers know nothing when you call, they don't return calls even when they say they will. ONE month, my first payment was one week away and I hadn't even driven my car for more than 2 days. And to top it off, they returned the car with a nice dent by the hood; that I can't fight because I rather have it with a dent than talk to those people again. Absolutely horrible, I expect this to happen at a buy here pay here. But I never thought I'd go through so much trouble at a "reputable" dealership. The place reeks shady, and I'm only upset that I got stuck with this deal. If you can get a deal somewhere else, just do that. Despite assurances from Alex, the sales manager, advising me that everything would be taken care of the day I bought the car, I've been waiting over three weeks for a check related to a car I traded in. Their customer service has been unresponsive, likely due to a caller ID screening system. After signing all documents and transferring all my belonging to the new car, I went up to the front desk to collect my trade in check as instructed and this happened. Tyrone surprised me with new information and told me it would take 3-5 business days to have it ready. Then when I visited the dealership on the 5th day since no one called or followed up with me, Tyrone called me a liar and told me that he said 7-10 days. On the 10th day I visited them again and, Alan, the finance manager I dealt with, said he didn't know what was going on with my check and hasn't followed up since. I purchased a 2017 BMW X5 from HGreg on August 9, 2024, along with their so-called "Best Platinum Warranty"--sold at a premium rate under the assurance that I would be fully protected and covered. Within two weeks, the rear shocks failed, and the warranty proved nearly useless. It barely covered any portion of the repair, and it was nearly impossible to reach a live representative for assistance. I paid $2,480 out of pocket on the very first repair. Since that time, I have spent over $7,192 in repairs, towing, and rentals--all within just twelve months of ownership, with major issues beginning a mere 12 days after purchase. Despite reaching out repeatedly to Alex (my sales representative) and the warranty company, it took two weeks for anyone to respond to my multiple calls and messages. By the time my case was reviewed, I was told neither HGreg nor the warranty provider was responsible for an exchange or return because the 30-day period had expired--by only one day. This was especially infuriating as my outreach was well-documented within that timeframe. What has been most disappointing is the complete absence of follow-up. I went in for a car priced at $12,198. The sales person immediately started out with an "elite protection plan" that costed $1,598. This was not in their website by the way. But anyways, we test drove the car and talked numbers. At the end, the total amount for the car came out to be $17,363.58. The jump from the original car price to this number was insane. The protection plan was apparently "mandatory" and it was already on the car. Everything else I understood but the doc fee was $899 and the pre delivery service fee was $1,299. Between these prices, the price of the car went up so high that I preferred to look at other dealerships. If you're looking for a used car, I would say to look at other places where you can actually negotiate price and have lower doc fees and service fees. I went to west Kendall Toyota and came out with a newer model of a Mazda Cx-5 in super good conditions for under $15,000 with NO BULLSHIT fees. read more

That is a very big purchase for someone and the lack of inspection Is mind-boggling. With that being said, I contacted the department and my car's been in the shop for two weeks. They fix the massive oil leak, which was from the oil cooler free of charge, of course. But all of this could've been avoided and I wouldn't have had purchased a car If I would've seen the leak. Then I was told to look at other cars I might like. I settled for a 2018 Mazda CX-5. I asked for a 48 month loan but the greedy finance manager Sadel Saez insisted I get the 72 month loan. He then sold me an extended warranty and gap coverage stating that everything would be covered. 14 months later my transmission broke while I was on vacation with my 3 kids. My experience there was very good. My sales rep, Miguel Masferrer, was great to work with, and I highly recommend him. Zero high pressure and easy to talk to. At first they low-balled my trade. I showed them an alternate offer I had, and they came very close to matching that number. I found Alex the manager very friendly and professional to work with. I liked the no-haggle pricing, and my final out-the-door price was much lower than I could find anywhere else. There are many reviews complaining about the add-on fees. Two of these are spelled out on their website, so I think complaints about these two - dealer and filing fees - are unwarranted. Most dealers have these fees listed in the fine print somewhere. I do feel HGreg's are slightly higher than most. Also, I agree that the third fee - $1500 "elite package" - is a joke, and they hit you with it at the last minute. HGreg should list this on their website as a mandatory fee. My advice is to read the fine print, and be aware of that elite package. Whatever they list as the list price on the website, just add $3900 plus tax and registration to understand your out-the-door price. Bottom line, if the final cost isn't what you want, then walk away. I don't understand the reviews of people shocked by these add-on fees. Just go somewhere else. At the end of the day, my out-the-door price was far lower for my car than other options available to me. By a significant amount. So, if you can get a great price on a great car, then take the deal. Was told the car was still under warranty yet was provided no proof of such. Forced into a $1500 payment for maintaining the interior and other things without given the option of declining. They don't pay attention to signatures either because I wrote "No" as my signature which is not even my name. My husband immediately stated I was going to cosign and the sales agent let him start putting my information in without even asking me first as I was in the bathroom. Unprofessional and I would be leery about doing business here. I wasn't even asked if I agreed to be the "buyer" on the car with my husband as the "co-buyer". I didn't want an outrageous payment under my name and I didn't agree to it, but they pushed everything through. We spent several days deciding whether to purchase a Prius from this dealership. When we came in to finally purchase the car we noticed that it had an aftermarket rack and we wanted it removed. When removed they placed silver screws in the roof where the rack was. I was not going to purchase a 19,000 car with silver screws (total of 8 screws all around the roof) The salesman had the nerve to tell me 1. That ALL Prius' have screws that stick out and 2. He could put black screws instead. The other thing is that they literally wanted to EXTORT 1300 for a premium service protection plan that we did not want. By the way, I am attaching a picture of the roof of the Prius that we are buying at West Kendall Toyota. Look! No screws and it is $2000 less than the one at HGreg and a newer year and less mileage. That place has no customer service, sales personnel just sitting around drinking their coffee and 1 poor guy doing the financing. Our sales personnel Alexandre knew nothing about cars. Be VERY wary - shady business tactics and outrageous dealership fees ($5k worth). We purchased a 2019 alpha Romeo from them and within TWO HOURS of owning the car these error codes started popping up and the car was actually shaking. I believe they cleared the codes on the vehicle before selling it. We took the car back the next day - my husband had to take off work and I did as well in order to remedy this situation. Unfortunately hgreg has an EXCHANGE ONLY policy which is bs considering they sold us a bad car and they knew it - very upsetting.
