Hi, this is my first visit to this restaurant. We chose it because our friends look for good gluten-free options. This place does fit the bill for that. For our breakfast, we had the ham and cheese quiche and I had the burnt ends omelette. I'd never quite had an omelette like that, but it was delicious, the burnt ends were tender and it had broccoli in it, which was a nice healthy option and it was covered in green chili queso. All in all a great experience, good food and the service was great and will certainly be back again.

My goodness gracious lawddddddddd Heritage Cafe is the BEST Cafe I've ever had in my life! That's big since Texas has tons of cafes! Heritage Cafe offers breakfast and Lunch options and everything is freshly baked cooked, purposely sourced, and made with love. You can taste it. Staff is super welcoming and friendly! Attentive 100! It seems like they have a lot of locals and regulars because the staff remembers people by name. That was awesome to see they ask how their customers family is doing. Love to see that! The highly ranked reviews of this place says it all. The food is phenomenal! We ordered: Monkey bread: 100000000/100000000 5/5xtrillion lol if that's possible I would give this to them. The monkey bread is the best ive ever had! Our waitress recommended this since it one of their top seller and they make fresh daily because they sell out! It's little knots of heavy! It's like a cinnamon bun but in knots on steriods. Salty sweet and addictedly so good you can't stop eating it! Now I am forever ruined and dreaming of these from Texas! If Hertiage Cafe would ship these I would order it! * pork pig Benny: 3/5 the pull pork was a bit salty and over powering. The hollidaise sauce was a flavor bomb! That duck fat made the sauce so special and craveable! The eggs were cooked perfectly! Pico was pico. The hash browns were the best! The crispy bits were so good and I love that they weren't greasy! * burn ends Benny: 4/5 I think this one was way better then the pork piggy Benny. Meat wasn't dry or over salted . Perfect and tasty! English muffin was yummy! Soft yet crispy from it being toasted! *London fog: 4/5 tasty! * 2 sliced of thick bacon for $6.95- 1/5 not worth it. The bacon wasn't anything special for that price. I know it's high quality bacon but it tastes the same as any thick bacon I've had before. Do I recommend this place? If you haven't tried Heritage Cafe, you haven't had the best cafe in your life. Yes you heard it. Highly recommend with flying colors and in bold! Get the monkey bread and Benny! I can't wait to return to try their other items. We were hoping we would have time to come back to try their other items on the menu but we ran out of time during our trip and didn't get a chance to which I'm super bummed! It's so freaking good!

This place was a really nice surprise. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super friendly service and a great homestyle vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They use clarified butter, no chemicals and/or duck fat for their meals. The quality is fantastic. We each had a quality homemade latte. The shrimp and grits are amazing, the shrimp are huge and the flavor is so vibrant. My wife had the ham steak and eggs with the homemade biscuit--they had homemade peach jam! We also split the cinnamonster, which really is as good as they brag about.

This little cafe tucked into the corner of a shopping center was our choice for a Sunday morning breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated immediately in a cozy little space. It was so cute and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was right on top of taking care of us. We ordered coffee, candied bacon, chilaquiles, and biscuit and gravy. The candied bacon came out right away, it was a large portion and was such a perfect blend of spice, sweetness and crunch. Our entrees came out a few moments later and they were absolutely beautiful. The chilaquiles were exquisite. So many restaurants make them soggy but these were just right, a blend of cheese, beautiful salsa verde and crunchy chips. The biscuits and gravy were different but in a good way-the cream gravy was made with steak and jalapeno which I hadn't had but was delicious on the fluffy biscuits. Everyone here was very helpful and kind. This is a spot you don't want to miss!

Allergen Friendly! Gluten free selection is huge. We have tons of allergies including gluten, dairy, nuts, seed oils etc and they took care of it all! All of our drinks and food were fantastic. Amazing service from Michelle and everyone else too! We had a delicious brunch here on a Sunday at 10am. There were plenty of gluten free options, including GF pancakes, Belgian waffles, toast, buns and English muffins. It took less than 10 minutes for the three of us to get a table. I ordered an Americano and the Porky Pig Benedict on GF muffin, with hollandaise on the side, and fruit. Both my drink and meal were fantastic. My friend ordered the Charlie sandwich, with the upgraded shaved ham. She said the sandwich was delicious, ham worth the upcharge, and the side of hashbrowns were perfect. My other friend ordered the AvoBowl, and she said it was fine, but lacked in flavor. We also ordered the seasonal citrus pancake to share, customized to be gluten free. When the food came out, I asked if what the served us was gluten free to be sure, and the food runner recognized that it likely wasn't. They quickly addressed it, let our friend who can eat gluten take that one home, and remade us a GF cake. I appreciate their quick honesty and how they made it right (and the seasonal cake was delicious!) This restaurant was bustling but our drinks were constantly refilled by our attentive server. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came here with just my friends but would easily come back with my kids, too. It's a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Someone recommended this place, and I must say that even though the service and food were good, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't particularly enjoy eating breakfast, having flies flying around me and around the table. I spotted three flies!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told the waiter, but there is not much they can do. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If I was sitting outside, I could understand, but inside? No, thank you![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will not come back. You can go and try it out; the food is not bad! Good luck!

We have been coming here since shortly after opening and it's hard for us to go anywhere else for brunch. The service is always outstanding, and the made from scratch food is some of the best around. Had a lovely experience at Heritage recently! The restaurant was packed on a Saturday morning, there was a small wait which went by pretty quickly. Our server was wonderful (Maria maybe?), she was kind and friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. The food came very quickly and was pretty good. We ordered an array of items, everything was as ordered, and was quite tasty. Especially for the price, we had plenty of leftovers and are looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

First time eating here, came on a Saturday before 9:00am (which is the move). Get here early! When we walked out there were crowds of people waiting for a table. Menu has a lot of options, it's hard to pick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating was not as tight as some other reviews mention, I thought there was plenty of room and even ADA accessible spots.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the Monkey Bread as a starter (feeds 4 people easily) and probably should have stopped there, so filling and probably 4 sticks of butter in it. It was SO GOOD. I had the Duck Fat Hash with "Burnt Ends," these weren't exactly burnt ends, they were soft brisket chunks but were so good. Would 100% get again and add on some pork green chili. My partner got the Chimichanga w/ Steak , this was the reason for 4 stars, either it was the Queso or something else but it was so salty, it just wasn't edible. The beans also tasted old. We sent back this order but the server was incredibly nice and took it off the bill and offered to get him something else. They have a few new bussers who are working on getting some experience, they did well picking up after others. I would say they just need to work on not wiping food scraps on the floor but otherwise they did great. We will be back to try more of their awesome menu items!

Stopped by last weekend around 10am and this place was busy but we got there at just the right time that we were seated almost immediately. Traditional breakfast menu with a little of everything . Ordered a Bloody Mary and it was delicious. Since I couldn't decide I opted for a Basic breakfast pasture raised eggs, hash browns , bacon and French toast . Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp the bacon was one of the stars of the show . Overall I'd recommend but the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the prices are a bit high but they advertise organic , local products .

Came here for my sons Birthday for breakfast on Monday morning. The waitress was all on her own at the time but still food came fast and she was very sweet(don't know her name). The food was good-a little pricey but sadly the norm these days. Lot of options to choose from and it was clean in the inside. We will definitely be back again! This little gem is tucked away in the corner (Aurora Parkway and Gartrell) of the strip mall near the old Safeway. Definitely family run which of course is great. The staff is friendly, attentive and welcoming. I ordered the traditional Benny. The eggs were poached perfectly. The homemade hollandaise sauce is fresh. Not too much either. I also ordered the hash brown bites with a cheddar cheese sauce. They are filling. They appear to have a breading mixed in. They are golden brown and very good. I received 5 bites which I couldn't finish. My friend ordered the omelette with spinach and mushroom. It looked good. The only criticism would be that the spinach was not evenly spread through the omelette. Spinach was lumped at one end. She also had English muffins with home made blueberry jelly. Delivery after ordering was fast. Upon arriving the restaurant had a good amount of patrons. We didn't have to wait. I recommend this place. Wow. Had a reservation for this new place on our "to try" list. Loved how it wasn't stock breakfast dishes but fun varieties that were delicious. Upon entry of the parking lot the hubs and I were a little alarmed as there wasn't one car parked near the restaurant. Hubs wanted to walk away but I said "No, reviews are good and I want to support a local join, we are going." He agreed because, I'm just awesome like that . It was indeed empty with two helpful waitstaff ready to help. Menu was simple which was nice because sometimes too much can be overwhelming. The waiter, explained how they are 95% scratch made kitchen which was cool. We started with hash brown bites and of course some water ran through the yum yum machine...coffee. They even had my favorite french vanilla creamer which I shouldn't have but love! The hubs settled on some skillet beautifully plated and he said it was really good. I enjoyed biscuits and gravy as that's not something we enjoy often in our house. (The why is annoying so we will leave it out) They had a couple options for gravies but once I saw jalapeño gravy, it was over! Now I will say, I said no sides so the plate looked kind of sad but don't let that fool you the biscuits were so soft and not stale tasting which can happen when made the day before. The gravy was so creamy and spicy! Loved it! This was a great place to find since we are not fans of the typical go to joint in SE Aurora. Enjoyed going there to have brunch with my sister and nephew, while I was visiting my fav fam. Don't tell my bro/sis it's just she's our baby sister. Food was solid, fresh, waitress was definitely a scatter brain. She forgot many items and had to play catch. "Oh you didn't ask for that.... not please excuse me I didn't hear you. When clearly, I was very specific on crispy bacon and things of that nature. She seem to spend more time talking to the fellas in the back, which is nice to see people that work together getting along, but what is the time in a place. But hey not everybody is capable double tasking. We're New Yorkers New Yorkers are very specific about their orders. read more

My 7 year old daughter: "Dad... give this place a 5 star review now!" "My favorite was the monkey bread... I also loved the pancakes and French toast. The egg yoke (sunny side up) was perfectly cooked. And I dug the maple syrup." My thoughts: Great place, great service. Our first time there. Daughter got strawberry lemonade drink which was VERY sweet, so she switched to my orange juice (different kids, different taste buds, I'm sure). We had the monkey bread and candied bacon for appetizers. The monkey bread was amazing. To be honest, the candied bacon was a bit thinner cuts than I'm normally used to... but the flavoring (and red pepper spiciness) made for one of my favorite candied bacons yet. Though, I didn't realize it was spicy and my daughter started with... "wow, I love this"... but ended with a "mmm no thank you" and reaching for my orange juice haha. If you like a touch of spice... it's amazing. I didn't get the chance to try any of the marquee breakfast dishes and just ordered the basic. Still, all of the quality was top notch for the basics as well (French toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, etc). Overall... we'll be back. read more

They changed the potatoes from good hash browns to chunky potatoe bites. Bisquits were flat 1/2 " discs. They used to be 3" high and fluffy. Very disappointing the last time I ate there. It used to be so good. read more

The bloody Mary's are not good. Bad in fact. Several people at our table wouldn't even drink it. Food is way overpriced....it's mediocre food, and ok service, but for the price I will not go there again. If the drinks were even tolerable, maybe I could get talked into going back, but not with those bloodys. read more

Well where to start. I try to support small businesses whenever I can, but this will be my last time at Heritage and my last recommendation to friends and family. I understand inflation and I understand trying to make money. But what happens today boggles my mind. Ordered an appetizer of Jalapeño bacon. No price on the menu, should have been a clue. 5 strips came out and I'm not talking a slab of bacon, not even thick cut, regular bacon. When the check came it was $12.95!!! That is $2.59 per slice of bacon!!!! ROBBERY!!! But it gets better. Then ordered a side of toast. Regular sourdough toast, 2 slices cut in half for a total of 4 pieces as you would normally get anywhere with breakfast. That charge......$4.95!!!!! $2.47 per slice of bread!!!! So for two people to eat with an app, 1 coffee, two meals and a side of toast with tip (20%) for a grand total of $70 for breakfast for two. That is absurd and why I will never go back here. read more

The food is so good! You can taste that everything is from scratch - not frozen or bulk. Really fresh. We split the breakfast burrito and hash brown bites - highly recommend. They also make lots of dipping sauces and serve fresh squeezed OJ. read more

This is a solid choice for restaurants in the area. We live to catch up with friends and family for meals and Heritage has been a great location. This is a VERY popular location and the food has been great! The generous portions make my husband happy but the variety has been a blessing for when we have several palates to satisfy. read more

I can't say enough about this local, family run restaurant. There are no bells and whistles. What you get is a clean space, great wait staff, quick service and great food cooked fresh on the spot. I was particularly surprised at the delicious coffee as well as a few other beverage choices. Note: they don't sell alcohol but you can still enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch. The weekend wait times are a bit longer but they use an app the updates you while you wait and there are benches to sit and wait outside. They are not big box dining and that's what makes them great. Food is mediocre. Everything is pretty overpriced. Staff is total crap, inpatient and rude including the manger. Wont be back. In response to the managers review. It wasn't that the server didn't smile, that's a really condescending thing to say. She rolled her eyes at us several times, rushed us and had a rude demeanor. She wasn't pleasant, cut and dry and made us feel like we were a burden. I'm sure she's disappointed with her life choices leading to a career as a sub par server. You came over and we expressed our frustration and you were as condescending in person as you were to the reply of my review. PS- we could accept the rudeness (so much so that we still left a 20% tip) of your staff but your terrible attitude AS THE OWNER is what prompted the review. You also must be hallucinating because this is my first, well deserved, 1 star review. John, since you feel the need to update your reply for the third time, I'm wondering, do you feel big saying you should have asked us to leave when this all happened while we were on our way out? You seem to be the type that likes to feel like a big man. Did your mother not hug you enough? A friend of mine who is a local here recommended this spot for breakfast. Pretty straightforward breakfast spot they do not serve anything with alcohol. The breakfast was great and the service was also sweet and kind. I tried their cinnamon bun which was a huge cinnamon bun overwhelmingly sweet but if you pair it up with coffee it's a perfect combination other than that I had the egg Benedict which was good. read more

My wife and I went to Heritage Cafe for the first time today. It's a great place for lunch and breakfast. We love the clean and fresh new look of the restaurant. But most of all we loved the creative ideas for breakfast and the food was outstanding. I doesn't end there the staff was very friendly and outgoing. Mediocre breakfast, high prices. Although the quality of the food was good, I have to say that I was disappointed by the portion sizes in relation to the prices. While I understand that some establishments charge a premium for high-quality ingredients and unique dishes, I felt that the prices here were not commensurate with the quantity of food served. The dishes were tasty and well-prepared, but I found myself leaving the restaurant still feeling hungry, despite paying a premium price for my meal. I believe that for the amount of money charged, the portions should have been more generous. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food, but only if you are prepared to pay a premium price for a small portion size.
