I would not recommend this company to any of my friends!!! Represented as a first responder owned company you would figure they would stand behind and honor their service... I used this company for a move and as a result of said move my living room tv was damaged. I contacted their company to place a claim and was sent a letter for intent to file the claim. Since receiving the letter the company representative no longer answers my calls, voicemails, or emails. I've tried following up several times for approximately 2 months since I made the claim with no response. $1400 tv was damaged and I will be seeking legal restitution as this company has refused to honor their service. I would note the moving experience wasn't bad, but if an item is damaged by your movers you should honor your claims for damages!!! read more

Alex, Blake, and Christian did an excellent job on move day. They were mindful of my 1 year old and my dog while still being very efficient and taking great care not to bang, drag, or damage our items. They handled my squat rack and cumbersome executive desk with ease and care. Sam who helped us with the quote was patient with our questions and making sure our quote was accurate. We've moved alot and this is the best team I've had by a country mile. Thank you! EDIT: I previously rated 5 stars because the team truly did such a great job on move day, but I need to drop a few stars. The team moved my squat rack and the J Hooks (which hold the bar up on the rack) have gone missing in the move. I'm sure its a simple misplacement or mistake and honestly its not that big of a deal, I've already ordered replacements. Colby, Cody and Juan were friendly, and worked quickly, efficiently and carefully to unload our 20 ft. U-Haul Truck. They took extra care to make sure our furniture was cared for and set up properly. We had to request a change of days and they were accommodating making sure that a crew was available to assist our move from Friday am to Saturday am. We highly recommend using Hero Moving! BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES!!! Hero Moving did our local move and the movers did a nice job. They were polite, efficient and professional. The owner, the complete opposite. We were charged a $100 trip charge since they had to come to Georgetown from Jarrell. When I questioned Jess (possible owner), she states they charge everyone that and it was on the estimate. I provided her with a copy of the estimate Sam gave us and it was nowhere listed. She said we were charged that on our last move too. I provided her copies of the previous estimate as well as the receipt for that move showing it wasn't on there. In addition, I asked other customers I had sent their way, and they were not charged this fee. She said she would refund the charge back to us but, of course, nothing has happened. I have reached out to her multiple times via email, Venmo, and left her multiple phone messages. It is very unfortunate, she has no intention of keeping her word. As a nurse and a wife of a veteran, we chose "Hero" Moving as they advertise themselves as such. Such a disappointment. read more

Hero Moving moved all of our three truckloads from one home in Avery Ranch to a Georgetown. The guys were pleasant, conversational, making sure they were careful with our things. As we unpack we haven't found anything damaged. Hero will be helping move our things from storage to our new home next year. We would definitely use them again. read more

Sept. 5, 2018: First off, I want to say that Hero Moving has been my go to moving company the past few years. I've always felt I could trust them with any and all of my valuable possessions. Hiring a company whose staff are First Responders and whose motto for business is "DUTY-HONOR-TRUST" made it a no brainer for me. Present day: It is now just over 2 months since Hero Moving owner Kyle promised he would take care/replace a valuable "Big Green Egg" grill that was broken by his staff while moving our property from our last home to our new home. Not once did I ever receive a phone call from them. I reached out to them a few times and was told the same thing every time, "We're working on it". I left a message begging them to please reach out to me so we could work something out, that was a week ago, still no return call from them. I understand things happen but, don't ignore people and hope they just go away. read more

Wow what huge disappointment! I used Hero moving 6 years ago when we moved to Jarrell and had a great experience but this move was horrible! Waited over 4 hours for movers to arrive, they were exhausted! The next day they were late to storage unit (I explained I had a meeting) owner called during my meeting threatened to keep my belongings if I did not agree with his pricing and hung up on me. I am a retired principal and understand working with the public and dealing with unhappy citizens but there is NEVER a reason to act the way he did!!! If I could leave zero stars I would. I know it's long but read it to save yourself. I was a quoted 5.5 hours (after they did a walk through) and it ended up taking them 12 hours and they weren't even able to finish! They started at 8:30am and at 8pm all beds were not set up and they were still moving things. They didn't set the furniture where it should be in the bedrooms and boxes weren't in proper rooms even though they were all labeled on the side and tops. Me and my family left at 7:30pm to grab dinner for ourselves and when we returned they were gone and they had left our house completely opened and unlocked. When we got back the garage doors were up AND the door into the house through the garage was left OPEN!! The front door was also left unlocked. They broke a dresser and didn't tell me and they didn't put our dining room table that they took apart back together properly so now a large piece pokes out from under the bottom. I have spoken to the office manager (I guess or maybe owner) and she sent a crew over the next day (who was WAY better than the first crew) to finish what they didn't (about 30 minutes worth of work). But I am still upset and want to discuss my concerns with her. I have texted her three times and she is IGNORING me now. Where as before she was VERY responsive, before they got my money. Not only ALL of that but the actual three person crew that showed up was disengaged and unprofessional from the start and through the day. They didn't speak to me unless I asked them questions and they were very quiet and almost rude. They didn't introduce themselves when they arrived that morning and when I said good morning they literally just looked at me and kept walking. I found out later (from the 2nd crew that was sent) that they were "new". That's the least of my worries. Staffing issues are easy to fix it is all the above that they need to make right. Get better at quoting people. Don't break furniture, don't leave the home wide open and just leave. And lastly. leave things in the right spot so clients don't have to try and move large items of furniture alone to get them in the right spot. read more

The guys that came were very nice and respectful. Customer service from their office was great in the beginning. However, they had me pay them immediately and due to a torn ACL injury, I wasn't able to walk around and inspect their work. I trusted that they would have told me that furniture was scraped as well as walls and floors. (There are blue dresser marks on my floors). I've reached out to management and have been told they'll pass along and be in touch and haven't heard anything in almost 2 months. Don't recommend! read more

I wasnt sure how things would go and not knowing how long it would take, I was a bit anxious! Harry and his crew arrived on time to start eagerly and with professional and friendly attitudes. Hero Moving moved us locally in the Georgetown/ Leander area. While the movers were nice, we had multiple items damaged during the move. I've been even more disappointed with their follow up after the move to correct these items. We were moved in early May and not 1 item has been repaired. Additionally, we haven't received a phone from anyone in the office. They say they have 90 days to correct, so I'm hopeful they will do the right thing. read more

They do NOT settle their claims as they are directed to by the Texas Dept. of Transportation. They did NOT complete my move and their quote was NOT accurate. Incredibly sweet young gentlemen came to our home, arrived punctually (even called ten minutes prior to arriving as the young woman making our appointment said they would). Both men worked like they were unpacking and moving their own furniture and precious belongings into their own home. They never slacked and were extremely surprised when I insisted they take a few breaks, having water or electrolyte drinks (they'd actually brought their own) and donuts! =) I was so impressed with the service. We arrived with a POD that was COMPLETELY full and it took the two boys and my husband just about one hour to unpack. I was shocked! The only slightly negative thing (and I don't really see it as such, but it's an honest critique) is that there was a slight language barrier to overcome. One of the boys had a harder time determining where things went after he asked (back room, front room, first bedroom on the left, that kind of thing). His friend helped him through it, though. It didn't slow them down one bit and they were both 100% respectful of both our time and our belongings. I would recommend Helping Hands Moving to my friends and family and when we pack up from this place and move once more, I'll be calling them again! =D read more

These guys were on time, professional, and worked hard. They made me sweat watching them ... they even ran up and down the stairs ... definitely see the difference in fitness between them and me. Best movers ever! If you need movers and want someone that is efficient can think out of the box doesn't waste time, this is the company! My buyers loan didn't fund on the day it should have so I ended up calling Hero Moving at 4:45pm the day before they were scheduled to be at my house asking what can we do. Jessica said give her few minutes and she would call me back. Well within 5 minutes she called me back and had a brilliant solution, I was so grateful that they could think out of the box and had a solution if I couldn't get in my house the next, fortunately I did. The guys that showed up to move me, were so polite, worked so fast. I told people that they moved faster than I could think and if I sat too long I think I would have ended up on the truck! They were careful, conscientious, but most of all got the job done as quick as they could, no milking the clock that is for sure. These guys were incredible! I had the "A Team" - Luke, Taylor, Patrick, and Stephen! They were so hard working! I never saw them walk - they constantly ran between places. They managed to move my entire house (which I had lived in for 25 years) in 10 hours. During the move they were extremely polite, respectful, and accommodating. We did not have a good experience with this company. The movers were nice guys, but when they put the beds back together at the new residence, they were not fully attached. They were in a rush to get out. We also had a couple of spots on the wood floors in our new home that had gotten some damage. The biggest issue we had is that the final price was double the quoted price. At no time during the moving process did they come to us to address the price increase. It was definitely a shock. We addressed it with the company and they did not attempt to reconcile any of the cost. This was my retirement move from the US Army. We chose Hero, because as someone that served 21 years in the military, we wanted to support an organization that supported public servants. None of our movers were Veterans, Firefighters, police, EMS, or any other "Heroes". I would not recommend this company and definitely would not use them again in the future. read more

I have moved more times than the average person! My recent movers were "Hero Moving/Helping Hands".... and they were exceptional! The 3 man crew (Chris, Harry and Clayton) were timely, very organized, respectful and hard workers! I was prepared for them...by having my boxes, tubs, furniture etc. ready to load... which i believe made their job move quicker to my storage unit. They had a plan for the storage unit space by creating a small walk way in case I need to get to any of my belongings. We came 'under' the estimated cost quoted to me and I tipped them the difference! It was all my pleasure. I was truly impressed by the leadership and efficiency these guys had to get it done without any issues and they were so respectful yes sir yes ma'am! We used this service to relocate from the Austin area to NE Texas. The team arrived on time and packed for 12 hours. The unpacking from the trucks to storage was rushed and unorganized. The price was $3,000 more than we were expecting. We didn't know about the increase until the job was completed. Huge disappointment. Our belongings have been in temporary storage for months. So, I didn't know the condition of our items until now. I was very disappointed to discover that our clothes were not hung/packed in wardrobe boxes. Dress clothes were folded and shoved into large boxes. Several dishes were broken. Fragile items/boxes were on the bottom of the large stacks in storage. This was not a pleasant experience at all. Sad to say...but, I wouldn't recommend this service to my family or friends. read more

Well Dang - over the past 40 years, we have moved 13 times cross country, and about a half dozen times locally, like from Temple to Georgetown. The local moves are really tough. In this case, my time was so constrained, we had not even completed packing... That did not throw these guys off their stride at all. They really have a can do attitude, and back up their attitude by executing what they say they will do. These guys moved us from Georgetown to a smaller home in Jarrell, and were, hands down, the absolute best moving crew we have ever encountered. Not a single thing was broken or lost. They even assisted us in donating a lot of stuff to local charities. Hire these guys when you are ready to move and you will definitely be making the best choice. Recommended! read more

These guys were amazing! They arrived on time and were very professional. First thing they did was inventory what we were moving. Two of them began to prep the heavy items while one guy put a blanket on the door frame to protect the frame and our furniture. Everything including the piano and heavy hutch arrived without as much as a scratch. They even hooked up our washer and dryer! If I ever have to move again I will certainly call Helping Hands again. Well its official, we have now moved the rest of our stuff out of storage and 100% moved into our new house and I am so thankful we found great help. (This review is long over due). Hero Movers helped us back in January after we waited till the last minute and our previous movers were unavailable. The two men that came out were just a delight and definitely knew what they were doing. My only complaint is they ran out of moving pads at the end and i had to use some of my bedding to avoid a few pieces getting scratched or damaged. My husband recently had a stroke so that has consumed the majority of my time over the last year and before i knew it, our new house was ready and it was moving time. They were able to schedule my move at a moments notice and the pricing was more than fair. read more

I should have written this review five-months ago. Without a doubt, this is the worst move in the total of six moves where I have used so-called professional movers. I have some culpability here. My significant other was extremely ill at the time of the move and could do nothing to help with the packing or organizing, so a lady friend helped me, but we made little progress. A week before the move I called and advised them that the work would go better if it our pick-up date were pushed out a week, and that I would need their packing service after all. "Oh, no", I was told, "We'll send two trucks and four movers, pack in the morning, load in the afternoon and deliver that night". Of course it was a colossal goat ------- rodeo. My S. O. is still quite ill after an operation and 27-day stay in the hospital. I've been opening boxes for five-months and still can't find what should be in the boxes the movers identified as guest bath, guest bedroom #1, office, books, kitchen, etcetera. However I have found broken items, damaged items, and scratched items,, but at $.60 a pound, why bother? If I ever have to move again, it will be back to a major league moving company. After all, I could have used Atlas and paid less. read more

WORST, WORST, WORST!!!!!! They took boxes we'd packed and re-packed them, mixing everything up. They packed boxes of boxes. Boxes of wrapping paper, boxes of plastic trash mixed in with mom's best hats, glassware, and the chimes off the grandfather clock. They took tools and lawn equipment, helping themselves when we weren't looking. They showed up on time, worked all day, smiling, happy, even offered to drive us to new home in our personal car. Then when we began unpacking the nightmare began. What a disaster. And, because they charged by the hour and by the box, and so many boxes were full of trash, we ended up paying over $50K - three times the bid from Bekins. From the booking to the end of our move, we were thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and their efficiency We had the largest UHaul truck filled and were moving into a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. The three men who were here to help us move did it in 2 hours. Everything was placed where it belonged and nothing was broken or scratched.
