They have probably hundreds of different types of teas to pick from - if you love tea, this is your place. I've had a few different kinds of teas from here that I loved, and they even sell bags of tea so that if you find something you really love you can take some home to make later. They do also offer a few bakery items as well, even dairy free/vegan and/or gluten free ones, which I applaud since there aren't very many places out there that offer dairy free desserts. The server is also incredibly knowledgeable about tea and will help you decide on a selection that you'll enjoy, so even if you don't know much about tea, they've got you covered at The Tea Grotto.

I've been to a lot of tea houses, and this is the only one I've been in that sells coffee. You can now bring in your own containers to buy tea which is pretty neat, and I highly recommend it since they only offer small packages of the tea now. The last couple of times I went in it was hard to get service. The employees walk right past me and don't say anything. Honestly I miss how the tea house used to be before Michelle left.

While the ambiance Is beautiful and cozy and the baristas were very kind, they didnt make up for the pitfalls here. I was only the second person in the shop, and i was waiting at the counter for around 10 mins before being helped. I got a latte and a scramble, and they were a little overpriced in my opinion, but i did want to try a speciality latte so I suppose that's to be expected. I got their beetroot latte and to be honest that was the best thing about this experience!! It was so earthy, creamy, and warming, i loved it. No notes on my latte!! Now the food was not hitting for me. I got the breakfast scramble with sourdough toast and asked for no mayo. I received mayo. And the toast might have been the THINNEST sourdough ive ever seen??? Look at it! Idk. I love bread so i was expecting ... more than an eighth of an inch of it? Anyway, the scramble was meh and i just used napkins to wipe off the mayo. Just a bummer, i am probably going to other coffee shops over this one in the future.
