Incredible tucked away course just outside of Nashville. I live in the area and for 8 minutes way I am guaranteed well kept fairways, immaculate greens, and courtesy management. $19 for 9 holes including cart is a good price for this [18 hole] course. It's not daunting but does have enough dog legs and up/down hills to make it challenging and is well taken care of for a municipal venue. Apparently the greens were redone in the last year or so and as of October 2016 most of the front nine is in good shape (didn't play back). Player skill is at or above average so in my experience pace has been decent. Four star rating could be 4.5 or even full 5.0 but in the 3 or 4 times I have played, haven't seen a beverage cart on course once so plan accordingly. Water stations are few but they're out there. Plenty of food and drink for sale in the clubhouse. When it comes to playing as a twosome or even a single, the clubhouse staff is fairly accommodating which is a plus. Some times it's too busy to not be paired up but that's reasonable. You can also book online (apparently via Yelp, too) so your start time is set in advance. The read more

Nice course, would love to see it and play in season. Was in Nashville for three days and brought clubs because saw weather was going to be nice and 70 degrees in December, which we don't get up North this time of year. The course has a nice layout, was in great shape for time of year, staff was very nice and friendly and was a great day of golf. The Bermuda grass is dormant this time of year so everything is the color tan, luckily they spray paint the greens green. You can tell it's a nice course and must be really nice when all green. If you play here when grass is dormant, definitely buy some colored balls at the pro shop desk when you get there because finding white ones in tan fairways can be almost impossible at times. I bought a few colored ones from pro shop after 9holes and made all the difference In the world. read more

A buddy and I have been a member of the municipal golf courses for about 3/4 of a year now. I live approximately 15 minutes from here and thought it would be an ideal place to start my journey back towards playing some good golf. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get a tee time here during the week or weekend unless it's in the afternoon (I haven't played here in months). I believe I'm suppose to be there when they open to place a tee time because anytime I've tried calling (@8::00 am exactly) the phone is busy and remains busy for about 20 minutes...then no tee times until the afternoon. Can't place a tee time more than a week in advance unless you have a large group which can reserve a tee time up to a year in advance. In my opinion, I believe this course is an absolute gem and the conditions are superior to a lot of the other public courses in the area. I usually end up playing on the west side of Nashville due to the unavailability of morning tee times here. Ted Rhodes municipal golf course is run by a gentleman named Audie (I hope I spelled it correctly) and seems to always work some magic and gets us in. If you wish to play a great golf course in the afternoon I highly recommend this course. It just hasn't worked out for me as a member since I have family obligations in the afternoon. Ted Rhodes, McCabe and Harpeth Hills are great courses too! Obviously, this course is great, but not being able to get tee times in the A.M. forces me as a member, to utilize the other municipal courses across the Nashville area. Looking for a pretty decent course and affordable. Well this is it. Pretty open and forgiving. For a muni my buddies who play a lot of golf at since courses thought it was pretty good too. Club rentals were decent nothing special but hey they were affordable. I recommend if looking for a decent spot and affordable golf. read more

After the driving range, my husband and I decided to schedule tee time at two rivers. Best thing ever. Played 9-holes and loved it. They definitely take care of that place. It is very well-maintained. The people are great and the prices are excellent. It only cost us $19 for 9-holes including the golf cart. Amazing!!! We will definitely be back again. read more

I love the staff at two rivers! Ms. Dahlgren takes incredible care of the greens and rumor has it that they are replacing the greens with Bermuda grass. The course keeps a consistent pace unlike most muni courses. read more

I have always liked Two Rivers course. This is my 1st time playing the new greens. They are gonna take some getting used to. They are fast down hill. Very tough to keep your ball on the green. You gotta come in very high to make the ball stop. And chipping..... just as tricky. They handle ball marks well, but folks still need to fix 'em. They whole course is well kept. Not many sand traps, and no water comes into play.... as long as you hit the ball correctly :) Flat enough to walk. The challenge comes in NOT hitting trees. Lots of trees lining the fairways. Fees are reasonable, give this one a try. read more

This is an excellent city owned golf course. Good value and the course is in good condition.

You get your money's worth here, and a great staff. It's not walk-friendly, so you really should cart it, but it's an fun layout and pretty well-maintained. I would take this course over McCabe anyday. read more

All in all, a pretty decent muni course. Lots of elevation changes, moderately challenging. Some water on the course, but trouble is usually easy to avoid. I believe they're charging about $30 for a round, which isn't too bad I suppose. read more
