Speaking to that woman Laura made me wish I was instead dealing with the Department of Motor Vehicles. She couldn't have been more disrespectful if she was headlining a Roast. Not only was her attitude a perpetual black cloud hovering over the reception, but her total lack of understanding of the activities that take place at a typical wedding left her to cluelessly complain about the audacity of the patrons to drink, dance, and celebrate while at (of all places) a wedding. I know, I know... how outrageous of us. So if you do decide to choose this as a venue for an upcoming event, know that going in. It would probably be in your best interests to request that Laura be given the night off. It speaks to the level of this woman's mismanagement that her mere presence on the site is enough to overshadow the beauty of the venue itself. The inside was beautiful and a very good spot to hold the reception for about 100 people. Most of the action took place outside. The outside deck was perfect for over looking the grassy area where the dance floor was. The parking is mainly on gravel. Be prepared for that when you are dressed up. There is nice little gazebo and another small stable structure on the property. I believe I was told this property is a nonprofit. Which means, your rental feel is partly tax deductible. The property staff were nice considering a bunch of 20-30's partiers where sitting on railings and such. But, to her effort, they are trying to restore much of the grounds.

Once all of our guests had gone home and the CRAVE crew was going, I simply washed my crockpot out from my dish and you would never have know 50 people were in our home. I would 100% use CRAVE again. Sam, our coordinator, really helped us drill the menu options down and I could not have asked for a more perfect night.

Over the years I've heard jokes about "Community Theater" but this is the first time I've ever…read moreactually been to one. It's a unique, but fun, experience. Imagine coming to a friendly strangers house and watching friendly strangers perform a play for you in their living room. That's the Lakewood Theater experience. The better half and I saw 39 Steps, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The players do a wonderful job of telling a story with a bare minimum of props and some pretty decent acting. If you are looking for a Broadway experience, you'll probably be disappointed but if you are looking for some fun in an intimate setting I highly recommend it.

STILL SCRATCHING MY HEAD!…read more Let's be honest, Lakewood Theatre is a very small, very old, slightly neglected theater. HOWEVER, this little theatre really delivered when it came to their recent production of A Christmas Carol. My husband and I were simply bewildered by the talent here as it is a very small town and this venue does not exactly scream: Talent resides here! According to one audience member, the theatre has been around for approximately 30 years but the building is quiet a bit older and this is most evident with the seats. The wooden seats are super narrow and somewhat uncomfortable for those that are fluffier than most. They appear to be at least fifty years old. The production was very professional as was the cast. My husband and I both agreed that this group of talented actors and actresses deserve a larger and much nicer space. Regardless of the venue, the play did not suffer one bit. We enjoyed every aspect of it including the singing and instrumental performances. This play was perfect for the entire family and proudly represented the spirit of Christmas. Lakewood is a great little theatre and worth checking out if you are looking for great plays and performances.

I hit from the reds and for some reason my tee boxes seemed to be in the middle of the fairway more often than not but at nearly 5300 yards, I was none too happy to cut off a yard or two. It's a beautiful course with an island green, a large pond that affects several holes and a rock wall backdrop at times. The rough was that spongy grass that seems to suck up your ball so it's not hard to lose a ball in it even though it's not super deep. The pin placements were tough as times and paired with fast greens, it made for some tough putting experiences. Carts were nice with GPS and yardage stats. A cart lady was available often on the course. On course bathrooms were nice and had water to refill bottles. Staff was outstanding. Everyone we met was helpful and fun to chat with. We also took advantage of the free range balls before our round. Great experience.

I played a terrible front and decent back. Don't eat at the clubhouse - very meh. Staff inside were nice. Staff outside on the course made me feel like a child after we paid $500 to play here - telling my 70 year old dad to hurry tf up on literally every hole on the front 9. I thought that wasn't cool. Probably my least enjoyable round of golf as an adult I've ever played and by far the most expensive I've ever paid to play.
