They were wonderful to deal with. The bad: The truck was pretty old. The drivers seat was slashed, some of the buttons on the dash were broken or missing. The tire pressure indicator light was on even though the tire pressure was fine. If you can live with a less than perfect vehicle Budget is fine and these guys are great. They sent a mechanic out to "fix" the trailer... 80 miles down the road the SAME wheel snapped off AGAIN. We sat on the shoulder of a major highway for 5 HOURS because the agent told us we could not leave the trailer to move to a safe spot or we would be liable for all damages, what type of business is that? Risking customers safety? Awful. If you care about you and your family's safety, stay away. After speaking to over 15 agents and being told we would get a refund after drop off.. of course, you guessed it we get a different story. Every rep had something different to say.

I was in an accident that totaled my car. Left without a vehicle my insurance gave me 11 days with a rental car and sent me to xpress. The front desk staff was very nice and the car was clean and barely used. Very nice. But the issue came with what happened after. When discussing with the front desk woman about when I needed to return the car she said "we will call you when your days are up and you can return the car and if you don't hear from us then the insurance is still covering you" I received a phone call yesterday saying I needed to bring the car back. I told her if I could keep it for one extra day so I could pick my significant other up from the airport. She said not a problem. I dropped the car off this morning with a full tank of gas and she informed me that I was being charged for 4 days of rental since the car was kept passed the amount the insurance would cover. Very upset I told her I didn't have the 200 plus dollars to cover right now. She told me that it's not a big deal and she would send a bill in the mail. Well on my return home in my ride, I checked my email and my credit card alerted me (the one the rental company had on file) was attempting to charge me the full amount. Called the place immediately and she told me she didn't do it and they have no record of the charge. But it could be the owner trying to do it at another location. And she would call me immediately back. Well it's been close to 4 hours and my card has been alerted again. DONT TRUST THEM. ITS A BIG SCAM!!!!

I currently have a rental vehicle from the Salem, NH location and was hoping to upgrade to a larger vehicle. Unfortunately, the Salem location did not have anything available and is closed Saturday and Sunday, so I decided to contact Haverhill to see if they could assist. Jen answered the phone, and I explained my situation. Without asking for my name, reservation information, or even what vehicle I am currently driving, she immediately told me, "We don't have anything bigger." I pointed out that she had not asked what vehicle I currently had, so I was unclear how she could determine that nothing larger was available. I then simply asked what vehicles they currently had available. She responded that they only had electric vehicles. When I asked what type of electric vehicle was available, she asked if I could hold. I said yes, and I was placed on hold for over an hour now while I'm writing this review. To the manager at that location. JEN does not deserve her job and should not be dealing with customers. She does not represent your company the way I think you want your company to be represented.

Once I spoke with someone they replaced and upgraded the car for my rental while my work was done. They where extremely friendly and apologetic made the exchange possible without extra charges. Pros they have a geico program with key collision in which they bring the car to you right away. No wait and just a swap of keys. Since i got the car on Friday and they closed Saturday before I got a hold of them I didn't exchange the car till today and then my car was actually all done so I didn't enjoy the better rental with the new car smell.
