While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. Here's how they stood out: They had excellent communication. From Angelo's estimate all the way to passing inspection, they were on top of their game. The estimate had every combination of options listed with exactly what they were going to do and photos of the planned work. We were assigned a field supervisor (Justin, I believe?) who would come out on the same day to inspect any issues we brought up. Our contact with the office via Cindy and Anthony was also superb and always timely. The work was done swiftly and well. The roofers were done before I got back from work. Siding and gutters are more involved, but they did excellent there as well and Roman et al. were excellent to work with, took feedback very well (see communication above), and were very hard and efficient workers. All in all, we were done with our project long before other houses in the same subdivision who had all signed up with doorknocker companies, and they delivered a high level of quality. To be clear, their estimate was slightly higher (my gut says 10% higher, but it's been a while since I reviewed the proposals) than some other offers we received, but for the work that we were doing, level of customization, and communication, we wouldn't make a different choice. I'm usually not one to spend time getting a bunch of quotes and just rely on Yelp reviews to make a purchasing decision, but this was pricey enough purchase that i figured I should do my due diligence.' Siding & Windows Group was one of the 4 companies I had come out for a quote. We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.

I had a little bit of sticker shock from the first quote so decided this would be worth getting multiple quotes on. And Home Build was one of them due to their stellar Yelp reviews. I called them and they were able to send Oscar out right away. They told me to save 60 -90 min for the consultation, which seemed like a lot of time considering every other company just needed 5-10 min of my time. However, i was willing to invest the time for the right doors and right price. Oscar and i met for over an hour. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about all my door options. He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. In the end I went with a different company due to price, but thought this company offered a good product at competitive pricing so would be worth looking into them.

We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. As instructed, I texted photos of the window on January 9, 2025. After receiving no acknowledgment that my message had been received, I followed up by phone approximately one week later and was told that they were behind due to the holidays and weather and that someone would be calling me back. When no one contacted me, I called again about a week and a half later and was told the same thing, that they were behind and that someone would be calling me either that day or shortly. Another week passed with no response. When I called again, I was given the same explanation and assurance that someone would call me that day, and I would also receive a quote. At no point during these initial calls was I told that the company was researching parts, seeking a quote, or otherwise actively working on the request. Those explanations were raised only later, during the last call, after I expressed concern about the lack of follow-up. As of February 2, 2025, twenty-four days after my initial message, the company still failed to provide any acknowledgment via text where I was asked to contact them, an update on the parts and service requested, or a meaningful response, and the quote that was promised the week prior has not been received. Instead, I was met with a dismissive and defensive response claiming they do not have time to respond to every text and that they had been researching the issue and would reach out. That explanation does not align with what was actually communicated to me or with the repeated assurances that I would receive a return call. As a business owner, all of my communications are documented and recorded. I was simply attempting to address broken windows for tenants in a timely manner and to engage a vendor willing to perform the work. The failure here rests entirely with this company. Their lack of responsiveness and professionalism has eliminated any possibility of future business or a positive recommendation from me. Buyer beware.

I shared photos and information to get a quote ahead of time for my association to approve before dropping off the existing door to size and replace. I dropped off the door 5/12 and they did a wonderful job explaining to me that there was a part they may need to reuse but would clean it up for me. After some time passed, I called the shop 5/30 to check in on my order in which they told me they were a bit back logged on projects for the summer and I should expect a call soon. I didn't have any outreach so I called again 6/9 (4 weeks after the original drop off date) and they told me it would be ready the next day for pick up. When I went to get the new door, I had asked if I could get a convenance discount as it took double the amount if time to complete as stated. The response was no because my receipt had a blanket statement that said "approx 2 weeks" even though verbally I was told 2 and there wasn't anyone in the store who could approve a discount anyways. On top of this, I inspected my door and the part reused was not cleaned or touched up at all as originally promised. There was still dirt on it from the original drop off. Overall, my door looks wonderful and I am happy with the outcome of it. Blaine does do great work but could use some improvement on customer service and transparency to customers. Please be patient with them and don't be afraid to check in.
