Worst dealership experience I have ever had, if I could give this place a zero I would. Tried buying a truck out of state, dealer refused and wanted me to make TWO separate 3 hours trips because it would just be "easier" and "we can't". Is that customer service? I had the best experience purchasing a new truck at Quirk Ford. Anthony, my salesman made the deal happen. I was shopping around for a new truck for my work to replace a smaller plow truck. I got around six estimates from various other dealers and even visited two local ones. I had all estimates in hand and was ready to buy one of them by the end of the month (cash buyer). On a Friday afternoon, Quirk Ford popped up on my computer. I decided to check their inventory even though they were about an hour away. They had the best selection of trucks, more than all the other dealers combined. I found one that caught my eye and sent an email. Anthony called me a couple of hours later after I left work. I told him what I was looking for and asked about the truck that I saw online, figuring it was a bait and switch. I told him that I was definitely interested and that I was an hour away. He said that he wouldn't want me to drive all that way and not make a deal. I went up on Tuesday and made a deal that I was happy with. No pressure at all. I recently had a very frustrating experience at Ford Quirk and wanted to share it to help others make informed decisions. Two weeks ago, I called Quirk Ford to inquire about buying out my leased car, which I had leased from a different branch. I was hoping to do this at a branch closer to where I live now, as I have a 6-month-old baby and a sick cat to take care of by myself. 5/17 - I called Ford Quirk to confirm if that's possible and if any prior arrangement was needed. The person said I could just stop by and no appointment was needed. 5/18 - I stopped by the next day, and a manager greeted me. He said I need to visit the branch where I leased the car to do the buyout. I explained that I had called earlier and spoken with Pat, who told me I could just stop by. Pat came over who politely took my contact info and said he would reach out to the branch where I leased my Ford and get the process started. I said I am happy to come back in a week, in the meantime, he would call me if anything was needed. 5/24 - I called Ford Quirk just to make sure everything was ready before I stopped by. The person who answered the phone confirmed it's okay. 5/25 - This time, another manager greeted me and said they could not help me with the buyout because I leased my car from a different branch. So I explained to him again; it's actually listed on Ford's website that customers could choose to buy out their leased cars from different locations. This manager kept repeating, "It doesn't matter; it's our company policy here". That was extremely frustrating as I had confirmed with them multiple times to ensure it was okay before heading there. At that point, it was pointless to keep arguing because he simply did not want to do anything unless I was buying another car. Why do they have to make this so difficult!? I called the service department to make an appointment for my 2 year old Ford truck. However, the gentleman informed me that they could not service my truck because I did not purchase it there. What?? I have gone to other Ford dealers whom I did not purchase my truck from and had no issue getting service there. I then pointed out to him that I bought and paid for a tonneau cover and had them install it, so that they could verify that I was in fact, a customer of theirs. But he replied that that "doesn't count". What kind of Ford dealer does not allow a Ford truck to be serviced there? And it was nothing special or specific: it was just routine service. June 10th, 2021 @ approximately 8:00 am, I brought my 2015 Lincoln MKC (which I purchased at Quirk Ford a few years ago) in to your Quirk Ford Service Center @ 540 Southern Artery (where I have been having it serviced since purchase) to get an inspection sticker. All appeared to have gone well, a gentleman came to tell me my car was all set and was settling up my bill when he mentioned that in my previous last three Customer Satisfaction surveys I had given them poor reviews and said "we can't seem to please you". - I thought he was being cheeky and I said well not this time "all was great and they were very quick" - he then proceeded to tell me that I should have my vehicle serviced someplace else - I may have said something like "really" or "seriously" and he said yes, I'm serious. I left your dealership feeling extremely uncomfortable and am now annoyed, as I don't understand why giving my opinion on a survey would warrant such a conversation. Surveys (of which I have created many in my professional career) are used to gather information and make corrections / adjustments to how things are done based on that information, not to chastise or condemn or banish. My experience with other dealerships had been the exact opposite of what I experienced at your dealership/service center. My previous car was a Lexus so I had been going to Herb Chambers and my expectations may have been higher but customer service is customer service ... having technicians use caution so that no grease gets on the steering wheel, seats, doors, etc. ... offering consistent information ... accurate wait times ... etc. Personally, this won't be much of a hardship as there are dealerships and service centers on just about every corner these days, but the fact still remains that your Quirk Ford in Quincy is subpar when it comes to customer service and that is even more evident now than it was before. read more

2015, Ford F150 V6 echo boost. I would give this vehicle 0 stars if I could. the moonroof almost never worked rights after a year of use. now when it opens it snaps back and squeaks loudly when its closed. brought it in about 5 times for this. I gave up on getting it fixed so it stays closed. 3 years later the springs in the front seat broke which in turn broke the heating mechanism and now 8 years later it needs a new transmission which will run anywhere from 4 to 8k. oh and by the way, the rim chrome tires are pealing. not to mention the engine light and check wrench light has been on and off over the past 3 years. overall just an awful vehicle to purchase and this cost 40k when I bought it. this vehicle is the purest form of crap with 4 wheels. read more

I dropped my 2020 Ranger off on 8/26/24 complaining that my truck was slamming into gear and had started slipping out of gear a couple of times. After just under 2 weeks I was told. THE EGR COOLER AND THE DPFE WAS REPLACED. I had my truck for 45 minutes before realizing they hadn't fixed what I asked them to. I called them back and said I was bringing my truck back was asked to wait 2 days before I dropping it back off then after they looked at it the second time I was told I needed a new front left motor mount but they were on back order to come back in a month and they would fix it and that would solve everything. I was getting on the highway the following night and as I got off the on-ramp and tried to push down on the gas and accelerate my truck started slamming forward and backward trying to get into gear felt like being on an amusement ride and then the orange wrench symbol lit up on the dash which I learned means the computer has since a problem with the drivetrain and or transmission I dropped my truck off again that Monday and that time I was called Monday night and told that they were replacing the crankshaft and some other parts inside my transmission. When I made the appointment when I said my truck got 102,000 miles I was told they would not be doing repairs to the transmission it wouldn't be worth it and I was going to be looking at replacement so when I was told they were essentially rebuilding my transmission I was pissed and argued with them and was told we're very sorry but it's pretty much the same thing. Meanwhile because of all the nonsense trying to fix every other possible problem with my truck other than the transmission issues I dropped it off for I've spent almost $1,500 in rent a copies and when I brought that up to the manager after the second time picking my truck up only to learn that it wasn't fixed I was basically told if I wanted to drop it off they'd take another look at it and the fact that I've had to pay for rent a car for weeks was just business as usual. The manager told me that it would take a couple of days at least just to diagnose a transmission problem so I would need to be patient and if it was going to be replaced this was going to take time. I replied I'm well aware of that that's why I had set aside a credit card that I would be able to pay for 2 weeks of rent a car fees myself. As well as I knew I was covered for one week of the rental car fees by the warranty company. And I said so yes I knew it would take time and of the two to three weeks that I estimated it would take you've already used all of that time and you are only now hopefully if I drop my truck back off claiming you will stop addressing the issue that I dropped it off for initially a month prior at that point. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to bring a scooter to this place to be worked on and I would never buy anything from any Quirk dealership the technicians are idiots in the service department and the managers apparently just let them do whatever they want and who cares how much it costs us read more

On June 27, 2022 I brought my Explorer in for a clicking noise. The vehicle was at Quirk Ford until July 12, 2022. Upon driving the vehicle home I notice that the Explorer was all over the road. I called the service department back and made arrangements to bring the vehicle back the next day (07/13/2022)to be repair, as we were going to South Carolina the next day(07/14/2022). Fast forward one week and we are driving back home. I was in New York when upon applying the brakes, the vehicle took a hard left almost hitting the jersey barrier. Followed by multiple warning indicators. I was able to limp the vehicle off the Tappan Zee bridge. I inspected the vehicle and found that the left rear caliper had fallen off the caliper bracket and jammed into the wheel. Upon further inspection, I had found that the brake pad was missing and the bolts that attach the caliper to the bracket completely gone. This was the side that just had the left rear axle replaced. I was able to make a temporary repair to limp the vehicle home. I called Ford roadside to make arrangement to have it towed it back to Quirk Ford. I called the service department on Monday and asked to speak with a service manager, I was told he was busy and would call me back. I waited but never got a return call, so I followed my vehicle to Quirk. Went into the service and spoke with a service advisor and asked again to speak with the manager. They had me wait in the waiting room for over 30+ minutes before I had to reenter and asked again for the manager. I was finally helped by the assistant manager, Josh. The first 2 things I said to him were 1.) You never called me back and 2.) you made me wait. I was pretty mad at this point because I felt that my incident was not being taken seriously. I was told he was the only manager and that he was busy. I explained the situation of what happen to my vehicle. He brought it into the shop because he wanted to see it for "his own eyes". We agreed to what repairs it needed and I was given a rental. I was called on Friday that the vehicle was all set. Drove down to Quirk and found that the repairs that we had agreed were not done. Spoke with the service advisors and they said they would speak with Josh. The vehicle stayed until Saturday when they did the rest of the repairs. I had to call back on Saturday and Josh said it was his fault because he didn't relay the message. BS, he tried to be sneaky and get out as cheap as possible. Only put one side of new brake pads. They DON'T care about your life. I honestly felt that I was a bother to them. Their mistake almost killed my family. This is my wife's vehicle, I feel had she been driving that the outcome might have been different. They couldn't be bothered by what I had to say. They just YES me to death just to get me out of there hair. We agreed to repairs and I had to fight to get it fixed. I called today (08/01/2022)for the receipt and still nothing. My vehicle is ceramic coated as well as the wheels and calipers. I am trying to get reimbursed for this and once again its no answer or I don't know. Do yourself the favor and find a better service department that will deliver a better product. They promise a lot and deliver nothing. How Josh is a manager is beyond me. He tries to hide from the customer instead of dealing with it head on. I feel bad for the advisors because it seemed that they were covering for him because they know he's useless. I will say that they delivered the vehicle back to me and Josh said he would fuel up the Explorer but that didn't happen. Called again today (08/02/2022) and asked to speak with Josh. Brought my car in for service. After picking up the car, I noticed the two right side alloy wheels had new excessive curb damage. I acknowledge there were minor nicks on the rims, but they were nothing compared to the new damage to half of both rims. Mike the Service Manager said he could not imagine how the rims got damaged and could not imagine the tech hitting curbs while on a test ride. I told him I could not believe a knowledgeable tech driving a customer's car would not be aware of hitting a curb with both the front and rear wheels. He suggested I take the car to their alloy wheel repair vendor to get an estimate to repair them. I went the following day. The estimate was $448 and would take 3-4 days! After chasing Mike for 2 weeks, he informed me Quirk would not reimburse me for the damage to the rims. The only thing he would do is give me $200 off a full front and rear brake job. I was shocked that he reneged on having the rims repaired. Why would anyone trust a dealer that damages a car and does not own up to it. Waisted more of my time getting the estimate. Avoid Quirk! Loyal customers should not have to take pictures of their cars before bringing them in for service, so they can prove the condition of their cars when their techs cause damage! I dropped my 2021 Bronco Sport off at Quirk Ford a month ago because it was making a horrible rattling noise. Anytime I would hit a bump it sounded like the bottom of the car was going to fall out. While dropping it off the man at the front desk asked if I had anything in the trunk to which I responded, yes a trunk organizer with some cleaning supplies and reusable grocery bags. The man at the desk explained that oftentimes people confuse a rattling noise with things in their trunk. I assured him it was definitely not my trunk organizer as I have had it for a while and the noise was new and worsening with time. Ford called me 4 days later saying nothing was wrong with my car and that it was because of the organizer in my trunk. I explained over the phone that there was no possible way that noise was due to the organizer in my trunk. Clearly the mechanics thought because I am a woman they could get away with brushing this off and said they "completely checked under the car and put it up on the lift and everything looked perfect". A week later I bring the car back and tell them I have been driving around with nothing in the trunk and the noise is still there, if not worse. They then (after speaking to my father because they would not take me seriously as a woman) told me that it was the shocks and they would replace them under warranty. I get a call back 4-5 days later saying that the shocks were replaced but the noise is still there (THE NOISE THEY SAID DID NOT EXIST AT FIRST AND WAS BEING CAUSED BY MY TRUNK ORGANIZER). Now they tell me that I have a dent in my muffler pipe (which they are now only just finding? After putting it on the lift and saying everything looked perfect) and it will cost $3,700 to replace the muffler. I said absolutely not and picked it up, sounding worse than it ever did before. I took the Bronco to a mechanic in Hanover who told me that the muffler itself is fine and that the pipe needed to be refitted and welded, which he did for $180 dollars and it sounds perfect now. Every person I encountered at this Ford dealership was either incompetent or trying to rip me off because I am a female. My family owns two 2021 Bronco Sports and we will never buy a Ford again. read more

The first time- - they had known why I was coming in- a recall & paint bubbling. I had driven over an hour to get to the appointment, only to be told that the paint bubbling was not covered and when he looked at the roof rack for the recall- he just mumbled something & said it did not apply to my car. A lot of time & trip wasted on my part. When I asked him why he had not looked into this before I came (as he had known about what was needed well in advanced, he just shrugged. The second time - I went in for an electrical issue. I had full coverage in the warranty on the car. I waited 2 days before they got back to me- only to tell me the issue was not under the warranty & was going to cost over $1400.00. The young boy at Quirk had told me has was on the phone with Ford all day. I had consulted another Ford dealership before I took my car towed out of Quirk. The mechanic at the other dealer ship- looked into it for me & told me I didn't have a Ford warranty. I had a outside company's warranty. I called the next day & asked the boy at the dealership, "How were you on the phone with Ford all day when my warranty isn't with Ford.?" The tow company that is with the warranty took over 6 hours to get to tow the truck. I had to call them 3 times & they kept blowing me off- telling me- we will be right there. I was so infuriated- I had the car towed to my local mechanic. It cost me $47.00 to fix. I asked them why they ALWAYS disappoint me and try to rack me over the coals so to speak. We are a Ford family and we're just treated very badly by this business, after using them for a long time to service our Fords. We own a Mustang a Fusion And a 150 Supercrew, which we bought from Quirk. We gave their Quincy repair shop all our business but this will now end. They received over $10 thousand to fix my daughters Fusion after a collision with a deer and they short changed her on the mirrors. Her car came with blind side monitors and they put on regular mirrors. When we complained they said the car never had blind side monitors yet it was on the purchase sticker from Watertown Ford. Go ahead and cut corners on my daughters safety, see if we return for even an oil change. When my husband brought his cherished Mustang in for work they broke his rim locks, and then denied it. I just bought a 2022 Ford Maverick from Quirk this week. I ordered this car 8 months ago, at a certain price point. A month ago, I got my sticker price from Ford, and the MSRP matched what I had agreed upon 8 months prior. Quirk Ford made sure I got that price for the truck I waited so long for. I'd like to say that the people at Quirk Ford, especially Chris, left a great impression in the end. As one does, I went into the interaction on the defensive, and unsure of what I could get or what I deserved. After some back and forth, the MSRP was honored and everything was done with a very human and understanding touch. I'll be returning to Quirk Ford in the future. An awesome added touch at this dealership: they employ high school kids to run errands and help with test drives. After a NIGHTMARE experience at Herb Chambers where i got the "bait and switch" and the internet sales team accused me of throwing a "hissy fit", told me I wasn't serious and was a "waste of their time". They won't call you back, won't tell you what's wrong with your car, won't take accountability or responsibility for the EXTRA damages they've made to your car. All while collecting from corporate because your car is still under warranty. NEVER bring your car here. This is a horrific place of business. Got a good deal but the salesman and manager can be incredibly unprofessional. It was like pulling teeth to get them to agree to fix the seat and put a bed liner in the truck, but I guess that's just expected at a dealership. But when I was under the impression I was getting both, they apparently we're only giving the seat, not the bed liner. When I brought this up they were immediately argumentative and the salesman (Tousani) just walked around throwing his hands in the air and complaining to everyone he saw. It wouldn't have been so irritating if they just tried to be professional. The only reason I give 2 stars is because they eventually stopped complaining and gave me the bed liner. read more

I leased a Ford Focus here. The service for the life of the lease was pretty good. The staff was nice enough, or at least most of them were. What happened after I returned the car at the end of the lease is where the real negative experience comes in. I though I'd cleaned the vehicle well and picked up all my things. I had, but for my debit card. This was not a card I used very often, rarely even, so I didn't look for it for a few months. I went to my credit union to cancel it and get a new card and that's when I discovered almost $550 charges to the same gas station and vending machines in Norwood, MA. Cut to some sleuthing and a flat out phone call, and it turns out there's an affiliated Quirk auto-detailer in that area. Poor form, all of you. I got about half my money back from my credit union, a nightmare experience in itself, and I now strongly recommend against Quirk Ford. read more

I haven't rated anything on Yelp yet that wasn't food related but I wanted to throw this up here because of my experience at Quirk Ford last night. My wife and I were 2nd car shopping and we stopped in Quirk Ford because Inas interested in an Explorer. We were greeted when we walked in by a sales rep who was very nice. It was 5pm and the showroom closed at 6. I hadn't intended on making a purchase that night and I never felt pressured into doing so. However after a test drive and some good negotiations we decided to make a purchase. The entire process was faster then I've ever purchased a vehicle before. While I haven't yet taken possession of it yet because the RMV is closed, I'm confident with this dealer and hope to come back for my next vehicle. read more

It's not possible to reserve a rental car ahead of time for a scheduled service visit. In the case that a rental car is available, the rental car agency doesn't offer insurance for their rental cars. So your primary vehicle coverage has to cover the rental, otherwise you're personally liable. What kind of rental car agency doesn't allow reservations, or offer insurance coverage? Ford recalled my car for multiple safety issues and apparently included in that is an uninsured, un-reservable rental car. Who wants to play these games? I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

I've been dealing with Quirk Service for almost a year with the same problem with a seat that is defective, they say they replaced seat cover four times, but they are lying to me because I put an X mark on seat with a sharpie marker, they never touched it, the manager that has been fired has texted me saying they are looking into it, but he has not worked there in months, my truck has been sitting in the parking lot at Quirk for over three weeks, they say they brought it in to look at it but it never moved from the same spot, they are lying and have been giving me the run around for almost a year, all I want is the truck fixed the right way under my warranty. I called service today asked for a manager I was told there wasn't one on duty. So I spoke with the gentleman that answered the phone explained the problem with my F150 he was very nice and explained everything to me and told me the cost on top of the warranty work that I should pay. I agreed. He asked me To hold came back and told me the manager said they are not taking new customers. I am so glad they are so busy they can not take new customers. For warranty work. Absolutely staggering level of incompetence. I made an appointment a week in advance to drop my car off Wednesday morning. As of Friday afternoon, they still have done no work on it and have failed to complete their "diagnosis," despite the fact that I explicitly told them all of the issues I was looking to get addressed when I called to make the appointment. I've dealt with Courtney and Kay, two of the most unhelpful people I can possibly imagine, who seem to have no interest in doing any actual work. Avoid this disaster of a service center unless you want to spend several days being ignored while your car sits in a shop, not being serviced. read more

The sales manager is incredibly sexist and condescending to women. Their sales department also quotes different numbers to hook you and switches them when you try to move further on buying, and their sales manager was condescending and aggressive about the numbers I politely told him I got from his own sales department. If you're female or non-binary, avoid this place like the plague. I noticed out of the three most recent reviews, two were from women (who gave 1 star) and one was from a man (who gave 5 stars). So yeah, if you're a guy it seems like a fine dealership, but I'd avoid it anyway to not support sexist douchebags. read more
