Herm's absolutely kills it. As far as brunch goes, I wouldn't consider any other spot in Logan. Their menu seems fairly traditional, but they take food to the next level. My inside out grilled cheese was delicious. Get a cinnamon swirl pancake for the table. Phenomenal. Everything I tried was something I would order again. Highly recommend. read more

We come to Logan a few times a year and have been so glad we discovered Herm's Inn in 2020. The food is flavorful and portions are generous - great on our way up or down Logan Canyon for a day of play. The breakfast is top notch. I love the veggie omelette and my partner loves the breakfast burrito. ALSO be sure to get the pancake. It is somehow both thick and super fluffy and has some amazing citrus zest which is the best thing that could happen to your tastebuds. Came here once on a day trip to Logan. Very beautiful place. It really has the "Inn" kind of feeling, you know? Nothing manufactured-feeling. Environment was warm, and they had doodles and drawings from past guests all over the place. We had to wait a minute to get in (very popular), but I felt it was worth it. Food was hearty and delicious. Servers, as I recall, were attentive but busy. Little more expensive, but I didn't mind it too much. I'd go again if I had the chance. read more

So from the reviews we were expecting great service and great food but it was more than that.. it was exceptional! From the moment we walked in everyone was warm and welcoming, even talking to the kid (7 yr old) - making him feel great! The menu was easy to read the the choices are plentiful. There really is something for every one including vegan options. My coffee and water were always full and there was someone close if we needed anything. The waitress was very kind and made sure to check on us often. The wait was short and the food was delicious! The presentation of the food was perfect and the taste was even better! I'm surprised I've never reviewed the "oh so famous Herms Inn" before! I've been here plenty of times, mostly because I live with 9 other Basic White Girls who love breakfast foods. Let me start with the downside: IT IS SO BUSY. All the time. Everyday. Everywhere you go. And you can't call ahead to reserve a table---you have to go an hour earlier than you were planning to actually eat. So bring a snack as to not whither away and die while you wait and hope the Ladies Bookclub leaves soon so you can have their table. The upside: the food is incredible. Honestly, it's just tasty taste. I'm really good at ordering the breakfast burrito or omelet because it comes with a side of their delicious skillet potatoes. The decor is fun and bustling, it makes you feel like you're playing a part in a movie in New York..at least I'm assuming, I've actually never been to New York. TIPS & TRICKS: * They are well known for their $5 Cinnamon Swirl Pancake, and it is delightful! But trust me, you'll only need one for a party of 6 as a "dessert". * Get their Mac and Cheese as a side, you will not regret it. Even if it's breakfast time, no, ESPECIALLY if it's breakfast time. It changes everyday, but the one I had was Bacon and Green Pea Mac & Cheese. Wow. It was heaven-sent. * Ask for a side of their homemade jam to go with any toast you might get, it's just like your grandma would make it. read more

Surprised by the quality of this little gem in Logan. Beautiful location, great food at reasonable prices. There was a lag in the kitchen when we visited; 3 in our large party got their meals 10 mins later than the table. Server was great about it though, apologized & immediately offered a discount for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. I love it when staff takes ownership and solves problems proactively. I have been to Herm's Inn at least 10 times since I wrote my last review (and I live in Cali) This place is great and a sure thing when I visit. Service - Everyone is happy, smiley and efficient Food - well crafted and executed - super tasty as well Price - I live in Cali, so my review might be skewed but this place is a DEAL Seating - I don't think there is a bad seat in the house (there is a HUGE private room and table downstairs that is amazing if you have a lot of kids - also next to bathroom - I have sat there twice but I don't think it is always an option) Please don't ever change, Herm's! read more

Our friends live in Logan and we've eaten here multiple times. They are busy at times but they have an inviting area outside with comfy chairs to relax in until your table is ready. The food is consistently good and their cinnamon roll pancake is decadent and delicious. Staff is always friendly. read more

Oh my gosh so good. 5 stars for the beautiful location. 5 stars for that cinnamon roll pancake! Holy cow it was so good. 5 stars for the omelette. It was amazing!! So many veggies and a lot of cheese and cooked perfect. The potatoes were okay. I wouldn't waste my calories on them. Order another pancake. Seriously so yummy and perfect. Absolutely an amazing find on our leisurely trip through Logan canyon. We found this place on Yelp and we're confused when we Google maps led us through a neighborhood. Where to start! In all honesty, I was worried that as a brunch place, it'd be a little pretentious. I got there, was told I'd have up to 45 minutes in wait time, unless my wife and I were willing to eat at the bar. We said sure, so it was only a 15 minute wait. Now, the atmosphere is nice, cozy, and totally inviting. I was glad to be wrong about it feeling pretentious. First, let's talk about the staff. They are super friendly, for sure some top shelf people. They told us what they loved, asked our likes, and pointed us in the right direction. The coffee mug was always topped off, as well as my wife's soda. (It wasn't diet, but her metabolism can pull it off, once it slows she will either switch or get fat like me) Now, the food! We ordered a total of 6 dishes in two days from here, and all 6 were incredible! If you like a Reuben then get one, but my personal favorite was the Cuban sandwich. It's genuine perfection on a sandwich. I like a Reuben, and I like a Cuban, and they make both at an elite level. My wife got herself a turkey avocado which was quite nice. Add bacon to that bad boy and get a side of their ranch to dip it in and take it to another level! Their Mac and cheese specials? Exquisite. Seriously, get in here, eat at Logan's diamond in the rough. You'll not regret it. read more

This place was good. I had the club sandwich with fries and fry sauce. It was a good sandwich and good fries, but nothing that made it standout from other places that serve the same thing. The fries were a little soft. It would have been nice if they were crispier. It is a charming building and beautiful area. The service was really friendly. This is one of my all time favorite when visiting the area. Most of my family live nearby. We had my mom Mother's Day Brunch celebration. We needed special accommodation since my mom needs wheelchair. This restaurant has elevators and the bathrooms all situated bottom floor so it was perfect setup for us. The staff service the kitchen cook and food quality is all very good. Herm's Inn is definitely on my list. read more

Hi, I'm Alex and I'm addicted to brunch. There, I said it. If you're in the market for a cute, delicious brunch spot in Logan, go to Herm's. They said a 30 minute wait, but was pleasantly surprised when they sat us in 15. The menu is packed with options and are all affordable. We were there shortly after the store opened and it was really clear the dining room and restrooms had not been cleaned and look like its been a while. Ants on the floor, restrooms disgusting. The food was ok but makes me worried that if the dining room and restrooms look like this, what does the kitchen look like. Won't be back!

Woke up excited to go to Herm's and try their breakfast. Found the place very nice (decor wise) but could not recommend either of the dishes my fiancee or I ordered. I had the biscuits and gravy and the gravy did not taste very good. It tasted like there was some artificial sausage flavor that was overpowering the dish. Their potatoes were also not very good, and I think I would have much preferred hash browns, but apparently that's not even an option. Coffee was almost $3 for a cup and my cup sat empty for quite some time between refills. My server was also MIA for most of the time. Better than the usual SYSCO coffee, but still not worth the price. My fiancee ordered the BLT, which had plenty of L, but of the salad greens variety with the purple leaves instead of iceberg. Not the ideal BLT. Also not a fan of the kettle chips that they serve as a side. I liked my eggs, she liked her pickle, but neither or us were very satisfied with the experience. When it came time to pay for the check, we were confused if we were supposed to pay up front or wait for our ever elusive server to come pick up our debit card and check, so that could be made clear to new guests. "Is this your first time eating here? Yes, well let me tell you about our specials blah blah blah, when you're done you pay up front." Not a hard thing to implement. Might try and go back for lunch to try a burger, but ultimately we were both disappointed and feel like that $20 could have been better spent elsewhere. read more

What a hidden gem. The charm starts the second you turn left off center street and begin to wind your way through this quaint community. You will know when you arrive, the building is a mix of a bygone era mixed with modern clean lines. The parking and building are all brand new and seem to frame this old filling station. The interior is feast for the eyes with industrial style chairs, exquisitely finished floors and woods on the walls. The food is creatively envisioned, breakfast has never been so inventive. I had the French Toast which was amazing! Everyone at my table loved everything that came to the table. I wanted to taste everything on the menu but this the first time I was ever told no by both my husband and son. If I were a local I wouldn't eat anywhere else, but alas I do not. What a WONDERFUL experiance!! Not only was the food Fabulous (BEST Coffee in town!!) and the service was just as good!!! We were quickly sat, helped and served! We were also able to met the owners and found them VERY friendly and excited to make our dinning experiance wonderful!!! I also LOVED the Decor! It was beautifully remodeled not a single detail missed keeping up with the charm that makes "The Island" such a unique and special part of Cache Valley! I would suggest this resturant to any one!! For a quick bite or a nice place to sit down and have a 2 hour chat while eating the most delicous spinach omelet and a never cool or empty cup of Coffee...or Hot Chocolate for my 4 year old!!! I spent years in Logan wishing that there was a good breakfast joint that would allow me to avoid Angies and the other various chain breakfast joints, and Herm's is that place. This place has great service to go along with breakfast foods that has more of an artisan feel to it. The Corned Beef and Hash, Greek Skillit, and the Steak and Eggs have all been far above the other breakfast joints in town. On top of the great individual meals they have, I've also done the family breakfast they offer, and it feed my family with plenty to spare. The gigantic pancake that comes with it is a huge hit with them. Lots of people rant and rave about their lemon butter, but I find it to be a little overpowering, as their French Toast and Pancakes carry themselves very well without it. read more

The resurrection of Herm's Inn in Logan has been anxiously anticipated and based on my visit this morning, the anticipation has not been misplaced. The service was good, Ryan the manager was on premises and involved and the renovation of the building is top notch having been completed with materials that ooze quality. Often the preparation of the simplest of meals is good criteria for what the rest of the menu will be like. My eggs over medium were perfect, the wheat toast was substansial and the potatoes were crispy outside and creamy inside. There is an emphasis on using local ingredients which helps to insure freshness & quality as well as support our local economy. The management seems to be carrying on the reputation Herm's Inn had in the yesteryear. Kudos! read more

The food was absolutely incredible, everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. The biscuits and gravy were comfort food at its finest, and the turkey and avocado sandwich was fresh and satisfying. The breakfast potatoes were the perfect side to round out the meal. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience even better. Great service to go along with the fantastic food! Definitely coming back! This is a fun location to stop for a quick bite or a light supper. Gourmet corn dogs are a type of Asian street cuisine. They're all fairly tasty and cost $3-4. To be enjoyable, they require a lot of sauce. Ketchup, mustard, cheese mustard, sweet chili, and a few additional sauces are available. Mustard with sweet chili and cheese (tastes like honey mustard). We tried a few of the corn dogs and found them to be rather tasty, even the squid ink ones. I would strongly advise buying one with cheese, especially if you are not a big fan of hotdogs. Overall, a fantastic location. You will appreciate it if you order one with cheese and utilize the sauces. read more

Food-just typical.. has it's ups and downs. The pancake.. way overboard on Cream cheese frosting. Cinnamon flavor=non existent. Eggs have always been rubbery. Coffee-served lukewarm... blech. Service-leaves a lot to be desired. The saving grace is the design of the place. It is beautiful. Fun, and so different for the Logan areal. I always say three times is a charm, so I need to go a fourth time and give it one more time!! Their entrees are bigger than you'd expect for the price, and everything I've had there is wonderful. The atmosphere is rustic, with the mountains just past the windows. My wife and I are big fans, and even had our wedding luncheon there. It's a popular place, and they aren't open for many hours per day, so expect a bit of a wait time. It's worth it. read more

The breakfast is awesome. I've had one of the skillets and the huge pancake and they were both really good. Lunch is solid as well. The Baja Burger is my favorite, but the Turkey Avocado sandwich is good, too. They have a daily mac and cheese that is always good. I'm a fan. read more

Good food and coffee. Definitely a good place for brunch or breakfast. More expensive than Denny's although the food is probably fairly comparable but in a nicer environment. Seems to have a certain clientele (hipsterish/uppity) but the service has still been pretty good. read more

Two words... Carnitas Skillet! This could be our favorite restaurant in Logan. If you are visiting and looking for a one-of-a-kind place to eat and get awesome food, this is it. The feel of the restaurant is great with some great views year round. Worth every penny. read more

Outstanding new breakfast/lunch place in Logan! Just what we have needed - a really nice for eggs, pancakes, etc. Traditional breakfast was very good. Bread from Crumb Brothers and coffee from Cafe Ibis. Can't wait to explore their menu further. read more

Nothing is more frustrating than walking into a food establishment and waiting 30 minutes to pick up two croissants. I walk up to the counter, I point at two beautiful butter croissants sitting right there behind glass, and say, "I'll take those two." The person at the register takes my order, but then doesn't just reach over and place the croissants in a small bag and hand them to you, they put your order in the queue behind ten burrito orders, so now you wait 30 or more minutes to pick up your two croissants. To me, this is absolutely ludicrous. In comes the coffee, now I understand why they have some of the worst coffee in the valley--cold, self-serve, rattle can coffee. They're located right next to the best five star coffee shop in the entire country, Ibis Coffee, so you might think, well, I'll go buy a cup of coffee at Ibis, and a couple wonderful fresh butter croissants at La Croissant. Nope, you'll order your two croissants at La Croissant, walk over to Ibis, order your coffee, sit down, drink your coffee, finish your coffee, and surf Facebook, long before your two croissants are ready for pick up.
