As usual I went to the shell gas station and my car quit working. The owner manager was so amazing good he offered me free coffee and jump started the car for FREE.I will visit the station again. Thanks to Sunny the Owner.

The line snakes around the corner too. Average wait 1-2 hours...

This is my new favorite place for yearly safety and emission inspections. Service was quick and professional.

After finishing with my oil change, he told me there were 6 things that needed to be fixed. One of them was a filter replacement for a $145.00. If you think I'm kidding, I'll post the pictures. I took my car to my regular mechanic who is my friend. All of those things that he said that I needed, don't need to be done until I hit 50,000 miles. My car only has 30 430 miles. I'm not sure if he thought that he could take advantage of me because I was a woman. My mechanic also laughed at the prices & said they were outrageous. They don't even charge labor to replace the filters. Ps I can buy the filters & replace them myself. I'll have to say I will never come back to this place ever again. This is in response to the owner's response. Even if that was the case there are 3 other services that you wanted to charge me for that were also not needed. Also, no response to a $145 charge for a filter replacement, which is ridiculous. The way this economy is now and everything is already outrageously expensive due to this administration. You need to stop taking advantage of people. Andrea, we recommend servicing CVT transmission fluid every 30K miles because they fail quite often and sometimes with very low miles; Jason did a wonderful job educating and communicating this. Even if your friend doesn't agree, have it performed anyway :) We wish you the best and hope you find a shop that better aligns with you.

Things did not go as planned. Do they ever with cars? No, they do not. But when things go awry,…read moredoes Virginia Tire & Auto have your back? At Herndon: Yes. They. Do. Dropped my car off in the morning because I'd gotten something in the tire. So much construction in the area, it's not surprising. I couldn't even see it but considering the warning light came on even after I topped off the air ... yeah there was something in there. They'd indicated that after the drop-off it would be done around lunchtime. I (foolishly) said: hey, I'm not in a rush, as long as it's done by end-of-day, I'm in good shape. As 4pm rolled around I figured I'd better call because I'd heard nothing. Turns out their tire hole fixy machine (I think that's the technical term) had broken. *sad trombone* And ... what's this? They'd sent the car to another location to fix it? *some questions* Oh no, they'd sent the TIRE somewhere else to go fix it. *some questions* But my car can be picked up and driven home because they hadn't taken the tire off? Ok I'm confused. Perhaps not the greatest on the comms front. In any case, I eventually got to the understanding that they'd literally done nothing because the machine broke. Ok, fine. $%!^ happens. Anywho, I decided I'd just take a Lyft home and pick it up the next day. When I showed up at the end of my subsequent workday to pick up the car, the attendant wandered over to get my keys and started to ring me up. Given the extra expense of Lyfting around, I asked, "any chance there's a discount for the delay?" He looked at me, seemed to consider for a second, and said, "Yeah, this one's on us. Here are your keys." Wait, really? That was more than I expected. My point is this: things always go wrong, but it's the rare business that will go above and beyond to make it right. I think Virginia Tire & Auto in Herndon did that for me.

I get my car back and they didn't change the bulbs they just left it unfixed ...yesterday I take my car for inspection they fail my car for non-DOT headlight bulb then quoted me over 100 dollars to have that changed to pass my inspection ohh and I need a new tire... this place is joke...lol every oil change they said I need need tires btw* ..so your telling me the light bulbs that Toyota installed on my car are not DOT approved..I would suggest that no one take there car to this place the mechanics are legit scammers I took my car up the street after my car failed inspection and it passed lol ... and I asked the place up the street are my tires bad and they said my tires still have a lot of life yeah the tires I bought last year lol don't go to this shop lol I have my response posted below from 10/27 (Today) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good afternoon, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I have received at Virginia Tire and Auto. Frankly, I am at a loss as to how you intend to "make this right," given the numerous issues I have encountered with your establishment. To begin, during my first inspection at your shop, I failed due to headlights that were allegedly not functioning. I paid for the headlights to be fixed, only to later discover that these lights--that were installed by a Toyota dealer--had simply not been plugged in. Despite this, Virginia Tire and Auto still charged me for new headlights that were never actually replaced. This was the moment I began to question the integrity of your business practices. Fast forward to 10/24, when I returned for another inspection. This time, I failed due to "non-DOT approved" headlights. You're referring to the same headlights I paid for during my previous visit, the same headlights that were never properly replaced. To make matters worse, I was told I needed a new tire. It is beyond me why a reputable shop would recommend only one new tire, especially when my tires were installed just last year. After failing the inspection at Virginia Tire and Auto, I took my car across the street to another establishment, where my vehicle passed inspection within an hour. This only strengthens my belief that your shop is engaging in questionable, if not fraudulent, practices. I am requesting a full refund for the two inspections that I failed, as well as the charges for the headlights that were never installed. If you are unwilling to address these concerns, I expect no further communication from your fraudulent company, as I will not be returning. I trust you will take my concerns seriously and resolve this matter promptly. Respectfully, Eliezer V.
