I had an amazing experience with Akama and its owner Edikan. Very friendly, professional, courteous, and they know the city. The owner personally provided a courtesy shuttle to the airport (in a Lambo Urus)after only a 2 day rental!! What exotic car rental company does this!? They also have a very respected name in the cities they operate. The most desired hotels live working with them. They've even been featured on local news. I am a University Of Houston Alumni and I participated in a raffle for a free rental from Akama Lifestyle for the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship. Luckily I was one of the winners and I was able to get a free rental for the day. I contacted Edikan (the owner) and Jay (staff member) and they told me to come in to get set up. I arrived at the place and was impressed with the accommodations and the quality of their cars! I told them what day I wanted to rent and let me select which car I wanted out of what was available that day! I was able to take the Audi R8 out for the day and treat my girl for a nice lunch! It's taken me a while to get to this review, but I got married back in September and we had reserved a white 21 cullinan as a rental for my wedding entrance. As a bride, you want to think everything that has been reserved will ultimately be there and ready the day of the wedding, but this place caused me such a big headache that even after several months it still makes my blood boil. The date of pickup, my brother goes to pick up the car and they had him wait for hours because the previous rental hasn't returned the car. They kept telling him excuses and I ultimately got on the phone with them and they said a basketball player had rented the car the night before and they couldn't do anything about it, leaving me a bride on her wedding day with other incomparable options to settle for. We ended up getting another car rental for them for a reduced price, but man, my whole mood was changed because of how unprofessional they were, how much time they wasted for other people in the wedding party, and how little they cared about doing anything to ensure the car booked for my wedding was actually there. I wouldn't advise booking them for something important, but if you want a last minute car rental that won't bother you if you get it or not, why not. read more
