Will never rent through Hertz again. Any money saved was absolutely not worth the hassle. The biggest issue with this location was the complete lack of professionalism and consistency. The phone was rarely answered, and when it was, I was given contradictory information almost every single time I called. At pickup, a staff member who was training a new employee was extremely condescending and rude to him. It was uncomfortable to witness, and no employee deserves to be treated that way in front of customers. I was also given the wrong receipt at pickup. When I called this location to get the correct one, I was told they couldn't email or reprint it. I then called another location, and they emailed it to me immediately without any issue. When I needed to extend my rental, I called and was told by a staff member to "call back because he doesn't have time right now." When I called back, the same employee told me he couldn't process the extension and directed me to another number. When I called that number, I was told that the original rental location had to handle the extension. I called back and relayed this information, and suddenly the same employee was able to help. It was clear he simply did not want to deal with it initially. Another major issue was the store hours. Both the Hertz website and Google listed this location as open on Saturday, but when I arrived, no one was there. I even called another location to confirm, and they said the store should have been open. If the posted hours were incorrect or the store had to close unexpectedly, there should have been a note on the door instead of making customers waste time driving there and waiting. Getting my final drop off receipt was another unnecessarily frustrating process. I was told it had already been emailed when the rental was closed, but when I asked what email address it was sent to, no one could answer. I was then told they would email it, they didn't. The next day I called again and was told it would be sent by the end of the day, again, it wasn't. On another call, I was told they "didn't have time." Each time, I explained that I needed the receipt for insurance reimbursement. Eventually, I called corporate and had the receipt emailed to me while still on the phone, the entire process took less than five minutes. If staff genuinely don't have time to assist customers, they should direct them to someone who can. Customers should not have to repeatedly call for basic assistance. The lack of professionalism was also obvious during phone calls. More than once, I was told to "hold" without actually being placed on hold, which meant I could hear everything being said in the office. On one call, I heard a staff member say to another employee, "I don't have time to deal with this" in reference to my call. That is completely unacceptable customer service. Really terrible experience. The online quote was $300 off of what the actual price was, I was also not informed until after the fact that Hertz needs to hold an additional $200 to be able to give you the car. Also, if you don't awkwardly buy a short term futures contract for your gasoline from them, and don't drop off the car with a full tank you will be charged a totally reasonable, non-nazi-esque $10/gallon. If Hertz were a child, I would leave it in a mall. If Hertz were a door, I would kick it down and burn the forest it came from. If Hertz were a country, I would let George Bush govern it. Due to a Saturday pick up, we needed to get vehicle at airport, because, why be open on a Saturday?!? Called Wed to confirm actual vehicle we needed (stow and go) Oh we will call you back. NO CALL. Called Thurs to confirm. Yup have the vehicle here, no worries. Pick up vehicle. FILTHY and half a tank of gas!! Okay, fine, I take pics. We use vehicle. Add gas, and give them more gas than what I had gotten it with. Check bank for something else and notice they had CHARGED ME $30!!! I call on MONDAY to ask why and how this happened. Oh you didn't return full, well I didn't get it full and I have pics. Let me call you back. I wait 2 hours. NOTHING. I call again. Then I am directed to Park Ave location. Talk to someone who claims he is manager. Explain dirty car/half tank of gas. He is more interested in how dirty vehicle is. He will issue refund and will call me back. Sure, okay. I wait and call them on Tuesday. Spoke with a different person who also claimed to be manager. He checked, yeah, refund has been issued. Will take 7 days. Mind you I have YET to get an apology for charge, only for dirty car. The FOLLOWING Monday, still no refund in my bank. I call corporate office. They have absolutely NO RECORD OF ANYTHING regarding a refund or overcharge with this vehicle. NOTHING! They are sorry and will issue me a partial refund because I have to pay for airport use! There was NEVER any talk of that charge, and the vehicle was prepaid, we were told there would be NO additional charges. But sure, nickel and dime me for YOUR mistake. Great customer service there!! You are surely making me want to do business with your company again. Called Park Ave branch. Oh we submitted that. WHAT IS THE HOLD UP? Waiting on Regional manager to sign off. If I can do 0 stars I would Hertz is awful here I will never use Hertz rental car from here... I had an issue with my rental car that I picked up from another location that was about an hour and half away... I called the 800 number and they told me to go to this location no one is answering but they see cars on their Lot ... also I tried to call two times .... no answer ... when we arrived no one was there and one of the other car companies had to text her down... Stacey said no one called and that no one told me you were coming we only have one car on the lot... the one car they had had the check engine light come on and service light came on... now I have a car making noises and you want me to exchange for that... no thank you... I asked about another car that was next to it n she said I don't have anything I said there is a ford in a hertz spot she said no that's the other companies they take my spots ... well hertz maybe you need to tell the other companies park else where for your cars... then She started to argue with us like it's our fault... she then got on the phone with her manager and said it did rain it probably is that reason that the tires are grinding but they wanna speak with you... so rude And they made me feel so u comfortable We walked out and said I'm over this no point to waste more of my day and time... read more

The holidays are already a chaotic time without customer service employees intentionally trying to sabotage your holiday. I made a reservation for a 7 passenger vehicle and when we arrived the employee (I honestly can't recall her name for the life of me but I am more than willing to provide confirmation of my rental to prove I did in fact engage with her) was already complaining about messed up rentals. The amount I was quoted when I made my rental reservation was $200 more (not the $200 hold) and when I attempted to contact Hertz to rectify the situation, she immediately became annoyed. There was no manager on site or available for me to speak with through the Hertz customer service number. Unfortunately due to the unexpected increase and my maximum credit card limit I was unable to use the credit card I originally planned on using and she accused me of PHISING. All documentation and identification I provided has my information which I was willing to verify but she continued to treat me as though I was attempting to be fraudulent in some way AND I am a Hertz's Gold Member. She went on to threaten to give our rental reservation away as we were taking too long. Because we were traveling out of state (MA to GA) and other rental agencies were charging thousands of dollars for days opposed to our planned two weeks due to the last minute nature, I kept my reservation. I presented her with my debit card and authorized her to hold as much as necessary to which she responded with an attitude "this is pending a credit approval". At that point I was unable to continue engaging with her appropriately and my sister completed the transaction. She ran my debit card and got the keys together and handed them to my sister without even acknowledging I was "approved". She ended the conversation by stating "didn't even really run a check, you must've rented from us before". I've been a customer of Hertz for a very long time and again I am a Gold Member and I've never been so disappointed, embarrassed and annoyed related to the way I was treated by another person. If it weren't for the amazing interaction I had with another Hertz's employee (at another location; which I'll also be writing a review about) I would NEVER use Hertz again but I will certainly NEVER rent from Hertz in Worcester MA at the Worcester Airport EVER AGAIN!! read more

i would rate no stars if possible. been twice and no agent is ever at the desk. apparently they give all their rentals to thrifty and budget since they leave early on weekends (early meaning 12pm) while their website allows retals to be booked through 4pm at this location. horrible customer service, rent from literally anyone else. read more

I had the worst experience ever renting a car on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at the Hertz location at Worcester Regional Airport location in Worcester, Massachusetts. Let me start by saying have been renting cars from Hertz around the country for several years now and have had nothing but outstanding experiences, this however was not one of them. My reservation was for a full sized car and was scheduled for pickup at 12:00pm EST on September 14. On my way to Worcester Airport to pick up the car I received a call at 11:35am from an associate. She was calling to advise that my reservation would not be ready until after 12:30 and asked if I minded waiting or if I wanted I could take a Compact Car. I advised her that I was on my way to the airport and would work it out with her when I arrived. I had a very important meeting in Basking Ridge, New Jersey that I needed to get to so this delay was not going to work for me. I arrived at the Hertz rental counter in the terminal at the airport at 11:50 a.m. When I got to the desk there was no one there, I figured that she would be right along and didn't think much of it. After 5 to 10 minutes of waiting I knocked on the door behind the desk but no one answered. I then decided to try calling the telephone number for this location (508)753-7203, when I called the number it rang and rang and rang some more. A message told me that a call was being transferred to the receptionist but again no one answered the phone and it just continued to ring. At this point in time an employee from the Avis Rental Car desk advised me that he had sent Tanya a text message that I was at the desk waiting for her, this was approximately 12:05pm EST. After another 10 minutes of waiting at the desk an employee from the Jet Blue counter can over to speak to me and said I haven't seen Tanya for a bit let me give her a call and see if I can track her down. The Jet Blue employee called her several times and finally got an answer, he advised that she was on her way. I thanked him for his assistance and told him to have a nice day. At 12:23pm Tanya returned to the counter and the first thing she said to me was "Did you look at the car?" I replied "Look at the car? I have been standing at the desk for 35 minutes waiting to be helped, what car I am supposed to look at." Tanya's response to me was "I haven't even been gone 35 minutes so no you haven't been waiting that long." The tone of her voice was confrontational and unprofessional to say the least. I repeated myself that "I had been standing at the desk since 11:50, and I said I told you on the phone I would be here in a few minutes and would work the delay out then." Her reply to me was "Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaah and I told you the car wouldn't be here until after 12:30." Again this was said to me in a very confrontational manner. She then said "Well what do you want me to do?" to which I replied "Give me the keys to the Toyota Corolla you said that you had and give me your managers name and number, I have a meeting to get to and this delay is putting me in a tough spot." She proceeded to give me the rental agreement and keys to the Toyota Corolla and told me it was in stall number 4, again with a great deal of attitude. At this point I took the keys and went out to the car and was shaking with anger, but at the same time I was happy to leaving the airport terminal. I proceeded to call her manager and left a message with an employee named Lauren at the Park Ave Worcester MA location and asked her to have him call me back in the next day or two. Lauren asked what happened so I explained and she said she would absolutely have the manager call me back and confirmed my telephone number to call me back at. Lauren by the way could not have been friendlier or more helpful when I spoke with her. To this point I still have yet to receive a call from the manager. This whole experience was hands down the worst customer service I have received from an employee in any industry and writing this to tell you what happened is only making me angry again. This problem could have been easily avoided, if she had simply been at the desk in the airport and said I'm really sorry that this is taking place, here are your options. Not only did she never even remotely apologize to me the situation but she made it far worse by presenting a confrontational attitude toward me. To add insult I was charged the full price of the compact car $59 per day even though I had reserved the full size car.
