We had the BEST time at Hermann Crown Suites! We came to Hermann for a Girls' Trip to celebrate a 50th birthday! We stayed in the Music Decades Suite, and it was amazing. It was in the heart of the downtown area surrounded by wonderful boutiques and restaurants! They had a delicious breakfast buffet with so many delicious selections from bacon and eggs to granola and fruit. We parked our car and left it all weekend, because they offer a shuttle to take you to the wineries and the shops/restaurants are all in walking distance. The nightlife at the Crowne Suites offers a quaint downstairs bar and a lit patio with nightly live music. They have so many drink and food options for guests as they enjoy the nice weather and music. The owners, Lisa and Steve, were there at all times and so accommodating. Lisa gave us a tour of our room and all of its amenities, and Steve welcomed us to breakfast. You can walk or bike around the area, and the views are beautiful. They were so knowledgeable of all of the surrounding offerings, and they made our stay so pleasant. I definitely planned to stay with them again, and I would highly recommend their establishment to anyone looking for a relaxing and/or entertaining weekend ~ it's really an area to kick back or enjoy multiple activities. read more

My wife and I stayed here on our Katy Trail trip. We had the Cycle Suite, which is a room with an exterior entrance separate from the hotel. The room is super cute, complete with mini fridge and wet bar. The room comes with two complimentary drinks from the bar and free breakfast in the morning. Hermann itself was great. Hermann Crown Suites was horrible! Upon check in Amy was very rude and downright mean. It was totally unacceptable and I would have got another room at another place right then if one would have been available because of the way she treated me. She treated me like an idiot because I didn't know what she was talking about when she kept saying "bunker" at first, I thought she was saying my last name was bunker, then after her many rude remark's I figures out, she was taking about the room I was staying in was named "bunker" and then I thought many it was a German thing and that all rooms were called bunkers. She handed me the room keys, they didn't any identifying information on the keys like a room # or name so asked what room number she was sending us to IN ANOTHR BUILDING and she yelled at me "bunker" and when we got to the room there was a number on the door, it was #2. She could have just said #2 she was rude and nasty and made me feel like an idiot. There were 5 people in my party checking in and they were all looking at me like OMG.... I did my best to just let it go because I was not trying to allow her to ruin my get away!!! BUT then when we got in the room, it slept 8 with 2 bedrooms and 2 pull out couch, my husband and I were to get the main room my daughter and her husband were getting the other, my sister was to sleep on pull out. Another sister of my was going to come and sleep on the second pull out but broke her toe and couldn't come, that ended up being a blessing because our sleeping arrangements had just changed because the air unit in the main bedroom was not working, I called the office and got Amy who was once again very nasty to me she said "she didn't know if she could reach the maintenance man, he might be on vacation, not at home and that he has a disables child." I also have a disabled child and planning a getaway can sometimes be difficult, but I did plan this one.... and paid a lot for it almost 800.00 for just the room for 2 nights - that sleeps 8 with 2 bedroom and now one can't be used, she asked if there was a code, I did find the code EL 01, she called me back and said they have to do a warranty call on the unit and offered up some fans, the outside temp real feel that days was 114 degrees, I told her that was unacceptable that we would like another room she said "our solution is offing you fans and hung up on me. She never brought the fans, and we could not use that room. So, I paid for 2 bedrooms and wasn't able to use the second room. Once again, I let it go for now because I was not trying to let all of this ruin the getaway. Later on I was passing by the office I stopped in and aske Amy if she was a manager because I could in no way see how just a regular employee was treating a guest the way she was treating me and getting away with it, she said no she is not, I asked for the managers contact information and this was the first time I seen a smile on her face she just laughed at me and gave me a phone number, I then asked her if the phone number had a name to go with it, she laughed again and said YEAH and added the name Steve to it. upon check out a very nice young man helped us with check out, I asked him for a letter stating my complaint about the air not working and their solution to the problem "fans" and he said he would have to ask management. So, when we were leaving, I stopped to get the letter and he said Steve is here to give you a ride to the train station, and I said Steve? is he the manager "owner" and he said yes, I was like ok good deal, thanks. I TRIED to talk to Steve, he would not hear me at all and said that I booked through booking.com my problem is with them and to contact them. He then threatened NOT to give us the complimentary ride to the train. He would not except any responsibility at all about his place not operation as it should He cut me off every time I trying to speak so I stopped taking until I go dropped off 5 blocks away the train station and then I TRIED to let him know how Amy treated us, talked to me, hung up on me and never brought the fans and he called me a LIER!!!! I was like WOW..... one thing I don't do it lie and here is this man that would not listen to me at all calling me a Lier. I had 4 people with me who saw and heard it all. Also, I was leaving while in the office the nice guy was answering the phone and telling the person on the other end how they are all booked up, so the next people that are going into the room are going to have the same problem. I feel sorry for them, because the owner (Steve Vollmer) of this place doesn't care about his guest not one bit..... the fact that he wouldn't even have a conversation with me and hear what I had to say blows me away. He didn't want to hear anything at all. And was clear that I am booking.com's problem, not his even though the property failures are on him. read more

Stayed in Hermann for my birthday weekend at the Crown Suites, what a quaint little hotel! We were hitting the wineries and ended up at the Crown Suites as they had live music and ended the night there (A fantastic full bar in the basement!). The room was done up to look "antiquey", with lots of cool old decor....though the room had all the modern things you would need! We got up in the morning and had a wonderful full breakfast that was included with our room! An excellent place to stay as this is in a central spot, easy to get to, with the trolley and transportation available. We will be coming back! read more

Our experience was so relaxing. Every one of their employees were friendly and accommodating. We felt it from the check-in to the stay to the cleaning staff. The accomodations were roomy. The bed was extremely comfortable. I didn't know where they get their pillows, but I want to know. We had all we needed in the mini kitchenette, including a cork screw. The room was very quiet and the decorwas beautiful. We visited the cellar bar our first night. We had the best time. Met some people who actually live near us. The beer hall table led to many fun interactions. I stuck to the sangria. It was so good, way too easy going down. Thankfully our room was only a short staircase away. We used the Crown Suites Shuttle. It was was so worth the cost. Claude drive us all over. We had his personal number for pickups. He told us history of Hermann and gave excellent recommendations. All of our pickups were very quick. I'd recommend them over that old Trolley any day. We look forward to coming back for our next visit. read more

Super bizarre experience where the groom somehow rented out a private room for our rehearsal dinner but somehow the private room ended up being the space they use for continental breakfast in the morning. We were under the impression there would be service and a real room but that was not the case. Even with this misunderstanding, it was very odd how there were no front desk staff anywhere to be found when we arrived. In fact, other patrons besides our group were also wandering around trying to find help. When we finally found someone they had us go get food from their grill which is actually outside in another building. The food was not great, my friends couldn't finish their pizzas and my veggie burger, which was $15, was obviously a MorningStar Chipolte patty like you can buy in a giant pack for $10 from Costco. read more

We stayed in the Shepherd's Suite for 7 nights and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The owners and staff were the ultimate professionals and were fun to be around and talk with. The room far exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier! The continental breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety, if you walk away hungry from that selection, it's your own fault. The nightly music was really enjoyable and the food from the 1837 Grill was delicious! We will gladly stay with Hermann Crown Suites again! read more

My wife and I booked a few nights here at this quaint little hotel for our anniversary. The town was pretty quiet while we were there and we were the only guests in the whole place. We were treated well by staff and given a cook to order breakfast each day. We loved this place so much, maybe someday we can come back. I recommend for the prices and the staff. We stayed in the Victorian Suite and it was not very "Victorian." A few cute Victorian pieces thrown in amongst modern cheap pieces. But that being said, I'm a California with snobby taste. The staff was very cordial and the prices not too bad for what you get (at least compared to what I'm used to). Generally good. The breakfast bar is very decent. Room was mostly clean, not to military standard. It's fine. Downsides: They claim that cleaning your room is an invasion of privacy. Which is a choice. The folks who are stumbling to the next winery are right outside your door. If you look closely, the updates are cheap and unfinished, need attention. Please clean towels before deployment. We paid a lot in tips for no service. Like 30%. No cleaning, had to ask for it. Not cool. Bottom line, premium prices for a middling facility. Needs some more professionalism. If you aren't traveling a lot, avoid the shuttle fee. read more

Disappointed by the promise of services, that had been pre tipped for at check in and none preformed. When brought up at checkout, was given excuses and no compensation given for miss-leading expectations. Warm breakfast bar was nice. Staff had been helpful with transportation information. The historic town is lovely. Be mindful if you want restful nights, as there are many loud intoxicated people walking the later hours. read more

Stayed here again and now I'm convinced we will never stay any other place in Hermann (so long as this place is available). My husband and I scheduled a trip here after my baby was born as a way of de-stressing. When we arrived and Jennifer saw that we had a baby, she moved us to a room closer to the entrance that was in the main building. What was nice is that the master bedroom (which is separate from the entrance and bathroom) had no shared walls....something especially important when traveling with an infant. Jennifer truly went above and beyond for us. We needed some fresh water to mix with our formula and when she heard we were going to go out to Save-A-Lot to buy it, she proceeded to get us a jug for free. SUPER kind. She also held the elevator when it was time to bring our belongings upstairs. In addition to great customer service, the same things I said in the last review apply. They have a free shuttle (which includes Endless Summer Winery and Lost Creek Vineyard--two places the Hermann Trolley doesn't go to) and each guest gets a free alcoholic beverage from the bar downstairs (tons of options to choose from--basically wine from all over the area and some beers too). On Friday and Saturday nights, you can even order some appetizers/food from their bar, which is nice. Similar to other places in Hermann, our stay included breakfast. I was relatively impressed with their continental breakfast. They had toast, english muffins, cereal, milk, juice, donuts, eggs, hash browns, yogurt, sausage, and more. In terms of the room, each room has a DVD player, a small TV screen, and a kitchenette (microwave and small fridge). I found the bed and bedding extremely comfortable. I also really appreciated that there were TWO fans in our bedroom and ear plugs on the nightstand. The toiletries were also pretty impressive. Whatever shampoo/conditioner sample they had left my hair feeling so smooth, and I loved how many soft towels they put in the room. In sum, can't recommend a better place to stay, especially considering the price! I definitely plan to return. read more

Quaint location. Right on the main stretch for walking fantastic Hermann. We stayed in the Angel room. Very cute decorations. The one lamp did not work in the room. Working TV and electric fireplace. The checkin was a breeze and the clerk very helpful. Unfortunately there is no one there to address individual issues after hours. It indicated a hot breakfast was served from 8a-11a. We went downstairs at 9:15. No more biscuits , gravy or eggs left. The next morning we were there at 8:05 yea. Breakfast was fine. Small bumps aside we will stay there again. read more

Not only is this place surrounded by cute shops, restaurants and wineries, it boasts one of the most chill entertainment spaces around! Live music on the patio and great drinks from the bar in the basement made this BnB style hotel a super find! From the moment we entered and were greeted warmly to seeing our spacious, spotless suite to the hot breakfast (biscuits and gravy are a must), we were thrilled. I was planning a 'girls weekend' with my best friend for her birthday and recent promotion. The pictures on the website immediately had my attention, but I was worried, because, like, you know how that is sometimes. IT WAS CUTER AND MORE ADORABLE THAN THE PICTURES. They didn't do our suite justice! We stayed in the 'Call Me' suite and it was OH EM GEE so cute. Beyond clean. VERY WELL insulated and had two exit points which is awesome for someone like myself who likes to always have an exit strategy in place when she is unfamiliar with environment. Not a speck of dirt or grime, and fully stocked with stuff we didn't even need. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE STAFF. Every single person was crazy helpful. Heather at the bar in the HOLY CRAP, AMAZINGLY COOL CAVERN BAR in the basement was professional, but funny and kind. She was spectacular. And was handling a TROOP of wildly loud and crazy people down there on her own and with amazing grace and humor. She is excellent. The lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful, and even the dudes standing outside at night taking a break were graciously polite and awesome in giving us directions when we were headed to our next scene. Just an awesome place with an awesome atmosphere and and you can tell the employees take PRIDE in the building, it's history and their daily work to provide memorable experiences for us strangers passing through. My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we were so comfortable! Our room felt like home and the location of this hotel is perfect! The reasonably priced shuttle service worked out so well.. we had Lisa and she felt like family by day's end. Her recommendations were perfect as was her driving. The location was perfect as we could walk out the door walk around town all weekend. Started our mornings with a fresh, hot, complimentary breakfast. This is a very nice hotel, but I don't believe its deserving of the "over the top" comments mentioned in other reviews. The rooms are clean, but a little dated. The breakfast is good... fairly normal to other hotels, but with better coffee and the option for a made to order waffle. They have a beer garden with music, starting Wednesday nights. The solo singer/guitar player on our Wednesday was pleasant. One item to note: If you stay more than one night, you will be asked (very directly) to leave a tip when you check in! If you decline and mention that you'll tip "as you go", you'll be informed that you will NOT receive fresh towels during your stay. If you click on their prominent tip boxes on the iPad display, this will amount to a fair sum... much more than most people tip at a hotel of this quality. Be forewarned, and don't succumb to the startle effect of this uncommon process. read more

The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Loved how they preserved the history and original design of the rooms and were very well maintained. We stayed in the Worlds Fair Suite. Our bedroom faced Market Street and there was considerable traffic and pedestrian noise during the night. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and shops, most wineries were within very short drive. The free hot breakfast was good. The 1837 Cellar Bar, located downstairs in the hotel, and outdoor patio had great live music. We will definitely return! read more

This was the first time we stopped in the beautiful little town of Hermann Missouri & we will visit it again. It was the off season but I'm sure it would be an awesome place to visit from Spring through Fall. We aren't necessarily B&B fans but they mostly have B&B in Hermann. Hermann Crown Suites was awesome. It was so quaint and so very clean. We were very impressed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. There were a couple of minor, teething issues, regarding Wifi access and HVAC, but nothing to detract from giving this hotel a high rating. Good value for Hermann. We stayed in the flower suite, which was spacious and very clean. This place is right off the main road, making it easy to find and close to local restaurants and wineries. Each guest gets a complimentary drink for their private bar. You can take advantage of their private shuttle for free to go around to different wineries. Would highly recommend coming here for a weeknight to get a more personal experience. There is a fire pit and lots of outside seating. Would strongly recommend. read more

Class at it's finest. From the moment my family and I walked in to this establishment, we knew that our stay would be a nice one. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. We are here over the Thanksgiving weekend and are being pampered. We are staying in the Vineyard room. This is a two bedroom large suite with plenty of room for entertaining. As mentioned by other reviewers, it's the little touches that make this place exceptional. We went out for our Thanksgiving lunch fully intending to eat snacks later for dinner. When they announced they had setup a Thanksgiving spread for us in the bar, we were pleasantly surprised. After a wonderful supper we then headed out to the courtyard were they had set up a fire for us all to sit around and enjoy. You will not go wrong staying here! read more

My husband and I booked a room here so we could celebrate our first anniversary. Upon our arrival, we discovered they they double booked and we didn't have a room. We spoke to someone named Steve and his first words were that my husband and I would get a free weekend stay with him in the future. Steve and my husband called many different places in Hermann and initially found nothing. Because of his mistake, he offered to pay for our dinner at Stone Hill. Steve agreed also to let us stay in the World's Fair room over a weekend in the future and asked for my husbands e-mail and his phone number. Steve said he would send my husband an e-mail with available dates of when we could return the next day (Sunday). We then asked for a place to change since we had no room to do so and were offered the hotel bathrooms to change - Never did I think I would be changing in a bathroom stall to get ready for my anniversary dinner. After we left, he was contacted back by another person who had a room for us. We ended up staying at the Wharf Street Inn (which we would HIGHLY recommend!). Never once did Steve say that he was now not giving us a free weekend anymore because of this, he just said that he found a room and the owner would be contacting us. My husband heard nothing back from him until Wednesday. Upon hearing back from him, he has now gone back on what he said and no longer is going to give us a free weekend because he already gave us dinner and got us the other room. He said that with him being out all of the money that he already is, he can't afford that, but he'll give us a discount. If that was going to be the case, he should have said that immediately when he contacted us when he found us the other room. This is extreme poor customer service, as this was making up for our stress of sitting in the hotel for an hour and a half sitting and listening to him making phone calls and not to mention all of the time we lost not getting to do things. Also, this would have been a perfect opportunity to make us fall in love with this hotel and make us want to come back year after year. This makes us realize that dollars take precedence over customer satisfaction. He refuses to make good on his deal and has therefore lost any future business of ours. read more
