I recently shopped all of Bellingham for the materials to build my new deck, and happily purchased from Builders Alliance. Their staff is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and can walk you through any building project that you can conceive of. And their lumber yard is the most well-stocked in the entire city. Do yourself a favor, skip the box stores and head here next time you have a home project to tackle - I'm glad I did. PS Once or twice a year they hold a decking expo, where reps from all of the decking suppliers do on-site demonstrations coupled with the lowest prices of the year. If you're in the market for a deck don't miss this. It made a huge difference for me when choosing for our deck.

Having been told all product was on sale, found mine not listed on the flyer. Go figure.Manager extended sale to my product. recieved my decking a week later. Noticed a few with damage from strapping. Once I opened the load, 10 of 38 boards had serious scratches, some had imbedded rocks, 3 of 4 fascia not usable..at $100 plus each, handling in the supply chain and shipping leaves a lot to be desired. Sales guy got Timbertech to cover and replace. After nearing completion, needed 4 more boards to finish, specifically asked for new product. 3 of 4 came scratched...again, also realized I had been sold a supersize box of hidden fasteners for 500 sq ft...my deck is 250....so half left. $480 a box..vs. $299 for 1/2 box....so out another $180...yeah, sorry about that man....not going to talk about the inconsistencies in color, thickness, quality of the framing wood.... People seem friendly enough, just not quite customer centric.

This company ranks among the highest integrity operations we've ever had commerce with. I am replacing my initial review of five stars with this…read more I purchased a leather and steel love seat in Sept 2021. The price was $2100 which was a major purchase for me. The sales person was very kind and helpful during our interaction. We had some questions that he couldn't answer. He attempted to talk with the owner in another room and was given little and uninterested attention. Later as we were discussing the item and purchase, the owner happened to pass through the showroom and the sales person again attempted to ask him a question and he was given a flippant rather rude answer. It gave me the feeling of disrespect of the sales person as well as us, the customer. We purchased the item anyway, though we seriously considered walking. Now, 2+ years later, we have discovered a failure in the cushion hook and loop attachment system. The cushion is held in place by a strip of hook and loop (Velcro) along the front edge. The hook strip is sewn onto the couch. There is no loop strip. Instead hook strip grabs the fabric on the bottom side of the cushion. That fabric has kind of a fuzzy surface. When we remove the cushion, the hooks tear a little bit of the fabric away until I found that the fabric now has a hole in it. If it was a true hook and loop, the fabric would not have been subjected to this tearing. Of course this only happens when the cushions are removed for cleaning underneath. Admittedly, I haven't clean under the cushions more than six times in the last two years. That is not very many removals of the cushions that would warrant a "normal wear and tear" defense. The owner's earlier conduct was repeated when I called him about the failure. Disinterest and disregard. He answered "When we separate the cushion from the body of the chair, we place our hand right next to the Velcro and release it with a sliding motion, rather that just pulling up on the cushion. That lessans the tension on the connection point. I don't know what else to say. No one has every pointed this out." The couch didn't come with an Owner and Operation Manual. I didn't know that there was a procedure for removing the cushions. I am extremely disappointed in the owners attitude toward customer service and the quality of the company products. Although the over quality of the piece is good, I would not recommend doing business with this company.

At the time, they had 12-13 display models to look at and get ideas on available styles and options. I had recently started looking for a new shed to replace one on our property that was falling apart and was impressed with the quality of the materials used as well as the overall build quality. Compared to other shed brands/dealers in the area that I looked at, North Sound seemed to have the best value for the price. Lee, the sales manager, was very helpful getting answers to questions that I had that were not clearly answered on the Old Hickory Sheds website. When i was ready to make a purchase, Lee gave me the option to work through a design with him or to use the website's shed design tool to configure the shed exactly as I wanted. I opted for the design tool on the website. It was super easy to add/remove options and change layouts to get exactly what I wanted. As an added bonus, I was able to provide the Sherwin Williams paint color codes that was used for our house and have the shed delivered as a perfect match. The small fee for the custom colors far outweighed the hassle of painting it myself after delivery or picking a standard color that wouldn't quite match. Once I got the design finalized, the design tool sent the design to Lee so that he could put together the official order. After placing my order, it took about 2 weeks to receive notification the the shed was built ready for delivery. Once I was contacted, they scheduled my delivery for the following week. The delivery driver was great and placed the shed exactly where I wanted it using a remotely controlled "shed mule". Its a pretty impressive little machine (check out YouTube videos). Overall, I am extremely happy with the purchase and the whole process. I have 2 other sheds on our property that were built by someone that lacked the skills to build them so, I will definitely be going back to North Sound Sheds when I am ready to replace them.
