After a couple months looking for wedding invites and receiving quotes between $3k - $4k I decided with some help and my moderate creativity this is something that can be DIY'd. It wasn't as easy as I thought. I designed an invitation, rsvp card and reception details and set up the file to print on the same sheet of paper. I wanted black thermography type printing which has raised text. It didn't take long to read a few reviews here and get the feeling that I was in the right hands with Heston Graphics. Once I met with Lon I quickly felt like he was treating me like I was family. He relentlessly helped adjust all the files so they were lined up properly, fixed some sizing issues and added cut marks for his machines to read. He also caught a major spelling error I made that would have had to be reprinted. He spent so much time perfecting the files... borders, sizing etc AND gladly waived the hourly design fee. He has a heart of gold and I knew, like myself, his goal is an amazing finished product. One of his many specialties is foil stamping. I wanted a logo stamped with black foil and Lon got it done while other companies told me the location desired just wasn't possible. He also redesigned it to look more impressive and took the time to vectorize a photoshop file. Lon is lightyears beyond an expert in his craft and truly cares to perform the greatest work possible all while treating you with white glove service.. Heston Graphics is a mix of old world craftsmanship with new era graphic art capabilities. The very best part is that care and service of yesteryear remains alive and well here.. pretty rare these days. I'm now brainstorming for projects that I can work with Heston Graphics on for my business as well. I know I found a home for special projects and I have no doubt that Lon's future works of art will always be nothing short of perfection. Thank you Lon. read more

I called Lan regarding a print job I had and though my project was not the right fit for him, he went above and beyond with helping me understand my options for my vision and even recommended a nearby printing shop. I'm impressed with his knowledge of printing and though I wish I could have gone with him for my project, I am sure he will be the right fit for someone else. Thanks Lan! read more

Lon Heston and I go back almost 30 years and the quality of the work is still amazing! I was glad he was still alive and well when I reached out to him for my business cards and recent invitations. Heston Graphics - Only person that can make a card like this....its on super thick card stock with a pressed foil into it. - Graphic Design Near Me - Newport Beach, California

Sure, there are marginally cheaper ways to get business cards printed. You could slave away for hours, banging your head against the wall of a clumsily made template/design tool from a big-box printing company, only to be rewarded with mediocre results. Or, you could just call Lon. If you're looking for amazing service and fantastic results tailored to your needs, Lon is the man for you. He's a seasoned veteran to the trade, as well as an amazing artist. I needed some business cards designed and printed quickly for my latest business. Lon whipped out an amazing design in short order, all while considering my vision and my needs. I couldn't have been happier with the results. I know I'll go to Heston graphics for my printing and design, and I recommend that you do the same. read more

Lon did a great job with my wedding invitations. Looking at the other reviews and photos, I wish I had the opportunity to have him design them, but I already had purchased a design. I'm glad that I went with him and definitely will recommend him to anyone that wants a extra special touch with their print and design. :) read more

Why didn't I think of that? Lon at Heston Graphics just completed my letterpress wedding invitations and I'm happy to say that the second I saw them I knew I went to the right place. Did I mention he completed it in a week? Yes, I am the last minute type so I picked up Crane paper and envelopes and the rest is a sweet, sweet memory. I game him an idea of what I was looking to do and the next thing I know he had the whole thing typeset and ready for my approval. I didn't make changes. They were perfect and I'm SUPER picky but he's a perfectionist. While there I was able to take a look at his current jobs and I have to say, next time I'm going for the foil printing. I thought letterpress was fancy, then he showed me the foil and oh là là, now that's fancy. I found him looking for business card to be printed for my boss. They were great and quick. Sure you could buy those cheap business cards online but that's exactly what they are, cheap and not the best first or lasting impression one should be leaving. If you are giving out your card, the odds are you have a job or expect to get paid for something. Be old school, wear a tie/skirt and have nice cards. I hope to see Lon in the future with more stationary jobs. read more

I have been doing business with Heston Graphics since the 1980's. They managed to survive every storm that has hit the industry since. That fact alone, is reason enough for me to trust them with my advertising and printing needs. Lon has SO much knowledge and expertise in printing and he has the MOST REFINED sense of artistry and color. I think of him as a walking, talking living piece of art himself. He has to be one of most kind and generous people I've had the pleasure to know. He recently helped me get some new business cards designed and made up. Each time I see them my heart smiles. They are leagues above anything that can be dreamed up on a Big Box Business Card site. If you want to stand out from the crowd, give Heston Graphics a call. read more

Where do I start! I miss old-school business with old-school service!! Lon was so amazing, patient, knowledgeable and fast! He really went above and beyond which you just don't see these days. I had five days to print amazing cards for a business trip and of course I wanted the highest quality in the least amount of time. He got the job done with the most impressive business cards and workmanship. I got compliments on my cards to everyone I handed them out to. He is such a cool guy & great to work with I will never go anywhere else! read more

Shambolic. I needed business cards for a business trip. There were nine errors on the first print proof and the final card was so late I was issued with temporary business cards. These temporary cards were poorly cut, leaving a black line on the front of each card. It was very embarrassing to meet new overseas clients and have to apologize for the state of my business cards. A terrible experience. read more

I have always received great service and printing from Lon over the years that I have worked with him. He is very savvy when it comes to marketing and printing suggestions. Our company has been in business for 104 years and our marketing materials looked just as old too. We needed someone who understood our business and the look we were going for. I found Lon via Yelp. I spoke at length with him on the phone and went to his shop. He showed me around and showed me the work that he does, I was sold instantly. We got new business cards, letterhead, envelopes, and folders. Lon laid out all of our options from paper choices, to emboss, to foiling, engraving etc. He explained the pros and cons of each and even let me take samples home. It was a process, but he held my hand the entire way through step by step. Our business couldn't be happier with the results, everything came out perfect. That's what happens when you do business with someone who is truly passionate about what they do for a living. read more

I was very happy with the quality of Lon's work and would utilize Heston's Graphics and recommend them to friends and colleagues. I told Lon I had a limited amount of time to get business cards made and he literally saved the day! In less than an 1 hour he created a spectacular business card. I could not have been happier. I went back to him a second time and once again I was up against a time deadline. Lon went above and beyond to assist me with what I needed and despite the fact that it was outside his regular business hours, he got the project done knowing I was in a time crunch. Once again, he produced a top notch product for me! Without a doubt I will rely on Lon for any further business printed materials and I would highly recommend him to anyone without hesitation. read more

Working with Lon from Heston Graphics was truly an outstanding experience. Lon is highly detail oriented, focused on excellence. He goes above and beyond what is expected. After an initial 5 minute phone conversation, it was clear that I was going to be in good hands. Lon walked me through what I was hoping to achieve and helped me clarify it into print terms. He worked with me to ensure that I was going to be very happy with the outcome of my project. Lon has a keen eye for design, and is able to take existing graphic specifications and tweak them to meet your final print need. When I had a project with a tight deadline, Lon ensured that he could deliver on time, and was true to his word. I would trust Lon and Heston Graphics with any project, whether it is a quick print job, or a detailed letterpress project that needs to adhere to a high quality and strict brand identity. I've worked with Lon now on letterpress business cards, retail hang tags, and logo branded note pads. I look forward to working with Lon and his team for years and projects to come. read more
