This is an unauthorized claim, I spoke with Geico and they confirmed it. I called the local office and spoke with two people who said that this is a training facility. Case in point the employees don't even know what they're doing. I spoke with the manager and he said he's only been there for two months and didn't know how to help he said. When I want to rent a car, I usually go with Budget (since I'm on a Budget), and I've had slightly better experiences overall with them than Avis, but honestly I do think they are the same company. If you want to rent a car near Memorial City, this is a good option for you as Avis/Budget is cheaper than most, and usually they have a car similar to what I need... But having said that it can be a really shady company, and if things go wrong well good luck because you probably on your own. You'll even be charged more for their own cars breaking down.

After all was said and done, the drive to this location was completely worth it. The customer service was extraordinary which is something that is hard to come by it seems. The gentleman who helped me was so straightforward and quick but he was also funny and nice. Clearly a really good guy. And if that wasn't enough, the car we rented was great. He gave us a free upgrade and the car was clean and comfortable. On top of that, the price was really great, a good $100 less than the major competitor. Normally, I am never in need of a local Rental Car, though about midway through October 2021... well, I found myself in need of one. Going online, I was dismayed at the lack of cars in the area - then I was quoted by Hertz $721 for a Honda Accord 4-Door through the weekend (and I had to keep it the WHOLE weekend). You read that right. Budget at IAH wanted $832 for a little Toyota Corolla for the whole weekend. Budget? That broke the bank. Not knowing what to do, I thought to myself "Is there a local solution?" and "Surely, the national chains cannot be on the only ones!" and wouldn't you know it - I found this gem that is Elite Rent A Car of Houston, Texas. I was able to turn the car in within 24 hours, they had inventory, and it was only about $184 all-in with tax, etc. for the rental. And add to this - the car was phenomenal. Clean, awesome, and a very nice late model large SUV. And I was allowed to bring it back in 24 hours. Talk about nice. I ran a lot of errands that needed running for my family, and in the end, Elite Rent A Car made it happen. From the initial phone call with Elaine to everyone involved (Juan, Miguel, and Team) the process was fast, friendly, and fun. I was in and out with speed and without worry. The office was nicely located over on Westheimer near the Beltway (meaning I did not have to drag my booty up to an airport - which was the only place Hertz, Budget, and Enterprise had cars at, increasing their rates substantially with Airport Fees) and conveniently located across from a very inexpensive gas station. In short, the entire team was a gem to work with at Elite Rent A Car, they called me when the car arrived earlier than expected and that was an added touch. Loved everything about the experience, and I encourage anyone needing a rental in Houston to pass up on the bloated, overpriced nonsense of the national chain houses and always count on Elite Rent A Car! They were a bit busy on departure day, so my ride was about 45 minutes late. They were very apologetic for this, and upgraded me to a brand new Dodge Ram truck for my journey (I had rented an economy car per company travel policy). The truck was clean, it ran great, and now I want one much to my wife's chagrin! When I returned the truck, they had me back at work within minutes. Both on pickup and return, the staff was courteous and knowledgeable about Enterprise and its process. Based on this experience, this will be my Enterprise location for Houston rentals going forward.

I didn't know how long my repair was going to take and I needed a car to get home. So, I made a reservation online to pick up a car here. Within a few minutes, I received a voicemail saying deposit is $300 and other tips. The repair ended up being on the same day. I called to ask if I can change my contract but the office was closed. I waited till 10 am Saturday and they still haven't called. I went to the office, it was packed. I thought okay. No change and I'll return it on Monday. There seems to be some staffing shortage at this office. One person handles everything in the office. I saw 2 people moving cars in the lot. Returning my car was a breeze. I had to make sure that I bought gas. The vehicle had no issues. I had to take some pictures of the scratches and made sure they were aware. Because I didn't get an inspection report beforehand. My deposit was returned back to my bank account. I don't mind coming back but I'll check out other Enterprises first. It's hard to drive into the lot.

I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up, eventually had the car brought over to find the tire pressure monitoring sensor was on, but that model didn't show the actual pressure. Went back in, they took the car and then brought it back with the same error showing and said it was fine to drive. Not to mention the exterior of the car was very dirty, with a couple half-hearted swipes with a rag it looked like. About 3 hours into my trip, I got rear ended at a stop light in a small town in Texas. Police showed up asking for insurance information that I wasnt on my car rental agreement. I spent the next hour being bounced around National's hellscape that is their customer service departments. No one has access to the info I needed, but they were happy to keep sending me to another department or giving me another phone number to call. Finally, the officer said don't worry about it, you aren't at fault. National can figure out the insurance side and let me go. Then I got to spend another 45 minutes trying to find out what National wanted me to do with the damaged vehicle I was now stuck with. I was told that the nearest location I could swap it out was at a small regional airport an hour out of my way. But not to worry they would call ahead and set everything up. When I arrived, the clerk and manager had no idea who I was and that they had no vehicles to rent for THREE OR FOUR HOURS. I still had 3 hours to drive and it was 6pm by now and I had a job to get early the next morning. This delay ended up with my being late for that job and having to cancel my flight and instead drive 8 hours to my next assignment. I called National AGAIN to try to switch to a more comfortable vehicle, was told again to go to another branch and they would set everything up. You can guess what happened next, that branch had no idea who I was and had nothing available. I have not heard back from National regarding any of this, any contact has been on my part chasing them around and receiving noncommital "apologies".
