I have learned it is best to talk to a person then to reserve online, specially when it comes to moving all of your belongings out of State to your new home, try and leave no room for error. I spoke to this wonderful lady who assured me there would be no problem with reservation to pick up 26' truck in Southbridge on 11/28 for 8AM. Great took my confirmation # and continued to line up the movers to help load and unload truck. I had plans on calling UHAUL on 11/27 to confirm everything and was pleasantly surprised to get a call from the North Oxford UHAUL location. I answered with I was just thinking about calling you to confirm when the women said she does not have 26' truck for me. I responded incredibly surprised with I reserved this a week ago and I am just getting a call today??? Her response was you did not reserve with me, so I have no truck for you. I responded with I reserved this with UHAUL, are you not UHAUL. Her response was I did not reserve with her and she has not truck but will call the main #. Ok, by now you can imagine my blood pressure rising. I am scheduled to meet hired movers to load my truck the following day for me to drive 300 plus miles to meet another set of hired helpers to unload my truck and I have NO FREAKING TRUCK!!!!!!!! I call the 800 number for you UHAUL I am on hold for about 18 mins. when was I pretty much told that I made a reservation to have 26' truck reserved in the nearest location to my request and they have until 6PM to get this set up? I responded with seriously no one once told me that my reservation that I made a week ago means NOTHING until 24 hours prior to my pickup time and date. And then I might just get a there is nothing we can do an we do not have a truck for you because this is what the policy is with UHAUL on one way rentals... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!! I was giving the regional # and was told they have never called at 6PM and have had to cancel a reservation for not having to locate a truck. Now my fiancé is on the phone trying locate a 26' truck with another truck rental company. Guess what? He found one with Penske who informed them they get calls like his frequently from UHAUL customers, seriously?? Yup, we got a reservation for 11/28 @8AM and the women stated we will not charge your card until you pick up the truck and even if UHAUL calls back with a truck she recommends not canceling until we have keys in our hands due to how unreliable UHAUL has become. Now in the meantime I get a voice message from a UHAUL dealer in Milford, NH. YES, MILFORD NH a 1 hour and 45 mins away from me to pick up truck at 11 AM on 11/28 ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS??? UHAUL had 1 week to get this reservation in order but they wait until the last wakening hour to throw it together at my expense. I politely told them to tell UHAUL to shove it up their @$$ and explained to the young man he did nothing wrong this is all UHAUL's fault and I hope he takes great pleasure in delivering the message. I then called the Regional Office, again. And Erica took my call with not a slight bit of disbelief when I explained this is BS that I have drive 2 hours out of my way to pick up a truck they knew was needed a week ago in the area. She states we only said we would reserve closest to your requested area. Nope that was never said, and I requested her to listen to my conversation I had when making this reservation. Cause I would have NEVER agreed to this. I would have found a solid reservation not a closet to you BS that they are trying sell. I again knowing the calls are recorded stated they can shove it up their @$$ and to be certain this is canceled. So, please never ever consider renting from UHAUL, DO NOT DO IT, RUN FAR AWAY Go with PENSKE!

Truck was redlining down hills when I had weight in the truck and engine or transmission could easily blow with truck not shifting properly. Truck was shaking erratically to the point I thought I was going to need to get towed away. I'd been a customer for 6 years and honestly never had issues with their customer service and reliability until the past year. They don't deliver on time with the automatic delivery program anymore and let customers get well below 25% and empty. My tank is below 25% for the first time ever and when I asked for delivery status I'm lied to and told it's coming on x day. The day passes and they don't come. I called their 24/7 line because I'm now nearing empty and was told unless I'm empty to call back during business hours. Wait until empty for oil is just an illogically dumb response. Everybody should look elsewhere for oil and propane whether you are an existing customer or new. They are a sinking ship.

In the conference, by both of them, I was told "Unless there is a golden calf in the living room your invoice will not increase." on several occasions I asked the broker to speak with the movers and I got the runaround and basically got one phone call an hour before they were supposed to be there from Ideal Movers. in this phone call before the movers even got to my mother's condo they were trying to hustle me for more money, talk over me, steamroll me and intimidate me. Once they were all there they stayed for three hours in their truck arguing with me and it went from bad to worse. They tried to con my uncle into signing an acceptance invoice that they would do the job for $6000 after I refused to pay $8000, and then tried to con me and into sending a text message that I canceled. They told me I would never see my deposit back from the broker and that they had other jobs the next day when they were supposed to be working in my mother's condo that weekend packing and loading their truck. At one point they attempted a $5542 proposal to take only one bedroom of furniture, a few Pyrex bowls and a coffee table. This moving company is a complete scam, the owner is in Israel and good luck reaching him. It is a felony to attempt to coerce and threaten a federal employee. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau as it was such a traumatic and unprofessional experience rife with racketeering schemes to intimidate and extort money-- particularly out of women.
