I had a local move, with 2 movers moving mostly light furniture for 1 bdrm, 2 floors, with a basement. I got a quote, flat 115.00 for travel (required) which is pretty standard compared to other places, and 115.00/hour which was hard to beat (with a 2 hour minimum). Which matches up with their site's estimation tool. Our move was so close, so I'm not sure if after a certain distance if there's a gas fee or anything. We were moving apts a few houses over so they didn't end up using the truck. They arrived on time, and called beforehand. They were quick, had great teamwork, were always mindful of space and keeping masks on around us, and ended a bit under the 2 hours. They even got our treadmill into the basement without issue. They were super polite to me, offered bubble wrap and stuff but I said no. I had a couple scuffs on the walls that the wrap probably would've helped avoid, so I don't blame them for it. They also didn't mind that our (put away) dogs were barking at them whenever they heard them coming up the steps. I noticed they tried to be quieter when dealing with the smaller items to try not to set them off haha I see a lot of reviews saying their stuff was damaged, but I didn't have anything like that. Our stuff is older and mostly cheaper ikea stuff, so we didn't have anything high-risk aside from larger tvs and the treadmill. One of the mover's grip slipped with a heavier item when going down steps, but it and the mover were fine. They were plenty careful with everything, like our tvs and such. I think my only real complaint is that after they were done, they didn't ask me to do a walkthrough, so I had to move a few items from a closet myself. I think asking at the end for one would be nice just to wrap up everything neatly. Forgetful people (like me) might have missed something that needed moved by stronger people that was tucked away or something. My favorite movers closed due to covid, but I'd say Hercules movers are a pretty good replacement :) I would def consider using them again. read more

I recently moved from out of state and the POD could not be delivered to my house on the day Hercules was scheduled to help. I attempted numerous times to call to re-direct the movers to the POD storage facility for the unload and finally was able to get someone to answer the phone and assist. Josh, Justin and Nick did an amazing job getting the basement re-organized for all the boxes and furniture to fit. I ordered shelves from Amazon and the movers were quick to get them assembled and the boxes organized where I can access them. They moved furniture between 3 different floors quickly, efficiently and with no damage to my furniture or walls. I would not only highly recommend this company, but would also use them for any of my future moving needs. I would have given 5 stars, but it was a bit frustrating when nobody answered the phone the day of my move. read more

I've used Hercules about 3 months ago. The movers broke a panel of glass on my buffet while carrying it. They said that it should not be a problem . The manager will call me within 2 weeks and stop by to get the measurements and get it replaced . Well the 2 weeks turned into 4 weeks . Then he came took the measurements incorrectly. He brought the piece of glass after an additional 3 weeks and the glass was too big and of course did not fit. He took the glass back promising to get me the right measurement. It has been 3 weeks and I have not heard from them. I have to call him once a week and remind him oh his responsibility to replace it. I am coming up on almost 3 months and still don't have that panel. I would never use Hercules movers ever again . I will make sure that none of my friends use them either. read more

My wife and I hired Hercules through the Thumbtack app and they were wonderful! Our move took a little more time than expected, but Changler and Josh never slowed down for a minute during the 5+ hours they helped us move. We really appreciated how careful they were with all our furniture. They wrapped all furniture in drop clothes to protect the furniture and walls. They were also able to get our sofa and love seat down in the basement when it appeared there was no possible way to do so! Very impressed! Changler is a pro at moving and was very methodical in his approach. And most important, he's a very nice and polite man and it was a pleasure to deal with him. We hired Hercules Movers for our move and it went as smoothly as possible. The team was friendly and handled all of our furniture with professional care. We couldn't have been happier with how things went. I got quotes from three other companies - Hercules Movers had the most accurate quote as far as what we would need for the move, and the lowest offer quoted to us. I was a little nervous going with the "lowest bidder" but the job was performed really well. I think they just did the best job of describing what was actually needed for moving out of our two-bedroom condo and quoted us fairly - as opposed to other companies that tried to up-sell us on things. I hired Hercules movers to move my two bedroom apartment into a three story townhome. Reggie and Tom were FANTASTIC. I had quite a few more boxes than planned and the two of them never took a break. They moved all my stuff in about 2.5 hours. Took great care of all my items and the man power was wildly impressive. They showed up right at the start of my estimated arrival window. After calling me to warn me an hour in advance too. They were kind, funny, helpful and positive. If you hire Hercules make sure you ask for Reggie and Tom! Fantastic job! sylver and his crew were efficient, professional, and friendly. They arrived within the designated window, and got right to work packing and disassembling. Every piece of furniture got covered with moving blankets for protection, and nothing was damaged. And they made sure everything was in the right place in my new apt before they left, and were able to finish with 10 minutes to spare! These guys were at the location exactly when they said they were going to be there, super polite and professional, and moved everything with care. Fair prices too. What more could you ask for? I also hired them to move a grandfather clock for me. I've had that clock for 26 years. I needed a professional. Hercules wrapped up the clock and transported it without issue. Hercules has a painting part of the company. I had a property that I manage that needed completely repainted. I had never worked with him before but he was a very reasonable quote I received. Michael met me at the property to review the job and the quote and he was very nice and easy to work with. He was really great at calling when he was showing up and informing me of other jobs that he had in between. I was never left hanging or wondering if he would finish. I have used this business in the past before to move single arcade cabinets now they are charging $500 for any single item 2 hour move when it used to cost $300. Sorry using a different company next time I do not recommend now. What changed in 1 year to cause such a price hike. I used these guy three times in a three week period (due to unforeseen circumstances) and was extremely pleased. I have very heavy furniture and they did not damage anything. All leather, TV and wood furniture was wrapped very well. Great communication, let me know when they were on their way. Highly recommend them again. These guys are amazing! They arrived as promised and went to work right away. They worked fast and maintained that pace until every piece of furniture was re-assembled at our final destination. Several pieces were actually in better shape after they finished than when they started, all joints and hinges being tightened and doors straightened. These guys arrived on time and worked all day to move us. We were moving into a townhome with a tight staircase but they worked hard to not tear up the furniture or the home.
