I had a poor service experience: Brought in a MINI with the "Service engine soon" light on, and they tried to sell me a $1300 service. They told me the charcoal cannister had posted a fault, and wanted to replace it at a cost of hundreds of dollars. I told them this is a commonplace thing to happen in hot weather and to reset the fault. The service manager literally laughed off that possibility. That did it: I'm finding an independent MINI garage I can trust. Also, they did not reset the fault, even though they agreed to do so for the minimum service charge of $125. Unacceptable. A $50 on-board-diagnostics reader read and reset the fault, and will, in the future, provide me with a BS detector for service managers. For the money one pays for dealer service, one should get a customer experience above that of a rug bazaar. read more

I've been suitably impressed with Herb Chambers Mini-- much more than with the build quality of my Mini. Things were great when the Mini was covered by the warranty-- but once it ended, the folks over at Herb Chambers really took care of me. Scott Poirier is a class act-- and completely a reason enough for me to go to Herb Chambers. He treats you like a human and he's been more than fair with me when dealing with some Mini issues. I purchased my Mini Cooper S from MIni of Manhattan. When it's time to purchase a new car in Boston, I'd definitely consider Herb Chambers just on the basis of their great service. read more

I stopped into BMW of MINI a couple weeks back while on a hunt for a new car. While we didn't end up buying a MINI (the car we were looking at didn't end up having all the features we wanted), it was a pleasure dealing with Andrei Kunevsky. Andrei is probably one of the best car salespeople I've ever worked with. He was knowledgeable about the car, answered all of my questions and was super responsive via phone and email without being pushy. If we ever do consider a MINI again, I'll definitely be buying it from Andrei. read more

I've bought my first mini at Herb Chambers without a lot of fuss, i wanted a car, they had a car, done! That Mini has had more fixes than any car should possibly need, but i attributed this to being an early adopter of the MIni thing... Going to the Dealer to get the car fixed sucks, half the time it comes out with something else wrong, or it's not ready, or the problem can't be identified, and you have to return a few days later to try to get it fixed again, only to finally identify the problem after the warranty runs out. Despite the fiascos, I wanted to buy another Mini and was going to give Herb Chambers another shot... The test drive was a disaster. The sales person was unbelievably bored, when the drive ended, I said, should I follow you upstairs. And was told there was nothing to discuss! So like so many others, I did not buy a Mini that day despite being ready to do so. I don't know what is going on with this place, but it is clear that Herb Chambers Mini division just doesn't care about customers. And I suspect the 5 star reviews are being paid... I for one am totally disappointed. read more

HORRIBLE. I have had my mini for about 2 years now, and while I absolutely LOVE my car, I hold a special kind of contempt for the service people here. I brought my car in on a Friday to have some parts replaced (This was a RETURN TRIP because they had to order parts) and to have it inspected. Let me say that it takes A LOT for me to feel prompted to write a negative review. I try really hard not to be a nagging customer, because I feel for the people on the other end of the line...USUALLY whatever is wrong is not their fault, but at Herb Chambers Mini in Allston, they are the ENTIRE PROBLEM. I had to call three times just to get a time estimate for when I might be able to pick up my car. I was told I would receive calls to let me know when my car was done. No one called me. I finally called back 2 days later to see if I could pick up my car. I was told it was ready. I paid my 29 dollar inspection fee, only to look at my car and realize it was never inspected and not a single one of the minor flaws were fixed. Sorry, Mini. Stop hiding your TERRIBLE sales people behind the fact that you wash my car every time I bring it in. Lovely, yes. I'd rather have competent customer service. I wish I had an alternative.... read more

Mark Ravin in service is outstanding! I have never dealt with a more competant, professional, service writer. He offers a high level of customer service and seems to genuinely love his job and mini coopers. I have bought and sold hundreds of vehicles in my professional career and I choose to drive over an hour to have my mini serviced by Mark and his team. The online booking tool for appointments is very easy to use. The waiting area is comfortable with plenty of seating, WIFI, and complimentary beverages. The service door is difficult to find your first time to the dealership. The dealership is in a heavily congested area but the service staff seems to have a system that works. read more

Andrei Kunevsky is GREAT! I've just purchased my 3rd MINI from Herb Chambers MINI, so I'm clearly already sold on the cars. I'm also in sales, so I wasn't really up for being "sold". From my 1st phone call with Andrei to the check-in call from him that I just received after picking up the car yesterday, his has TRULY been 100% the BEST sales experience that I've ever had for anything... and I'm picky. Example of his amazing service: He drove the car from Comm ave. to my office in NH for me to test drive it because my schedule is awful. SOLD!!! It doesn't get better than this. Above & beyond. Thank you Andrei! Also a shout out to the wonderful Liz & Mark in Service who've taken amazing care of me since my 1st MINI in 2005. read more

This review is for the Mini & BMW servive dept. I began bringing my 05' Mini to Herb Chambers for service imediatly after purchasing it from a different dealer due to proximity to my work. I have owned several new cars over the years and with each one would dread bringing the car in for service. As soon as I met Mark Ravin, my regular Mini service advisor, I knew I was dealing with a car guy who is honest and has tons of integrity. Having not bought the car from Herb Chambers I expected to be treated like a nuisance, not the case. I was treated like a valued customer and even like a friend. Mark makes sure to keep you informed, knows about cars, and most importantly actually cares if you are happy with the experience. He goes out of his way to accomodate me and as a result I enjoy my visits to Herb Chambers. The service experience has been so refreshingly great that I just bought a new BMW from them via European delivery, and got my mother to buy a Mini. Scott Poirier & Matt Krappe in BMW service have been amazing and also take amazing care of the typical "fussy" BMW customers ( myself included). So rare to find Auto service advisors who are very knoledgable about the cars, have a good personality, and most importantly want you to be pleased with every interaction. Whomever is in charge of hiring for the service dept is on their A game. I did not enjoy my sales experience but that was a reflection of my salesperson who I do not think works there anymore. Despite my less than impressive salesman I would buy my next car from Herb Chambers due to the follow up and service. Loaners for every visit are great and all you have to do is request one with your appt. To me when I buy a car its the service dept people that I care about since they are the ones I am going to be seeing all the time. Despite some other reviews I can honesly say as a very picky consumer the service attention you get at Heb Chambers BMW & Mini is phenomenal. Be friendly to the advisors and get to know the managers, they will treat you well. All the staff has been great to me but I especially request Matt Krappe in BMW service, and his manager Scott Poirier is there for backup if a big issue comes up. Herb Chambers does a huge volume so its excellent to see he has picked competent employees to fix the amazingly complicated German cars we love so much. If on ly the Volvo dealership where we service my wifes car was so transparent... Seriously they kick ass! read more

Buying a car is never a small undertaking, and a salesperson that launch's on you as soon as you walk in just makes it worse. NOT HERE! Brian made the whole experience a joy. He listened to what we wanted, didn't push for a quick sale, and delivered from start to finish. He went out of his way to make himself available around my hectic schedule, answering with a smile. And Nicole in in the finance dept. made the red tape a breeze, even besting my loan rate by 5%! I would recommend this team to anyone. read more

I posted previously, right after I purchased my car--but after some further dealings, I just had to post again. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER do business here. The customer service is horrendous, bordering on abusive. Herb Chambers, if you are out there, you should hang your head in shame. read more

I echo every sentiment about Mark Ravin. I'm actually at a loss for words for the level of service I've received and should ever I find one fitting enough, it most certainly will be an understatement. Simply put, they do not get better than Mr. Ravin. I took my MINI in for something seemingly simple and learned that it was actually more involved than that, thanks to a 40lb+ raccoon who...should he still be alive.... has a branding of my MINI's grill on his ass for life. Before learning of this information, I was tucked away in the waiting area working along when Mark came in, sat down and apologized for the wait. It seems I would have known about the situation sooner, but he'd admitted to having been in his office trying to figure out a way to break the news to me. I tend to err on the side of caution where people are concerned, always leery of tricks and dishonesty, but at that very moment Mark earned my trust, my faith in his competence, and whether he likes it or not...a friend for life:) His knowledge and professionalism coupled with his down-to-earth nature cannot be beat. Home Run Herb Chambers! Furthermore, Matt, also a Service Advisor took great care of me when Mark was away, the maintenance guys are top-notch and their shuttle driver, Mike isn't half bad either;) I'm new to Boston and plan to stay, but should ever that change, I'd travel from anywhere to see these guys before entrusting the care of my beloved MINI to anyone else. read more

I have thus far had a positive experience with Herb Chambers MINI. I am currently leasing a '07 cooper... After going for a test drive around the BU area, I decided to order one with the 6 week delay. 1-2 weeks in, I wanted to change the color. I contacted the sales staff and the change was done without any extra charges or haggling. The finance side of things seemed a little sleezy...the guy running it continuously was pushing all sorts of unnecessary insurance. I get easily agitated by the thought of auto service (sketchy mechanics, long waits without a car, etc.), but I recently had to schedule a service appointment. It went well; I drove right into the service bay , explained the problem, and they took the car for repairs with the cost covered by warranty. I went to wait in the customer lounge with a big screen TV and free coffee while my rental came. The car was fixed by the next day and getting it was carefree. Overall, good experience so far but -1 star for the finance department. read more

I thought I would update my review here because these guys really came through for me today. I ordered a key fob as well as a trim piece that had been damaged. There was confusion about pricing of programming; the trim piece kept showing up as available, but every time (twice) I came to pick it up it was either not there or damaged. Long story short, they took care of coding the key to my car for me, and their shipment of the trim piece came in so they installed it for me free of charge. They even washed the car for me. I will be honest, I was ready to drop stars (from the three I gave them previous), but I felt the service department really came around. Now I just need to get a good deal on an ALL-4 Countryman! ;) Thanks guys! read more

I moved to Boston last year and I was bumping up against the 36K mile, end of warranty period. With 35,851 miles on the odometer, I checked out the reviews for Herb Chamber, Mini of Peabody, and the Mini dealer in Rhode Island, as they're all equidistant. What I saw were lots of negative reviews for each, which was not confidence building. Hey, it's the web! Even so, I hate to choose from the least of three evils. I decided to go to Herb Chambers Mini. It was a bit closer, and I figured they have volume, which suggested to me that any odd repairs might be easier there. I had to wait about four days to get an appointment that allowed them to give me a loaner. I arrived first thing in the morning, and was greeted by Scott Poirier, Mini Service Advisor. He was great! He knew what I needed, reviewed the work plan with me, and gave me the option of a new Clubman or a Cooper convertible to use as the loaner. Summer? Convertible! After a dash around town in the loaner, I was back at the shop in about 5 hours. That was oil, brake pads, rotors, and an exterior detail. The work was done quickly, the car was clean, and the price was right. The bill totaled $75, and that was for the wax. Everything else slipped in right under the warranty. Here's what else I liked: I knew my tires were getting close, but instead of changing them and added hundreds to the bill, they examined them closely and told me I still had 5K left on them. Seems pretty honest to me. All in all, a good initial visit. read more

We recently purchased a used 2007 Mini Cooper for my wife from Herb Chambers Mini. We were helped by Rich Tran. He was very helpful right from the time of sales to post-purchase. He was very honest about all specifics about the car (overall condition, defects if any, etc.) and explained all details thoroughly. It was very refreshing to see someone not adding the sales pressure on you. He took care of the paperwork, and even did some paint touchups and maintenance for free. We were very happy with the service we received here. We went over for some maintenance and received prompt service; only what was required, was performed on the car. We also got a flexible extension on the car's bumper-2-bumper warranty, without any hassle. The initial deposit required to hold the car was returned promptly as well. Ask for Rich, he knows his Minis well. read more

3 Things: 1.) Only buy from Rich. He's amazing! 2.) Once you've purchased, only deal with Mark in the service center. He's amazing. 3.) I had an excellent experience working with the sales department purchasing my second MINI. Everyone I interacted through the experience (from the receptionist to the business manager) made the experience very enjoyable. David Lopez was my sales constant, and he was great. He made sure to take the time to walk me through each step of the process, and he was very meticulous about addressing my laundry list of needs. I particularly appreciated him spending some extra time with me when I picked up the car. Overall, it was a great experience. My Countryman was exactly everything I wanted, and I am thrilled that I had a great buying experience to match. read more

I recently purchased a Mini Countryman S All4. Herb Chambers Mini was a great dealership to work with from start to finish. I traded in a Toyota and they gave me an excellent deal on that. They also kept me up to date and responded to my emails promptly whist I was waiting for my car to be made in Austria. Everyone who works here seems to be friendly and there is a happy "vibe". It was, to date, the best car purchasing experience I have had. read more

Recently purchased a Mini Cooper, this was my first time bringing the car into a BMW/Mini dealership for maintenance/diagnosis. Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and friendly attitude I received from everyone. Matt Appleton was my service advisor, big shout out to him for being so awesome and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate me, arranged for me to have a ride to work and back to pick the car up (I forget the driver's name! I wish I could give him credit because he was amazing and so friendly!) I never thought anyone could love my new mini as much as I do but these guys proved me wrong. Won't hesitate to go there for any of my vehicle's needs! Bonus points- Their coffee in the lounge is amazing too. read more

Sold my beautiful Mini convertible back to this team in August -- my second Mini in the last five years. I no longer need the car for my commute, but had every intention of getting another when that changed. Today, I no longer wish to be a part of this brand, and certainly not this dealership. The lack of customer service at Herb Chambers Mini of Boston is astonishing. I'm happy to provide more details should anyone at the company be interested, but it's hard to imagine that would be the case given my experience thus far. There are things I could have done better, too, but as a loyal customer who has spent a great deal of money on this brand and at this dealership, I expect the team to at least try a little. Instead, I'm left with no recourse but to write a lousy Yelp review. And continue to have a bad taste in my mouth for this dealership. read more

I have NEVER had bad experience here. This is my second MINI cooper, and I wouldn't go anywhere else but Herb Chambers MINI. Rich, my sales rep (twice), is on top of his game, and very laid back and chill. He's always so accommodating, whether it's helping me customize my MINI or servicing my MINI. He goes above and beyond the call of duty, and I admire that about him and the service here at Herb Chambers MINI. I've serviced my MINI here twice, and every time, it has been impeccable!!! I've even received complimentary rides to and from work from their service center. I love my MINI!!! The only reason for deducting 1 star is because their showroom lacks model cars to check out. When purchasing an item such as a car, you want to see many options and in several colors, styles, customizations... because the MINI is so hot, they tend to sell fairly quickly; hence leaving a shortage of floor models. read more

I think that BMW/Mini of Boston is trying very hard to improve their reputation in the marketplace. I personally enjoyed working with my sales guy Luigi L.(on the Mini side) He was very personable and knowledgeable. When I ran into some post sale issues they were promptly dealt with by the pre-owned BMW manager (John W). The finance guy was also pretty east going. Got me great rates and discounted the aftermarket warranty. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I called and was able to schedule service but due to the fact that I was nervous about driving during the week to the appointment, they allowed me to drop off early. Not only was my car finished early, but they went over everything that was done and made sure that I was satisfied with the work. A shout out to Chris at the Mini service desk for all his help. A very satisfied customer!! read more

Awful! I spent close to $2000 here and they didn't even come close to solving the issue the car was in shop for (for a week, by the way). They instead worked on a bunch of other things that didn't even have any issues to begin with. I called the service advisor back and told him the car is still having the same issue and that they need to fix it, especially considering the amount of time they had my car and the price I paid, and the advisor had a super rude attitude towards me. I had to get the attorney general's office involved to get any sort of result from them. My car was in shop at Herbs for close to a month and no rental was offered. They didn't even call to give me an occasional update. Absolutely awful. read more

We own 2 MINIs and both were purchased at Herb Chambers. When we decided to finally go for a MINI we first went to MINI of Peabody and had a pushy and not-so-fun experience with them. Sam our Advisor at Herb is awesome, extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to be around, please ask for him if you're planning a visit. We purchased the extended warranty for both cars and that is a no-brainer, it is totally worth it! I personally never Matt the maintenance manager, but my husband never stop singing his praises about him after every visit. read more

Overall pretty great experience - for what it's worth my closest friends always tell me my expectations are too high. ;) Facility: They have done the best they can with the space in the city. Meaning they don't have a huge lot like places in the burbs do so we had to go from random garage to random garage to find the cars I wanted to look at (2012 Countryman S ALL4). This was less than ideal but how else do you store so many cars in the city?? Sales: Ellington was great and I never felt rushed or pressured at all. He was willing to go to every garage they had to show me my options! The only car they had on the lot that fit my preferences was a color I was not in love with. Ellington found a much cuter one that had (pretty much) everything I wanted at another dealership and had it transferred over. I ended up with a manual engine - which was a new thing for me. Ellington was very patient on the test drive. :) He even checked in with me a few days after I had the car to see how everything was going! Impressive follow through. He also said I should contact him when I need to get my car serviced. I personally appreciate this follow through. Administration: I also dealt with various people during my experience and everyone was really nice and respectful. Not once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of (yes, I am female and I went alone). Miguel explained all the warranty and purchase options to me and was very patient while I made random "phone a friend" text messages and various calculations to understand what I was accepting or declining. Rob Gale was quick to respond to my purchasing questions via email. I financed through my bank and my bank contact commented Herb Chambers can be difficult to deal with for financing but I didn't find this to be true. Service: I have not yet had to experience the service department but I expect this to be relatively painless and will update if it isn't. read more

We're picking up our Mini this weekend. I have to say the experience was one of the best I've had as far as buying a car goes. Our salesman, Norm, was professional and friendly. I'm in sales so I know what it takes to make my customers happy. It's all about creating relationships, developing trust and putting the customer first. Norm took the time to get to know us. He was genuinely interested in us as a people and wasn't pushy. He seemed to understand what I needed in our interaction in order to make a sale. Before we were through he knew the names of my dogs, where we vacation and how many kids we have. He also shared a bit of his life with us. The most important thing he did was spend his time getting to know us rather than push his own agenda. The women at the reception desk were also very friendly, chatting with us and making sure we were comfortable. If you're in the market for a Mini you might want to talk to Norm. I think he'll take good care of you. read more

Andrei Kunevsky was outstanding going above and beyond from my initial phone conversation to delivering my 2015 Hardtop. Last February I made an appointment to meet with him at the showroom after our phone conversation. Andrei listened to my needs and wants and picked out the perfect Mini for me and was able to get me into it for exactly what I wanted. I had wanted a Mini for a long time but was afraid to downsize. He knew his product and was passionate about it going over all the pluses and assuring me it was a good fit and the one for me. He was spot on and I love my Mini and will be a long time loyal to the brand customer and a huge fan of his. I went for the 2015 with all its incentives even though they where rolling out the 2016's Andrei assured me of benefits and value behind my purchase and made it happen with shear ease. He also made a few other things happen for me for which I was extremely grateful for and will be coming back to him for my next Mini when the time comes! Thank you Andrei for a most pleasurable experience and going the extra mile. You have a bright career ahead of you! All my best and hope to see you for my next one! Mike read more

Three Mini-Coopers, 2 S's one coupe. 300,000 + miles over 12 years. The product and the service department have not disappointed me once.

My purchase of the Mini would not have been possible with the excellent sales service I received from Samuel Tutton. The entire experience was conducted via email, texts and voicemail which I truly appreciate for a number of reasons. Samuel could not have been more professional, responsive and respectful of my time. The purchase agreement and loan application process were efficient as was delivery of the vehicle. Very very good service! Find Sam there if you're serious to buy a MINI. Not because he's British but he's not pushy and get you the best deal around the World! I've been to MINI of Peabody many times but didn't like it because of their attitude which is like buy it or leave it! read more

This is about the overall business model of Herb Chambers and the SMART pricing. I was shopping around for a CPO car, however having done some comparisons I found that Kelly and other services were valuing the car for the same model, feature and CPO services at a lower price. However their "smart pricing" guarantees that they offer the best price and hassle free, however when I brought up the other comps they were not willing to negotiate and believed they were priced right (when in fact they were above the high range). As a result I found another place which had a better deal and were reasonable with taking comps into account. :) Lesson learned: do your research and let comps and numbers speak read more

I had been shopping for MINIs so my mom called HC to take a look at a used one. She asked if it was there or had been sold, and they had said it was available. When we got there, Rich Tran helped us. He looked up the car for me and we made a chart of all the things it had and compared it to other MINIs I had seen elsewhere. We went to get the car to test drive it and it was sold (after we were told it was there). So Rich looked for another one for me and found one. We went to test drive that and it was sold. Now it was about closing time. I was pretty bummed out. Rich looked for new cars that they had in my price range. Ian came over to help us out too and found something at another dealership. I took the car. These guys stayed with me until 11pm to help me find what I wanted. They gave me a great deal on upgrading the seats to leather. Also my car came with extra bonuses they didn't know about because it came from another dealer. When doing all the financial stuff, Kevin was very helpful and put my mind at ease. He let me know right away if I was approved or not for the financing which usually takes a day. When I went to get the car, Rich took his time and went over all the stuff in the car with me. These guys were all very helpful and Rich was NOT pushy. read more

Luigi from Herb Chambers MINI was the best car salesman I have ever encounter. Amicable, intelligent, and understanding, he isn't what you would call your tipical car salesman. I don't go into a dealership without reseaching every aspect of a car I am looking at first. Any questions I do have are ones that I cannot readily find with the collective human knowledge on the internet. This means the questions I do have are usually esoteric and difficult to answer. He answered every single one of them, knew about all of the cars I was comparing the MINI to, and gave me suggestions that made the experience easier. After looking at the MINI's I went downstairs to check out a 128i/135i, The saleman down in the BMW showroom did wrong everything that Luigi did right. He did not know any of the answers I needed, instead looking them up on the internet in front of me...He pressured me to buy, and wasnt very good at convincing me that the BMW was the correct option. I promptly went upstairs to ask if Luigi could sell me the BMW. A++ for MINI of Boston and Luigi C- for BMW of Boston read more

After eight yes eight long years of leasing Audi's and Acura's while truly envying every person I saw driving a MINI I pulled the trigger and bought at Countryman S All 4! I love it! As I said I have been a MINI wanna be owner for years so I have test driven every MINI model from Peabody to Warwick but Herb Chambers MINI of Boston was different. From the moment the elevator door opened to the 3rd floor showroom I knew I had found "My MINI dealer". The day we visited Herb Chambers MINI of Boston they were filming a commercial with two huge gorgeous bulldogs...so I was in a room filled with MINI's and bulldogs...what could be better than that! Everyone was very welcoming and genuinely nice...not like the other dealers we had been to. We met Luigi and he let us take a Countryman for a test drive. He did not pressure us at all to go back up to his office and talk numbers we said that we would be in touch. After a few weeks of building a number of MINI's on the website I decided it was time to call Luigi back. We told Luigi just what we wanted and he called back us back that night on a Sunday and gave us the good news. He had found the exact car I wanted a white Countryman S all 4 with black roof, bonnet stripes, polar beige leather interior and 6 speed manual transmission...I wasn't asking for much...was I? My MINI was on a boat heading to New Jersey and then to another dealer but Luigi was able to swap it and have it delivered to Boston. We met Luigi after work on the night of the final World Series game oh and Obama was in town but Luigi stayed to wait for us. We finalized all the paper work and met with the finance guy in BMW. The whole experience was painless and exciting...I purchased the extended 100k mile maintenance package, tire protection package and had the invisa-shield added to the front bumper....all upgrades I am very happy with. Luigi emailed me the following Sunday night to let me know my MINI was in and I could pick it up Monday night. Oh I was so excited! Luigi met me in the showroom at 6pm went over every inch of the car with me and even set up my Bluetooth. I am clearly thrilled with the purchase of my MINI! I could not be happier with my experience and I highly recommend Luigi at MINI of Boston! Thank you Luigi! read more

I recently purchased a MINI Countryman from Herb Chambers MINI of Boston. As much as I dislike the car purchasing process, they made it easy and worry-free. Norm Cohen was my Motoring Advisor. After coming in with a huge list of options and add-ons adding up to a very expensive car, Norm patiently took me through the options list and helped me decide on the options I really needed and wanted. He provided great insight on options that may not be necessary, but also let me decide what I ultimately wanted and supported my decisions. When I picked up the car, Norm took time to go over the basic features to make sure I was comfortable leaving the dealership. I would also like to point out Monica Smith in the Finance Department. She carefully explained every document and every option available. I never felt rushed as she was very patient. She answered all of my questions about financing and in adding extras. Overall, my experience at Herb Chambers MINI was very good. I would recommend them to friends who are thinking about purchasing a MINI. read more

I bought my Countryman back in Nov 2011 at Herb Chambers and continually bring my Countryman for the routine service appointments to Herb Chambers. My experience EVERY VISIT has been simply great. Every encounter I have had with the staff, from sales rep, to service managers, to the valets, as been nothing short of first class. It's pretty clear to me that they all get the message, it's about the customer, without them, there is no dealership. From my initial contact in purchasing the Countryman, the sales team answered my numerous emails until I was satisfied to take the next step and visit the dealership. My first visit, I met with Scott in Sales, and he made my visit extremely pleasant and hassle-free. I laid out the timing of my purchase. Scott took me through the options and the schedule in ordering my Countryman to meet my timeline. Big bonus points to Scott, who two years later while I was in for routine service, recalled personal tidbits from our first discussions. Just another reminder of the great customer service. As for the service team, this team is equally amazing. Every time I've been in for service, the service manager goes through all of my options, provides details of the service and, as applicable, offers recommendations to issues (like potential wear and tear of the tires). Additionally, as I like to wait for car while it is being serviced, the service manager constantly comes out to give me an update on the timing, which is usually just an update to let me know they are still on schedule from the timing they initially told me the service would take. I always leave feeling like the service manager went out of his way for me, as though I were a personal friend. As I noted above, my experience every visit has been top notch all around. Keep up the great work! read more

Overall, this low rating is due to a lack of transparency in the sales process at Herb Chambers MINI. Be wary of any deal you talk about or sign with them. When they say "all taxes and fees included", be sure to ask for more specifics - as they did not tell me about some taxes that now cost me $400+ per year on top of all of my payments. I will never buy or lease another car from these people again, as they hid this information up front and have done nothing to address the situation in the months that I have asked for some resolution. The people are great. The showroom is comfortable, clean and beautiful. Great cars - I have had two Minis and love them both. The follow-up service is quite good and they even do appointments with a "MINI Genius" to help you get used to the car. But the lack of transparency and hidden taxes and fees shows a blatant disregard for customers. Stay away! read more
