Stopped by Hermanos today. Yes, they are open. I guess they were closed for a few weeks but they are in fact, open. Whenever I'm visiting Redding, I always like to try new places, especially searching for solid Mexican food (which isn't an easy task in such a small town). People who know me, know that I love beans - refried especially. My grandmother and father made amazing refried beans. Living in Los Angeles, there's a diverse number of places that really deliver the flavor. I digress. So, I stop at Hermanos today and ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a chorizo soft taco. The guys working there were friendly and after explaining to them that I'm visiting from Southern California and my affinity for beans (I'm a nerd, what can I say lol), they gave me a taste of their shredded beef birria. It was amazing. Melted in my mouth. So, A+ there. To the headliners... Bean and cheese burrito. The tortilla was homemade tasting/feeling (didn't appear to be store bought like some of the other places I've tried here). On a scale of 1-10, I give the beans a 7. They were better than average and better than good. Chorizo soft taco. Pretty simple taco. Soft flour tortilla, lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and chorizo. The chorizo was cooked perfectly (That isn't a passing comment either. Chorizo can be easily under or overcooked). Great flavor. Tasted fresh. They gave me green and red salsa. Both were really tasty and enjoyable. I think I have found my new favorite Mexican spot in Redding. The true test will be their chili relleno and pozole. I will definitely be back.

We have had so many great experiences at Hermano's! The family that owns the restaurant is so friendly and have done a great job renovating the patio to make it so comfortable when dining in. The food is always delicious and we tell everyone we know that it is the best Mexican food around! Definitely try their breakfast menu too!

Our Enchiladas & Chile Relleno dishes we excellent! Generous servings - salsa was A+. Glad we stopped as we almost didn't. It's small with seating on the side patio & it was "hot" but as I said I'm glad we did!

Best torta in town! Fuck it was so gooood. There tacos were packed worth it! We ate to fast and stuffed our faces we forgot about the picture. The outside seating is total ambiance . I love it and will be coming back. Super chill with some good ass food. Felt like Mexico tbh

This place is probably the best Mexican food spot in Redding. The guys who run it are super sweet and the tacos are perfection. Their salsas hit just right and I am in love with their potato tacos. I can't say enough good things about this spot. It's small but mighty. Try the horchata in a bag. read more

The food was fresh and delicious. Restrooms were super clean and the service was as top tier. I had the Asada plate and my husband had the birria street tacos, both full of flavor. My daughter had the basic bean and cheese taco and she ate it all up too. Chips and fresh salsa while waiting was a plus. read more

Hermano's might be one of the only places in Redding Ca to serve authentic chilaquiles and huevos divorciados! Their chips, salsa, glass bottled soda and authentic dishes are absolutely amazing. If you haven't checked this little hole in the wall out You Need To! My boyfriend loves spicy food and they accommodated him wonderfully! I on the hand like it just how it is and it was perfect. I'm a foodie and well traveled. I've authentic food in Mexico Santa Cruz and San Diego and this little place brings me back to vacations with mouth watering authentic homemade dishes. I feel like they make everything homemade maybe even the chips and tortillas too. It was perfect!! I love that there's outdoor seating and they are so nice, clean and have great customer service. It is a great father and son duo that work there. This place had the best hot sauce for spicy food in the Redding area, in my opinion. It is been the best that I've had in a long time. Super tasty. I ordered door dash from Hermano's. Absolutely tasty! We had the Carnitas quesadillas and the flavor...the delicious flour tortillas. Yum. Also ordered the Toastada bowl with shrimp. Worth the experience. Small, no, 'tiny ' hole in the wall on south Market. Friendly. My tacos al carbon were a real treat. They sit berween the flooring store and the Tropics bar with parking slots assigned at the flooring store. I mention this because I drove past them twice. It was worth the effort to keep looking. read more

Ordered Huarache for the first time. I chose carne asada as my protein. It was AMAZING. Just the right amount of meat, veggies, cheese and the masa was grilled to perfection. I'm hooked! The owner was very friendly and offered a free sample of beef birria. The daily special looked great too- hope it's available next time I visit. read more

Food was good. Service was excellent. Being that I don't speak Spanish and don't know what the dishes are, they were informative, patient and courteous in assisting me with my order. Small place, there was a counter to eat at. I'm not sure if there were any tables. I prefer eating at "hole in the wall" establishments rather than franchises. Recommended. read more

I finally went here for lunch one day, after my friends have been raving about it since it opened. My food was great! I got the Huaraches with Al pastor. It's a more simple dish, but I love trying dishes with a homemade masa component. I would get that dish again, but I also want to try many other things they have. They were very nice and friendly too. I will go back, and I suggest others go too! read more

I've been to this restaurant several times now, and it's always an interesting experience. The location is a bit unique, with very limited seating inside and a small patio outside--it's not the place to go if you're looking for a spacious dining room. That said, I keep coming back for one reason: the food. The food here is phenomenal--consistently high quality, flavorful, and served with good service every time I visit. It's one of those places that has never disappointed me, which is why I'll continue to return. Just a heads-up: if you plan on dining in, seating can be tight, so you may want to plan ahead. But if your priority is the food (like mine is), it's absolutely worth it. Highly recommend! read more

Hermanos is officially my favorite Mexican food spot in Redding. The salsa is incredible--fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere. The chili relleno carne asada hybrid burrito is next-level and absolutely worth trying. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding. Christian is a true gentleman--friendly, attentive, and professional. If he's not already the manager or owner, he definitely deserves a raise. Great guy and a big part of what makes this place stand out. Highly recommend Hermanos if you're looking for amazing food and top-tier service. read more

We went to this restaurant and ored a.pollo ala creama which i heard someone it was good but I didn't really like it I did have any flavor as supposed to have a Mexican plate. The service was ok and price were kind of expensive i would not recommend this restaurant if you're looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant this is like a pre cooked food and also I try the chilla kilis, and they were not as good as though i will recommend you to go somewhere else like el zarape Mexican food if you are looking or authentic Mexican food read more

Five stars for Hermano's! This new spot just opened up, and let me tell you, it's a real gem. The vibe feels super authentic, and the food is fantastic. I had a burrito and it was delicious. Was in Redding and went here to eat after reading some of the reviews only to find out that it was closed when it was supposed to be open, after talking to some locals found out that this place has never been open. read more

Legit! Killer burrito special with carne and chili relleno...inside the burrito! Great family run business and you can tell their ingredients are fresh. Not off the Sysco truck! Highly recommend. read more
