Basically, 7-10 days after I turned the car in, I received a text saying that there was damage. A picture was attached of a small black blemish (less than an inch) and there was a bill for about $100. As I say, the location had been in possession of the car for over a week and had accrued additional miles on the vehicle (driving around, another rental, etc.). I had not caused any damage so I wanted to, of course, protest this charge. I could not get anybody to return any calls or e-mails. Within a few more weeks, I received a another correspondence out of the blue that randomly bumped up the damage payment to $700 with no explanation. Again, very difficult to get in touch with the correct people at Hertz to discuss or resolve - it was a nightmare and took hours and hours of my time. Eventually, the issue was resolved at Hertz Corporate but only after months of Hertz trying to have me pay the claim. The whole experience completely changed my view of Hertz and, in particular, of this particular location. The people at this Hertz location are on the lookout to screw you - please beware if renting here.

I didn't know how long my repair was going to take and I needed a car to get home. So, I made a reservation online to pick up a car here. Within a few minutes, I received a voicemail saying deposit is $300 and other tips. The repair ended up being on the same day. I called to ask if I can change my contract but the office was closed. I waited till 10 am Saturday and they still haven't called. I went to the office, it was packed. I thought okay. No change and I'll return it on Monday. There seems to be some staffing shortage at this office. One person handles everything in the office. I saw 2 people moving cars in the lot. Returning my car was a breeze. I had to make sure that I bought gas. The vehicle had no issues. I had to take some pictures of the scratches and made sure they were aware. Because I didn't get an inspection report beforehand. My deposit was returned back to my bank account. I don't mind coming back but I'll check out other Enterprises first. It's hard to drive into the lot.

I had already been renting a car from this Budget location years. He took the keys, and he wouldn't let me unload everything I had in my car. What an asshole. Don't rent from this Budget location. There are plenty of other good Car Rental locations in 77063. Then they had someone in their Customer Service Department call me to ask what happened. Why? Nothing was going to get done about it. Umar runs the place so would they even call me. Also, any maintenance issues that occur, you have to pay for them yourself. Other Car Rental locations have National Accounts with places like Firestone, and NTB where you get all the maintenance done for free. Not so at Budget. If you're smart, you will spend your money at another Car Rental Company. I just hope the other Budget locations don't have employees as rude as Umar.
