Great little driving range. Short game area is lacking but the tees have some decent enough grass to hit off of.

By far the largest of the Gaylords at nearly 2900 rooms…read more You will walk, and walk, and walk. You will get lost/confused where you are. Hopefully you'll have downloaded the app and gotten used to how it works early in your stay. Despite being a little worn around the edges, the atriums are impressive. It's a cool place to wander around. Lots of dining choices. Do not expect great food, and you'll find each restaurant offers a quite limited selection. But the variety will keep you fed over your stay. The valet service out front is very organized. All through the hotel they've refined how to smoothly handle a huge number of guests. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Book an atrium view room, it's a much cooler option than the outside views. King rooms have a comfortable upholstered chair and ottoman. The bed was quite comfortable, the pillows good quality, and the room could be kept dark and cold for great sleeping. Nice that there's a sink outside the bathroom door as well as one in the bathroom. Though the space is very tight, it at least allows one fo use the bathroom while another is getting ready. Netflix and Prime on the TVs. Our stay this visit was one night, so I didn't bother to check if an external device could be connected. Decent amount of plugs bedside and on the roomy desk. We'll make it a several night stay next visit, so we have more of a chance to explore. Footnote: if you're walking over to the Opry for a show, be aware that your feet are likely to already be tired from the Gaylord walking and it's a good ways to the Opry, with no benches between to take a break. We stayed in one of the rooms closest to the Opry facing hotel portico, and it was still a solid mile from room to Opry.

I was really let down by this stay, especially for the price. The room felt extremely dated--the…read morefurniture and overall style looked old and definitely didn't reflect a $600-per-night experience. Even small details were off; one of my coffee packets was already opened and there was no sugar provided, which just added to the disappointment. The bed was another major issue--it was so firm that it actually hurt my back. We booked a two-queen room with a view of the inside park, which was nice, but unfortunately that was the only highlight. Everything else fell short. We also ordered in-room dining from the à la carte menu, and that was just as underwhelming. I paid $34 for pan-seared salmon, and it literally came as just a plain piece of salmon on top of rice--nothing else. For that price, I expected something much better. Honestly, I've had better salmon at places like Dave & Buster's for less. The charcuterie board was just as disappointing--$24 for four small pieces of mediocre meat. Overall, this was easily the worst staycation I've had. With all the hype surrounding this place, I truly expected much more.

Two Rivers Park may be one of my favorite parks in the Nashville metro area! If you have ever…read moredriven on Briley near Opry Mills, then you have seen either the water park or pedestrian bridge, both of which are just a small part of what makes Two Rivers Park such a cool spot! The main draw of Two Rivers for me is the Greenway trails and of course the pedestrian bridge that crosses the Cumberland river and provides gorgeous views and a solid backdrop for a walk. The trails at Two Rivers are some of the most active in the city as at any given time of the day there are folks walking, blading, biking, jogging, etc...I spend most of my time when at the park on the greenway, it's well kept, well maintained, clean and peaceful. Outside of the trails, the park features a skate park, the water park, a golf course and a few other activity based areas. They also have a lot of public space and gazebos you can rent for parties and such. The park is huge, so you can access it from several areas from Briley, McGavock or Shelby Bottoms. The main entrance is just off of Briley, which is where I usually go, as parking is plentiful and it is a good start/stop point when hitting the greenway...plus the pedestrian bridge is right there! Overall, I really enjoy Two Rivers Park!
