DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, it is NOT worth the few dollars you save. They lent me a trailer that should not have passed inspection. The wheel snapped right off the studs while we were driving due to "being overtorqued by one of the techs" - their own words. They sent a mechanic out to "fix" the trailer... 80 miles down the road the SAME wheel snapped off AGAIN. We sat on the shoulder of a major highway for 5 HOURS because the agent told us we could not leave the trailer to move to a safe spot or we would be liable for all damages, what type of business is that? Risking customers safety? Awful. If you care about you and your family's safety, stay away. After speaking to over 15 agents and being told we would get a refund after drop off.. of course, you guessed it we get a different story. Every rep had something different to say. read more

This is by far one of the most frustrating and disappointing rental situations I have ever experienced. I would seriously recommend going elsewhere for a truck rental if you want to maintain your sanity. First, myself and my two helpers showed up promptly at opening time to pick up the 16 foot box truck I rented days prior, and the only two vehicles in the parking lot were two 12 foot trucks. MAJOR MAJOR inconvenience--why make a reservation if the item you're reserving won't be available anyway? Second, after going through a lengthy and emotion-filled process to get to the point we could take the seriously-inadequate 12-foot truck, myself and my two helpers go out to the truck only to find the sales associate had given us the keys to the truck with only 2 seats, as opposed to the other truck which had 3 seats, when he had clearly just seen there were 3 of us in for the rental. When we approached him to ask for the keys to the other truck he gave a lot of attitude about how a truck with three seats isn't guaranteed and the truck with three seats doesn't have any gas. Meanwhile, on top of this, the associate is "assisting" a customer who appears to be hearing-impaired as they are writing on a piece of paper to communicate. The associate then begins taking his frustration out verbally and starts shouting at the other customer who continues to express that he is unable to speak with him or understand what he is saying. Totally unacceptable. The final outcome was that we had to wait over an hour to take a much smaller truck than the truck we had reserved in advance and with a much higher blood pressure than we had arrived with. read more

I am certainly not one to bash a business but I will literally NEVER use Budget Car Rental EVER. I booked a 26' moving truck on 12/20, 2 full weeks ahead of time, received multiple confirmation emails, etc. Went down to Methuen today to pick up and they say "I don't have a 26' truck, haven't had one for months." The guy calls customer service as we're calling other Budget places in the area and I tell him "I know this isn't your fault so I'm not going to take it out on you but this is unacceptable". To which he replies, "yeah well, it's your responsibility to call customer service but I'm trying to help, I have a lot of shit to do and this is taking up my time". Like ok guy, maybe you should have called me since you KNEW I was coming and KNEW you haven't had the truck "for months". Budget's Customer Service said "sorry for the inconvenience, well have someone call you back within 2 hours". Please tell me how that's helpful at all when you say you have no trucks available in that size?! RUDE. Inconsiderate. Terrible customer service. Luckily I got the same size truck for the same time from UHaul at half the price (Budget was going to charge $530 and UHaul charged $250) read more

Budged lie to me they are advertising 30% off and I booked a car for 1 month when I finalize the deal online, they charged me for a full price. So, when I try to cancel they saying a $50 charge will be charged to my CC. Now I canceled 38 minutes after I reserved this car. My reservations still far way April 1 to May 1. I'll pay the 50 bucks, but I am going to contact Better BBB. They don't know me I'll show them who am I. read more

I reserved and paid for a 7 passenger weeks in advance. I get there and I'm told my vehicle isn't available but there is a "Nissan Altima with a check engine light" that I could rent. The very least they could have done was called me so I didn't have to drive 30 mins there and 30 mins back for no reason. I was told the only other option was for me to drive another 30 mins to Manchester Airport where they would had a 7 passenger vehicle available but it would cost extra. I called that location to confirm and of course that turned out to be untrue as they were sold out. Not having my reservation available is bad but not having the Courtsey to call me beforehand is inexcusable. If I was given some notice I may have been able to make alternate plans and salvage my trip. read more

Worst customer service experience. We booked a truck online and went to pick it up and was told that they didn't have any trucks for us. Didn't believe that we had placed an order online. We told him we had a confirmation number and once he found it, he didn't apologize and just said, "well I didn't see it". My husband had to call Uhaul who actually apologized for our inconvenience and were kind enough to assist. I then called customer service for Budget to cancel my order and was met with the same disconnect. Apparently no one at Budget seems to care that we had to spend half our morning finding a truck instead of actually moving. read more

This shop is great and let me tell you why :I would give it five stars but I'm taking one away for the way budget handles their customers on the phone I've never experienced such incompetence. Salief & Vlad are hard-working guys and they do everything they can to accommodate you. It's a small shop and it's my belief that budget overwhelms them. I went in bitching with a bad attitude and they didn't fire back but I realized I was such a jerk and went back later to apologize. they couldn't believe someone would come back to apologize for a bad attitude. I highly recommend the shop and if you thank you had a bad experience it's possible that it was coming from you. read more

The good: The representatives were very friendly and helpful. They went over the paperwork thoroughly, marked every single scratch on the proper forms so I wouldn't be charged for them on return, explained the Plate Pass and ensured that it was on. They were wonderful to deal with. The bad: The truck was pretty old. The drivers seat was slashed, some of the buttons on the dash were broken or missing. The tire pressure indicator light was on even though the tire pressure was fine. If you can live with a less than perfect vehicle Budget is fine and these guys are great. If you want the car to have no problems you should try another company. read more

STAY AWAY...FAR FAR AWAY!! GO TO ENTERPRISE IN LAWRENCE! If I could give this place zero stars I would. Stay away!!! I have never in my life been so threatened and coerced, and blindsided by a service company. And I have traveled all over the world and rented cars all over the world. STAY AWAY!! I rented a car for 2 weeks, mine was in the shop. They gave me the car dirty and it had bird droppings on the windshield. They said they couldn't wash cars there because of the restaurant. So, me trying to be accommodating, I said OK. I took the car to a car wash because the bird poop was gross. I should have known better. When I brought it back they said that the car was excessively dirty and they would charge me 250 if I didn't go vacuum it. I HAD TO VACUUM the car right in front of the rental place!!! Under threat of a 250 dollar fee! My whole rental fee was $800!!! You'd think they'd be a little more accommodating when a client is spending so much money on your business. The contract said no smoking or excessive dirt. I had taken my dogs to the vet that morning. It was the only time I had them in the car, so there was some dog hair. It took me 3 minutes to vacuum it up. The guy said that he determined what was excessive and that my car was excessively dirty. It was dirty when I got it...but that's not excessive. I was never told that I couldn't have pets in the car, it didn't say anywhere in the paperwork that pets were not allowed. So, after I vacuum the other guy goes and looks, and comes back and says "its still filthy" I keep my cars clean rented or not. I took all the trash out of the car and made sure I wasn't leaving things in it. That's how I would want a car returned. read more

The worst service ever! To think, your actually your gonna go pick up your rental car... And they say all 3 of your cards are declined, and say it was at fault on our cards when in reality it was their technology. The worst! I highly recommend Enterprise! They gave us a rental car in less than 10 minutes with no problems! I do not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Don't count on getting the car you reserved. However, the staff did everything they could to get us a comparable rental. They were very courteous. The reservation system Budget has set up is unreliable. Pricing was very good. Checkout was efficient. read more
