Nice people, fast service, and the food hits the spot!

Love this place. Just really good old fashioned hamburgers and great fries. Shakes are great too. What's not to like?

We made the mistake of not checking Yelp as we passed through Olympia and decided to just stop at Herfy's for a burger and a wee. At least the wee was good. Frozen patties, 'special sauce' was not good...couldn't even drink the chocolate milkshake. We left in a worse mood than we arrived and I still regret walking in the door. the food was overall nasty it tasted like a frozen dinner and there ranch is from a tube from walmart and she didn't wanna stir it so she gave us tarder sauce 2 times saying it was ranch until she got caught slackin. you have to peel the flavorless bredding off the zucchini to even taste the zucchini. read more

I had the origanal chicken sandwich (crispy) with curly fries, and a medium soda. I was a little bit nervous to eat my food, because it totalled at about $10, and from what I read on the other yelp reviews, it wouldn't really be worth it. Boy, was I wrong! My burger was delicious, with a thick piece of chicken, and a thin, crispy breading. My fries were great also! A little pricy, but overall worth it! read more

Variety in menu from Seafood to burgers and chicken as well as milkshakes it's a good place to try! The fries are amazing as well as the gtg sauce they have. No lines and food comes out fast. Clean and sanitized tables with moderate service. read more

Ordered a burger w/o mayo. It came out with mayo of course. Asked it to be redone and when it came back out it had the same condiments on it as well as the original bun. Lettuce was all wilted. Not pleased. read more

After getting scolded by the owner, we will never go back. For my very picky child, I ordered a plain hamburger with just ketchup. I then specified (twice) that it should only be meat, ketchup and bun. When our order came out, my son's burger had cheese on it. I took it back and explained that I specified just meat, ketchup and bun. The very nice girl at the counter apologized and took it back to the kitchen, and I heard the owner telling her she should have asked if we wanted cheese on it. When the burger was done, the owner came out and instead of just handing it to me, she held on to the burger while she told me how I should have ordered it so I wouldn't waste so much food. As we were walking out, the owner started in on the girl at the counter about it again. read more

This place must be connected to the old Herfy's that was the Clover Park and Lakes High hangout a long time back (it was right next to Villa Plaza -- which is now Lakewood Towne Center). The same tastes-like-it-was-frozen (because it probably was) burger patty and the definitely previously-frozen crinkle-cut fries. It's old school. You're not going to get Bobby Flay's Wagyu sliders. You will get a decent burger for a decent price. Keep your expectations low and you'll be okay. The place could have been cleaner. Okay -- take my review with a grain of salt. Ehh. It's okay. I visited on a weekend pretty recently and ordered a Hawaiian burger and a chocolate/ banana shake. The Hawaiian burger is chicken with pineapple and whatnot. When I asked about the salmon burger, I was told it was a fried patty but it could be grilled if I preferred. That seemed weird. Then I noticed one of the employees pouring torani syrup into a cup... a lot of it. I assumed they were making some special soda or something. Nope. That syrup was banana flavoring for my shake. Yuck. I hate banana flavoring; my fault, I should have asked. The Hawaiian burger was alright; nothing better than what you might get at a Carl's Jr in my opinion. All in all, I am not a burger person in general, and this place was okay but did nothing to change that. Plus I spent around $15 for a burger and a shake... Oh yeah and I got some poppers. First time here. I got a morning burger I think its called? With an egg on it. The food is delicious. They have like 5 different kinds of fries and I didnt get one but they have a large shake menu. Its a little pricey. I spent about 13 on just me with a drink, fries, and a burger but the food quality was excellent and portions were a good size. I'll def be back for a a shake! read more

Maybe I'm a value for the cost person but I though fish and chips sounded great, and they have a permanent banner proclaiming just that. It was $6 dollars for a three piece meal. This amounted to three smallish fish nuggets with more crisp than fish. And a large pile of cheap factory fries. I barely got the sensation or taste of fish. I'm not impressed I would have assumed larger thick fish pieces for that price. read more

I love Herfy's. Until In N' Out comes along, this will be my favorite place to grab a burger and fries. Bacon blue cheese burgers are my favorite. Love the sauce, especially when dipping the fries in it!! read more

Herfy's has amazing sweet potato fries. Their burgers are large and not shy about sauce. I usually get a kids size burger and sweet potato fries because a regular size burger is too much for me to finish in one sitting. I would say it's pretty similar to Eagan's or Big Tom's, thin meat patty with a good amount of veggies and a healthy dose of sauce. They have a good selection of sides: fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, sweet potato fries, fried mozarella, etc.. and a huge list of milk shake flavors. Good food for when you crave a juicy burger. I have eaten here a few times and will continue to go back. read more

I ordered the Herfys 1/4lb burger w/o cheese. The veggies were not fresh but worst of all the patty was quite thin and very dry! All I could really taste was the bread of the bun since there was a lot of that. It also reminded me of Kirkland Signature from Costco. Disappointing. read more

My roommate recommended me this place for a decent burger, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The cashier was very kind and friendly, but the food is really lacking. I got a 'piggy' burger, fries and a shake. The fries were those sad freezer-aisle fries, desperately lacking a hot oil bath and a good shake of salt. The 'piggy' burger was dry, largely flavorless and hardly even hot. The shake was the only decent thing I ordered. For the price ($14 for my three items) and the quality of the food, I would not recommend eating here. read more

I use to live near herfys and would go for the 2 herfys burgers for four dollars on the constant. Amaazing hangover food. Also amazing sweet potato crinkle fries, which are super good with the fry sauce. read more

Terrible! Ordered a burger and fries at 11 am on Saturday and drove 2 blocks back to the shop and opened my burger to bite into a cold burger with the cheese not melted at all. So when was the patties actually made? the night before??? Not the way to cook meat. Not going back!!!! read more

I like this burger joint simply because the menu has lots of choices. Salmon burgers, fried zucchini, and my wife's favorite, sweet potato fries. For fast food, it's hard to beat big tasty burgers for under $6. read more

Super yummy! My fiancé got a burger and I got fish and chips! The fries were nothing special but the fry sauce was amazing! The fish batter reminded me of chicken katsu. It wasn't a normal batter for fish and chips but still absolutely delicious! And cheap for the amount of food I got. The burger was a little pricey but my fiancé liked it a lot! Will for sure be back, not bad for a random stop because we were starving! read more

The burgers are over priced because they are very bland no flavor no season nothing. It's not worth the money I spent over fifteen dollars on a burger and fries and I would have rather gone to burger king. I would not recommend eating here because the food taste awful and it is very expensive the service is terrible. I had to ask for large fries three times and they over charged me for my meal. When I brought this to there attention the cashier rolled her eyes and walked to the back of the restaurant. I was given my meal and I told them they over charged me for my fries and they said you should've said something before. If we give you back your money we will be short in the register so next time say something. Again the cashier went back to kitchen and would not come out. Never again what a rip off. read more

A co-worker and I decided to give this place a try after readng the reviews on here.. first impression was the place was dirty.. Floors, walls, counters, everything. However, the gal that took our order was nice. The food was good, and fairly cheap. I got the #2 (Which is the 1/3 lbs cheeseburger, Fries and Med drink) I think it was 6 bucks or less. Talk about a TON of food - the burger was huge, and the fries were large as well. I would probably go back.. but order a smaller burger and comment if the place wasnt cleaned up.. read more
