Akashic Burger and Gun Powder Fries

The Akashic burger is the BEST burger around! And the dipping sauce for the gin powder fries is *chefs kiss* I highly recommend this place and will always Combe back for more!

This is my favorite food in Olympia! Absolutely delicious flavors, super friendly staff, and what gorgeous presentation - every time! Nice bonus to have Three Magnets next door to have a nice spot to sit down and eat. I LOVE eating Akashic's dishes!

Anunnaki Burger and Gun Powder Fries

The food is unlike anything over ever had before. The Akashic burger was the first thing I ever tried, and oh my it was life changing. Last time we went I tried the Anunnaki burger and it was.... Just amazing. I wanted to cry while I was eating it. I don't have many words that could accurately describe how good this burger was. The service is always top tier. It's always the two same people so sometimes you the wait is long. But it's WORTH IT. I really love this food trailer and the two who operate it clearly love what they do.

This is a pretty solid and unique food trailer. My son and I both enjoyed our burgers. There are a lot of "fancy schmancy" offerings so if you are not adventurous with your food, you will not like it here. Lots of different items to try. Pretty expensive for a food truck but there ingredients are quality so if you have extra discretionary funds for food then this place is good. Situated next to Abbys cupcakes so grab a cupcake when you are done :)

First nights dinner- Nicos salad. Loaded with stuff and very colorful!

I stayed in Olympia for 3 nights and I went to Akashic for two out of my three dinners. Quick (But not too quick- the food is fresh!), good price for the quality, and some really unique options. On the first night I got the Nicos salad. The catch of the day was sockeye salmon. I liked this salad because it's almost exactly what I eat on a daily basis- greens, roasted veggies, and a protein. It's a good healthy option if you don't want fried food! Good portion size. My only negative comments are that my carrots were underdone and my salmon was a little overcooked for my preference. Gun powder fries were good. A notch up fro. Normal fries with the spices on them! Curry? Garam masala? Unsure. Dipping sauce was bomb. I'm suspecting some sort of mayo concotion. Came back the next night because I had already began to salivate about the Weaver when I woke up - a curry dish with rice, Indian curry, and the fresh catch (again, sockeye). This is a lot of rice for someone who doesn't eat too much rice (Ok- I'm the idiot who knowingly ordered the rice dish, knowing I don't like to eat much rice). I would have preferred it over veggies but I'm weird. Curry was good, I could have done with more on my plate but I understand that some people don't like that! I initially told myself I wasn't going to finish the entire dish because it was a lot of rice, but here I am with a clear plate in front of me. Solid option for a healthier dinner/lunch. Prices are higher than a typical meal, but this an example is the classic "you get what you pay for" saying. Fresh, healthy, flavorful, can't get much better than that!

Pros: Chill lounge/sitting area at the front corner with sofas, a low bar (accessibility friendly) and board games. Big tables to accommodate groups and various bar seating. Large brewery menu screens with large range and the food looked good. Tbh we came for brews so can't comment on food. The Wildman Beer brand was so-so. Some better than others! Cons: FOH staff interaction. Why we love pubs/breweries is because of the chill, friendly, conversational flow of FOH; their knowledge of the beers and/or cocktails, their passion for sharing it with new customers so they come back again and again ... this vibe fell short at Wildman. TL;DR Good for a basic group of people looking for a brewery experience in town with room for large groups. Not for those who are expecting an awesome brewery experience -- a la PDX, DEN, PHX, ATX or SEA.

But when I saw that they opened up a location in Olympia and Steve and I were going to Olympia for a show it made perfect sense to go to this new location. Downtown where our show was is super walkable and this brewery is right there. When we went in what escaped my attention at the Raymond location was that I was particularly impressed with their own mead selection. And the mead did not disappoint in the slightest. The first mead I had was their Oak Aged Classic Mead. Such fantastic balance in body and the oak flavor was truly impressive! I got another mead from the list, the Sneaky Bastard Meer. It's called meer I believe due to the five different kinds of hops they put into it. Great floral and honey flavored highlights! Our experience here was excellent! Steve enjoyed his drink selections as well! Definitely returning for more mead enjoyment!

They had one guy taking orders who seemed to be the owner and one guy working the grill. When I arrived there were already a few people waiting which isn't uncommon. I placed my order for, A double deluxe. Pretty straightforward. Double cheeseburger really. People continued to arrive as we all continued to wait. 40 minutes later I got my burger. Just finished it. Shockingly, it was quite good. Tasted like it always has so I was stoked. That being said, the service was problematic to say the least. Their cashier who I can only assume is the owner was bickering with the guy on the grill and publicly. They were arguing over workflow on what should be prioritized, what he needed, etc. They did this in front of us. There must have been at least six of us waiting inside and out. The lack of professionalism was disappointing. The food was still good but I don't think I'll go back. There are other places who make a good burger like Tom's, or Vans!

This is not a sit-down restaurant, but for a busy person like me, it was just what I needed. The food came out piping hot and in a jiffy. I got the garlic jalapeño dipping sauce instead of plain old tartar, which the kind gentleman behind the counter recommended, and now I 10/10 it too. I am on crutches right now, and since I had a short wait for the food, they kindly suggested that I wait in the car comfortably and brought my food and drink that I ordered right out to me. What awesome, top-tier service!

Being Russian I wasn't expecting too much having never been to an Eastern European restaurant, but it tasted great! I wasn't disappointed at all, and me and my friend finished our entire plates. There is a good selection of dumplings and toppings, as well as other food & treats, including borscht and dill pickles. Drinks are limited to those in the stand up fridge, or water from a self serve cooler. The dumplings are good, but decidedly underwhelming for $1.04 a dumpling (18 pieces = $18.80). We had the Alaskan and the Classic, and while enjoyable, I didn't think they were anything to write home about. Meh. Our total bill for two 18 piece plates, a square of honey cake and 1 can of soda was over $45, not including tip. While the old Security & White Building location has a charming vibe, the upstairs seating is definitely NOT easily accessible for those with mobility challenges. I want to like this place more, so I might be back to try their piroshki.
