She went above and beyond by giving me great advice on which areas are safe, where to eat, and where to have a good time during my stay. She was warm, personable, and we even bonded because her son is joining the military and I served for about eight years myself. I was able to share some advice and experiences, and it truly felt like talking to a friend, not just a rental agent. Erin was my return agent, and she made that process just as smooth. She was super nice, extremely helpful, and even caught that I had left a few items in the vehicle--something I tend to do since I'm forgetful. Her attentiveness and hospitality really stood out. Both Shar and Erin represent Alamo/National with professionalism and genuine care for customers. I left feeling taken care of, and I highly recommend this location!

I didn't have to wait at all when I got the car and my gas was even comped upon returning! Plus it was very affordable. My first time renting through Alamo and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

I made a reservation for a vehicle from Budget's fleet and was able to utilize a discount through USAA. The store is small and is near Randall's in the Silverlake Village Shopping Center. They're open daily, though they have limited hours on the weekends. The inside looks like it hasn't been updated since the height of the pandemic. There's only 3 chairs spaced 6 feet apart and they have huge plexiglass barriers in front of the counter. The reflection from the windows and plexiglass made it difficult to actually see the service agent. Michael was the employee who helped me when I picked up the car and dropped it off. I reserved an intermediate sized vehicle (Toyota Corolla or equivalent). Michael gave me a 2025 Mazda CX-50. It only had 300 miles on it and still had the new car smell. The owner's manual hadn't even been opened! This car was extremely nice and drove really well. Michael went over the guidelines of the rental including potential fees. I had initially rented for 4 days, however he extended it to 5 days. I was under the impression that I had until the end of the week as he informed me that it would be due on Friday at noon. It wasn't until I had dropped off the car and paid that I noticed that the due date was actually on Thursday, not Friday. When I returned the car on Friday morning, he told me he thought I was bringing the car back the night before. I told him that I thought it was due on Friday and he said that it was, and I brought it back on time. When I reviewed the itemized receipt, I saw that I was charged an extra day plus the late fee. I don't know if this was an honest mistake, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. As nice as he was, it was incredibly annoying to discover the late fee. I should have double checked the paperwork instead of taking his word, so that's ultimately on me. If it weren't for the mix up on the return date and subsequent late fee charge, this experience would be 5 stars. If I rent again from this location, I'll be sure to take a closer look at the due date.

Everything went smoothly I even provided all the needed information for my reservation including my age. I asked about the under 25 fee she told me there wasn't one. When I went to check out in the morning with Michael he was rude and non understanding. They didn't have any vehicles available but why would the women book my reservation for 8:30 if they had nothing inventory. Partially because he just didn't seem to want to do his job. Because when my mother called after I got back to her vehicle his tone and demeanor was completely different than when I spoke with him in person. I came back after my first shift to pick up now what's possibly available sedan. He gave me the run around about using debit. As well as credit. I will not give my business here as long as he works there. The communication between the team is poor. 0/10. I would not recommend this place to any of my neighbors here in Pearland .

I booked with this company through Priceline with the last minute decision to go out of town for my birthday. Little did I know that this would be a nightmare from hell. First and foremost the location is hard to find. They don't even have a sign on the road indicating where they are located! Secondly the customer service is horrific. The so-called manager is a joke and very rude. While booking I was informed that since I am a local I have less privileges than someone from out of town. Apparently, if you are a resident in Houston you are only limited to 750 miles along with all this additional proof of car rental insurance. None of this is mentioned prior to booking just so that is clear. I found this is hilarious because if I was from another state I wouldn't be required to provide these documentations , or be limited on mileage. After going back and forth with the manager and calling the customer service line, nothing was resolved. Customer service were just as incompetent as the people at the location. This is absurd because, once again, none of it is listed on their website. So now I'm having to file a dispute with my credit card company because I was never given a rental car due to foolish requirements and priceline not wanting to take ownership. I will never return back to this unprofessional, incompetent, and Shady business. They should not be in business.     I rented the car rental on 6/25/24 under my insurance. I had to pay the deposit in which the…read moredirector of the location, Rick, had me pay the $50 in which was suppose to include the tolls pass as well. Rick befriended me, we texted the entire time i had the rental. He never provided me with my rental agreement either. But when all this hit the fan he tried to disregard anything i had to say! Throughout the month of having the rental Rick's assistant, Datiana Williams, charged my card an extra $110 and $80 after i spoke with her and let her know i was under car insurance they should be handling the situation. Before i could call my insurance she charged my credit card anyway. I did not authorize the charge and my credit card company flagged my account and closed my credit card due to the charges. I tried to rectify with Hertz and was given the run around. The charges were pending for a month after i returned the rental on 7/22/24. On 8/12/24 i was sent an invoice with charges for tolls for $49 and a convenience fee $59. I reached out to Hertz toll company who transferred me to billing , who then transferred me to the manager, Rick, at the hertz location. I once again explained the situation to him he then hung up in my face. I drove to the Hertz location to get the situation rectified and Rick had me removed from the store for trespassing after asking for his bosses number and or Corporate because he claimed there was nothing he could do although billing and the tolls company said he was the only person who could help with the rental agreement. He denied me access to corporate and his bosses contact information. I am black and given Rick having the cops remove me for a mistake they made could have caused me my life or anything! This has been a complete hardship of my funds and caused emotional distress. No one should be treated this way after a company's mistake. BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION HERTZ IN PEARLAND!

Not wanting to inconvenience my family due to them possibly being busy, I decided it would be best to rent a car. I was able to make a reservation for a car while exiting the airport, which I found to be very convenient. When I came out the terminal, the shuttle for the car rental place was already outside and ready to take me to the location. Once I got to the rental location, I approached the desk and gave the customer service rep my ID and reservation number. Once the rep found my info, I was told that I was too early for the reservation and needed to wait. No problem...understandable. After about 20 minutes, I was allowed to come back up to the desk to process my rental. The rep I dealt with was pleasant and gave me a good recommendation on somewhere to eat. Everything was going well until it came time to authorize my car rental purchase. Once I inserted my card, everything was confirmed and approved. By the way, please make sure you have a credit card for the rental. I saw at least two people come in with debit cards not be allowed to get their rental. Here's where the issue occurred. Somewhere in the rep's process, it was discovered that I had a rental car out in their system. I confirmed to the rep that I have a rental through Avis back home that I was using for business purposes. Once this was discovered, a manager was alerted of the matter. The manager stated the only way I could get the rental would be if I had another driver on the vehicle. Since I was traveling by myself, I was not allowed to get the rental. No problem...understandable. Seeing that the authorization on my card went through, I asked the rep when the authorization would be removed so that I could attempt to rent from another company. The rep stated that they didn't process anything so nothing should've went through. Houston...we have a problem and it's not understandable. I advised the rep there absolutely was a charge that went through and I needed to know when it would be gone. They stated it should be cleared after midnight. Unfortunately, the authorization is still on my card and I wound up utilizing rideshare companies the whole weekend to get around. It was a great inconvenience to what I wanted to do. I don't know the process for getting reservations done, but something needs to be instituted that prevents this from happening to anyone else again. I probably could've went to another place, but my time had already been soured by the experience. I hope this finds the right department so that this step could be implemented.
